Pikachu Love Story
So this is my second time rewatching this drama and I think I'm still in love with this! The story is quite familiar and somewhat similar to a thai movie that I have watched but this one makes me feel single for a million times. If you haven't watched this drama, YOU SHOULD! 🖤 I definitely recommend it to you. If you want a sweet romantic comedy drama with sports theme then you should start with this one. It's reminds me of Skate Into Love ( one of my favorite cdrama of 2020 )I'm gonna be honest with you guys. The main reason why I start to watch this drama first because I found the male lead is good looking ( who else don't do that lmao 🤣) and also their character is so cute and not annoying! Also their chemistry is overflowing with sweetnesses that might the reason why I am still in love with them until today. 😭 And I am
still so happy to see how their feelings develop on each episodes. I love how Mai si Chong make an innocent and annoyed face everytime he was teased by his friend, the way he call Weiwei "Pikachu" and the second couple .🤣 I'm gonna miss them so much!!!

Second time was better
This was the second time I tried this drama. The first time, I couldn't get past Episode 4 because none of the characters were clicking for me. FL wasn't someone I'd actually want to be friends with, the 2ML looked really creepy to me, I was too fixated on the roommate's eyebrows, and I was really, really, struggling and distracted by FL's style. I've said it before but I don't know why Chinese dramas like to dress the FL as either an 8 year old in patent shoes or like a grandmother in frumpy dresses, lace, and frills. I don't know what look they were going for with the FL but how I wish I could dress her!!! It makes me wonder too if the actresses ever say anything about these outfits!!I was in between dramas so on a whim, I decided to try this again. Once I got through a few more episodes, the FL and ML grew on me as did the other side characters. I ended up enjoying the rest of the drama and it was a good filler for me.

When Pikachu fell in love..
Nothing profound to see here. Just the usual pure entertainment. A young love, almost innocent love shared between the ML and the FL..Added a little paranormal element to their love, an electric current flowing through our FL body. A spark, causing an attraction to who ever is affected by it.
After they've gotten over that challenge and still manage to be friends, they eventually fell in love. The latter part of the story was a bit unnecessary, for me. After facing all the obstacles, the FL left the ML without notice? Oh well, they still ended up together. Happy ending for everyone.

Delightful fluff piece that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy
From start to finish i was smiling. Sure there were parts that were sad like the whole bit where he got framed and later when she had to leave for a while, but while those problems did take a while to be solved our main couple stayed together and in love. The whole typical "for the greater good" breakup didnt happen at least not in the way youd expect it to. And although both were ready to sacrifice for the other they still had such a healthy relationship. Definitely would recommend this show. And its one I will be rewatching. I generally dont have many cdramas I'm willing to rewatch but this is up on my list along with 'You Are My Glory' and 'Meeting You'. Both those had this same fresh healthy happy feeling. Tbh in real life unless its an absolutely unbearably bad situation most couples share their troubles and sort them out together. Thats why i find dramas like this way more relatable and realistic. I'm not one for angst and if you're like me then give this a watch!! You will not regret it. Our main couple has amazing chemistry and a satisfying abundance of screen time. The story is a little fast paced at times which is why i didnt score it a 10 but its not lacking. You will not be disappointed. Plus point all the side couples are adorable and not annoying in the least.Was this review helpful to you?

This is the first Chinese drama I love so much I repeat again and again 💓❤️ I watch this drama many time in a day love to see their next drama together ❤️❤️❤️their chemistry is full out of 10/10 I am very impressed about this drama and story is excellent.The concept is all very good!Best wishes for upcoming drama .and hope to see again and again with the full enjoyment upcoming drama .Both the male and female leads act is excellent.thry role their character very well and supporting characters also role very well.

From strangers, to enemies, to confidante, to friends and then to lovers <3
I'm re-watching this for the second time, after watching so many of those YouTube vertically filmed shows that are soooooooo heavy with drama, i needed some sweetness, and this was a perfect choice to re-watch. I think I'm also enjoying it more the second time around.They have such great chemistry, and there romance is soo sweet. I love how they went from strangers, to enemies, to confidante, to friends and then lovers, and i love how there wasn't any issue transitioning into lovers from friends, which i find does have some issues in other dramas that has a similar friends to lovers trope. They are so sweet and affectionate, they make you smile and blush.
PS. I've seen enough to not care about the logic behind the FL's powers haha, so dash that out of an open window, and just enjoy a sweet couple, nothing to be taken seriously, truly a fluffy show to watch

An irksome female character that makes me want to bang my head against the TV..
it is an injustice to this promising show with a beautiful male lead.I'll start off with my verbal diarrhea before I go to the good parts.
Weiwei, her character sucks. Surely, I am not the only one who thinks so? The only redeemable quality of Weiwei is her "Pikachu" powers... or is it? Yeah, I get it she got this static electricity condition, she's young, she's had a hard time in high school, yada yada yada... but it's not an excuse to be so dishonest, never forthcoming and always lie. She didn't even treated her friend well, like can you not apologise? Either her character is a total idiot or just likes to string along two guys at the same time. Come on, not all girls are like that you know?
It is insufferable how unfair she treated the ML and SML on the first half of this show. I understand the intent with the love triangle. The show needed some angst, but surely there are other effective less annoying ways to convey this. Her character could have, should have been better.
This was even made worse with her character styling and her overall look. Why is she styled so terribly? I don't understand the need for a bad haircut and frumpy clothes. The styling made her look bad deliberately. And last but not the least, the FL actress. I have seen a lot of dramas and very forgiving on acting... but the actress' performan ce is very "meh".
Now that's out of the way... we need to talk about Zhang Ling He. This upcoming actor is not just a beautiful face, but this man can act. He got a very expressive eyes. I picked up Sparkle Love because of ZLH and watching it in parallel with Maiden Holmes. You wouldn't know he is a new actor based on his performance. He did fairly well in this show, while it wasn't a heavy melodrama, he nailed his scenes. Unfortunately for the FL, being paired to him made her acting look mediocre.
The story is light and fluffy. Its about your usual overbearing jock with personal issues, falling in love with your typical girl with a special condition. And just to make it interesting, they mixed it up with likable secondary characters.
While Zhang Ling He is a total babe and I can watch him for days, I have stopped around episode 16/17, just because I find the FL irksome. I don't think its about the chemistry either, the FL just doesn't have that spark (pun intended), its flat. I haven't had my mojo back to pick it back up and watch, but maybe I will one of these days.

Electric girl shocks the male lead and they fall in love
Its been a couple weeks since i finished so please forgive me if anything is wrong. For the most part the drama was enjoyable!. Loved how the female lead has a higher level of electricity in her system and when she shocks them they will temporary fall in love with her. Its a cute concept.This drama was enjoyable up until the last 4 episodes?
Background- female lead body's somