One of the best K dramas I have watched
I enjoyed watching this show from start to end, it's rare to see a drama getting better and better with each episode, characters in the show are used well they are not in it for the sake of it, cast did well especially Lee Joon gi was at his best in this drama.Relationship between ML & his family, his sister and fake mother in the sense some scene we feel she is actually the mother she even had a good interaction with Ml's daughter, it was hard to say one character is pure evil except the real baddies in the show. Even that cop character ie friend of FL he was interesting his character was not in the show for the sake of it, each character in the show that is important to the story were used well.
I enjoyed it so much watched it 3 times and still planning to watch whenever get time and feel to watch.

Perfect husband and father with dark hidden crime history, and a perfect wife, righteous detective
Romance and crime balanced in perfectionML - Perfect husband and father to a 6year old girl. Husband material 10/10, Or is he? he comes with dark secrets.
FL - perfect wife and mother. So loving, fun, happy, beautiful, but also ambitious, wise, smart, righteous detective that can catch a bad guy before anyone. She can recognise a criminal within a second. She has the best team of supportive talented smart colleagues. And her amazing mom that is also warm kind person.
Is love so blinding that even one of the best detectives ever can be fooled. How good at disguise is the ML?
Just give yourself two episodes. You won't be able to stop binging this.

Great meaningful conversations that really trigger:
- suspense - these detectives when they talk you feel like you're the part of the investigation, and the puzzle keeps on unveiling
- romance - it's amazing, no details for spoilers, and no need to sell this one, you won't be able to stop binging anyway.
- crime - is not there to gross you out, very few direct violence scene, but suspense is amazing.
- well layered characters - every character is well written as if it was in collaboration with true psychiatrist, portrayal of gray characters and dark characters to the max.
- no empty fillers in this one - every moment is a clue, prepare a nice rainy weekend for this one :) popcorn, snacks, drinks.
- there are not many flaws in this drama,

- can be easily watched with significant other, so much romance and action, great for boyfriend and girlfriend
- not for family watching - too much violence

When the Kdrama showed it's truly thriller side from Rom
It took almost 1 year to watch Flower of Evil from my watchlist because at that time I was still loving rom-com dramas. But after watching Flower of Evil I turned into a thriller lover..Flower of Evil is a drama that is mastered in every drama aspect ' gripping story, solid acting, stunning cinematography, excellent soundtrack ' ..

Yes it's not easy to set the rom-melo and marriage element in the thriller Mystery genre also where our main protagonist looks like an anti-protagonist in first half drama, but the once move to second half we will know why the writer choose the rom-melo element t in thriller genre, because that element is plays crucial role to connect the story as well as the characters. The dynamic relationships between Protagonist with his wife, daughter, sister makes to create great impact on story progression, there are times when the main character is feared of losing his wife and daughter that what makes to create more sympathetic points towards the protagonist.
The side characters were also well developed, with solid storylines and enough involvement in the main story. Spot on was the family drama as well, with many sweet moments between father and daughter in addition to the warmth of the main couple.
Flower of Evil covers a lot of ground, from the formation of psychopaths to the exploration of someone’s identity to the perseverance of love in the face of uncertainty. This show has it all: suspense, melodrama, twists and turns, and romance.

Suspenful
Wow this drama was really good and super suspenseful, it kept you intrigued and guessing the whole way.The character were amazing and well paired, and the ML played that role so well the emotions he portrayed during all of this were so real, that you could feel it. The story was interesting and emotional, i wouod never have thought that was the real killer, it showed how people can lose they way and not look back, hurting innocent like its.a joke.
This drama had everything in it.

The actor's characters were well portrayed and executed as Do really gave me the impression of a loving husband and father but later on if he was accused of killing someone I wouldn't be too surprised. Ji-Won was excellent in showing she is independent so isn't an accessory and the young cop who gets pulled in two directions.The story was intriguing it kept me glued in wondering what was going to happen next. The flashbacks were embedded at the right time as they aid in further understanding the characters.
The romance between the sister and reporter I skipped as it felt awkward and forced as they had a history together yet he wonders how she ended up killing the head.

This had me reeling
I go to Youtube to check which anticipated Korean dramas to watch. It wasn't in the video but it was in the list of comments and there was a lot of people saying how it was a must watch so yeah, I had to watch it and I'm so glad I paid attention to the comments.I like the main character from Two Weeks and Lawless Lawyer so I knew this one was going to be good.
All of the cast had a chemistry that made me boo when it came to an end. I wanted to see more.
It was suspenseful to the very end and there was never a dull moment.
The only question I had was what really happened when the girl killed that guy. She said why but I thought they would've showed it but they didn't . Either way it still had me captivated.

Epic Thriller, It will have you on the edge of your seat!
I absolutely Loved this show. This was by far one of the Best Dramas I've Ever watched! All of the characters were well developed and really keep you guessing. This was my first Lee Joon Gi show and I fell so hard for him! He really had me hooked, I was so twisted up and filled with anxiety over my feelings for him and what side of the line he was on. What really happened and who's responsible? This is a man who has hidden for years in plain sight. After hiding his identity he's living a normal life with a family and a job. He was the perfect example of "just how well do you think you know someone?". I was literally on the edge of my seat so anxious to see what would unfold. His detective wife played by Moon Chae Won, was a phenomenal character. You connect and love her from the start. You also want to smack her because let's be honest "girl, do you have no sense of self preservation". She's a woman who knew what she wanted and lets be honest I would have strong armed Lee Joongi too, it he would give me the chance. I was a complete wreck emotionally waiting for all the pieces to come together and the inevitable shoe to drop. I needed to know what was going to happen and what is real and what is fake. I seen this drama a while ago but just skipped over and recently decided to just watch first episode to see how it is and if I’d want to watch it and honestly I wish I watched it when I first saw it, it’s really good and I definitely recommend even though the episodes are long as someone who gets bored with episodes being long this was really good, every minute was good, great acting. it’s a thriller and crime series it has romance and I’m not really big on romance dramas but this one I really liked.Was this review helpful to you?

LEE JONGI YOU ARE SO HANDSOME AAAAAAthis is honestly one of the best kdramas i’ve ever watched, it had the perfect blend of angst, action, thriller, romance and drama. i can’t believe i put this drama on the shelves for too long (quite literally for 4 years😭)
need more of these types of kdrama, kudos to the writers and actors/actresses who brought this story to life, i felt the pain of the FL esp when she cried, i cried too. it touched me to the core. the casting fits so well !!!!!

love the story, the suspense has me on the edge of my seat the whole time, the whole time i was questioning whether or not he was the murdereri always recommend this kdrama to others and the all love it too
the reason I gave a low rating for rewatch ability is because the suspense doesn't work on the second watch

Has everything. Top of my list now.
I watch some shows for the good romance.I watch some shows for some good action.
I watch some shows for a good mystery, with plot twists.
This show had them all.
The top notch acting makes me surprised I haven't run into these actors on anything else. That includes supporting actors as well, and there were many, with good storylines of their own, and interesting arcs. My wife is not even a kdrama fan, and she was hooked as well.
Go watch this show. Now!
