Nice Storyline
This drama started a bit slow but built up the tempo each episode. I love how it progressed.I believe the cast did an amazing job. I love old Zhang and his cunning little plots to bring Sinian and Yun Shu together. They had amazing chemistry. The second and third leads also did well. I really love and admire Miles Wei. I always remembered "Only for Love." And I feel in love with "You are My Secret" which in my opinion is one, if not the best romance Chinese drama in 2024. He has developed into an handsome, incredible, and outstanding actor and it shows in all his dramas. Thank you Miles Wei for bringing such great dramas into our homes. You're awesome! I will continue to support you. Please take a bow!👏🏽💐💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽💐👏🏽Was this review helpful to you?

first of all I want to tell that I watch only the first 15 min of the drama @ the beginning and i dropped watching this drama. after some days i read some review those were very useful to me . and now i am giving my review.here the story line is very interesting according to me . I love the characters that followed by the main leads . and also the plot gives many twist and turn in the story .
And from this we can learn many things which are related to many peoples life . there are many plot that drag between misunderstanding but here the plot was very strong between the ML and FL . that shows some connection toward the reality .

Warm Tones, Warm Hearts, and Perfectly Low-Stress
Perfect and Casual has the gentle warmth of a spring sun shower — soft, refreshing, and quietly uplifting. The warm green palette, the mellow lofi-esque soundtrack, and the steady, unhurried pacing create a world that feels calming from the very first episode. It’s the kind of drama that settles around you like a cozy sweater: clean, simple, and pleasant. The story uses the familiar “contract marriage” trope, but handles it with more restraint and sincerity than most. Nothing feels chaotic or gimmicky. The female lead can be a little whiny and childish in the beginning, and the male lead comes across pretty blunt and nerdy, but both impressions fade as the characters deepen. She grows into someone more capable and grounded, while his cold exterior melts into something awkwardly tender. Their romance unfolds quietly — through small routines, unexpected softness, and the comfort of everyday companionship.
Grandpa remains the heart of the show, with his scheming warmth and gentle meddling. He brings humor and emotional grounding in equal measure, and there’s a steady, old-soul wisdom in the way he nudges the leads toward growth without ever stealing the spotlight. His affection is the quiet thread that holds the story together.
The side couple, on the other hand, is a bit of a chaotic mess. They add energy, but not always in a way that feels cohesive. Still, their presence gives the story some texture, even if it’s not exactly a highlight.
Simply put: it isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s exactly the kind of cutesy comfort one reaches for on a quiet day. A few scenes linger longer than they need to, and some conflicts tie up too neatly for my taste, yet the overall experience remains warm, soothing, and pleasantly unhurried.

Sweetest Marriage Contract Drama you can see
This was my first Chinese full length drama which I watched 4 years back. I feel nostalgic just thinking how I loved every single details of this drama back then 🥹 ✨ .Until now I was unable to move on from the cuteness of Miles Wei and Xu Rou Han which will forever have a special place in my heart. The secondary couple was cute too!
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves watching contractual marriage dramas and u'll:not regret it 🖖

Cute drama
This was the first drama by Wei Zheming that I've watched (and the first cdrama I've ever watched). The characters were cute, and the storyline was awesome. Normally, romance isn't my favourite genre, but after watching this, my perspective has changed quite a bit.Perfect and Casual is about Yun Shu, a college student who stumbles into a series of unimaginable events because of her college professor, Zhang Sinian, a perfectionist who doesn't like mistakes and disorder. Because of the latter's grandfather's illness, the two are forced together and begin a rather bumpy relationship. However, as time passes, the two get closer together and start loving each other for real.
The FL did a pretty good job portraying her character, a college student who is ready to graduate. She is a very sweet character, but she does get annoying at times (but, at the same time, you will feel bad for her). She had quite the ups and downs in her journey throughout the drama, which makes the drama a whole lot more interesting. However, the only downside is that her crying doesn't seem natural enough, but it doesn't affect her character too much.
The ML also did an excellent job in this drama. The only reason why I found this drama is because of Call Me By Fire S3, where I immediately fell in love with Wei Zheming's cuteness. In the drama, he plays the role of a young college professor who is centered around perfectionism. His character may seem annoying and arrogant at first, but after a while, he will grow on you, especially during the moments he spends with the FL.
Overall, this drama is very good. The story was amazing, the acting was great, and this drama is definitely worth a rewatch!

Perfectly Predictable but still Comforting
Just to say at the beginning: this is my fourth drama with Miles Wei as the lead, so I started watching it just because of him. Also, I really enjoy contract marriage or marriage-of-convenience stories. They are fun, light, and usually end happily—just how I like it.Perfect and Casual is a drama that follows a story we’ve seen many times before—a fake marriage turning into real love. But even though the plot is full of common romance drama ideas, it’s still enjoyable and well done. The drama doesn’t try to be too serious, and that’s part of its charm. It knows what it is and doesn’t pretend to be something deep or emotional.
The best part of the show is the main couple. Miles Wei plays a quiet, serious professor, and he does a great job showing his softer side. The female lead, played by Xu Ruo Han, starts off a bit silly and overly kind, but she grows stronger as the story moves forward. Their chemistry is amazing—you really believe in their love and want to see them together.
One thing I really liked was how the couple talked to each other. They solved problems by talking honestly, not by fighting or having big misunderstandings. This made their relationship feel healthy and real.
On the downside, some parts of the drama feel slow. The side couples are not as interesting, and I skipped through a few of their scenes. Also, the story stays on the light side—it doesn’t have big emotional moments or surprises.
Overall, Perfect and Casual is a sweet, relaxing drama that’s perfect when you want something simple and romantic. It’s not the best, but it’s still worth watching for the main couple and their lovely relationship. I would rate it 7.5 out of 10.

Otherwise, else is great. The story is about a clumsy girl with a smart and cold male lead, where the male lead helps the female lead whenever she is in trouble.

Neither are perfect but they are perfect for each other
9.5/10 is my rating. This is a 2020 Chinese romantic comedy drama with 24, 45 minute episodes.
First I will provide a synopsis then review.
Synopsis
Zhang Si Zian (Wei Zhe Ming) is a genius level math professor who is handsome, wealthy and generally seems to have it all. His personality is on the coldly logical side and his emotional intelligence is only slightly better than a robot. Yun Shu (Xu Ruo Han) Is almost the direct opposite she is so warm, calm and caring that she is easily swindled. She has to work hard for academic success. A series of unfortunate events for Yun Shu leads her to rely on Si Zian for a place to live. Si Zian’s grandfather meets Yun Shun in a chance encounter and thinks this ray of sunshine would be the perfect match for his grandson who lacks warmth in his life. Now that Yun Shu is no longer a student, they have no reason not to please Si Zian’s terminally ill grandfather’s wish and strike a deal for a secret comtract marriage. What they find is grandfather may have had it right about them all along, they balance each other beautifully. But love that starts under such unusual circumstances is never easy and the two must decide if they want their comtract to become the real deal.
Review
This is a well paced, relatively straight forward plot, with a lot if really engaging characters.
The way the lead couple compliment each other makes it easy to see why they would fall in love. When she thinks she is not right because rhey are too different the grandfather says two parallel lines never intersect. That was such a profound and brilliant way to state it. Being too different can be a problem if it is not complimentary but being exactly the same can be boring. I like that having the Male Lead’s support made her absolutely flourish. And the grandfather as the match maker was cute! He fell in love with her as a granddaughter candidate and knew she was perfect for his grandson who needed someone sweet and warm to offset his cooly logical personality. It ended happy and all major story lines were wrapped up.
Spoilers
Practically perfect but it did end with some question marks. Did the grandfather ever go for treatment? Was the reconciliation of her two best friends as a couple successful? What happened with her webtoon career because it was taking off then she did not go abroad so how bad was it derailed? It would have been good to see her sister and her actor boyfriend fully together. It ended with him on relationship “probation.”

Lots of Expectations But Many Disappointments
I picked up Perfect & Casual because I wanted a drama with a sweet, nice, respectable male lead. And I was so happy to find out that he was that and more - patient, caring, thoughtful and more. He treats the female lead with respect from the start, always mindful of her own desires and ambitions. He seeks to support and uplift her and is genuinely happy in seeing her succeed. The female lead on the other hand was a major disappointment. She was bright, spunky and charming in the beginning, but as her relationship with the ML deepened, her personality vanished. She seemed to only be a prop to showcase the ML's charm.
Every episode had at least scene where the FL would encounter an issue, dramatic music would begin to play in the background, and the ML would swoop in and save her using his wits. In one ep, a person cuts in front of the FL in the lunch line and I swear, the drama made it seem like the whole cafeteria's panties dropped when the ML stopped the person in their tracks and gave him a stern scolding.
Those moments were over-the-top but funny, but the consistent damsel-in-distress moments became tiresome when you realize that the FL's successes were only a result of the ML intervening. It became difficult to parse out the FL's personality, her interests and desires, beyond the ML.
The drama's early episodes fit the vibe of Because This Is My First Life, a kdrama of two pleasant, mature people who enter into a contract marriage and find themselves a perfect match, so I was thrilled when I began watching Perfect & Casual. But as each plot point wrapped up, I kept hoping the FL would find her personality again, but by the time I got to episode 17, I realized there was little chance the FL's personality would revive itself. I swear, at times, the age gap between the two characters felt like decades, rather than just a few years.
I would recommend this drama if you want an easy watch. The ML is one of the kindest male leads I've come across in my 13+ year drama-watching journey. But if you want a little more meat to your FL's, I'd pass.

Don’t even know what to say
There is nothing I hate more than the bashing of FLs in C & K Dramas. It’s my biggest pet peeve. But this series pushed all the freaking wrong buttons for me. In my fight to support the actresses of C & K TV industry from the constant bashing from viewers and fans, I vehemently refuse to blame this actress, so I lay my blame and vitriol solely at the feet of the writers and directors of this snooze dumb fest. I have said this several times in some of my reviews, the writers and directors of C & K Dramas need to STOP portraying their female characters as weak, timid, useless and brainless. It’s beyond ridiculous and so damn insulting to women. The few episodes I watched the FL can’t do anything without d help of d ML or her friends. She acts like a literal child. We are know that movies and series are scripted and then acted but for movies and series to be great they need to not feel like acting but even if it does feel like acting let it atleast be good acting, well to say this one failed woefully in that aspect is such an understatement. It felt like acting and not even in a good way.
I tried to endure this and continue watching but the more I watched the more I felt like I was not only losing brain cells but also forcing myself to watch it. So I dropped this.
1/10 is being generous as there is no option for 0/10.
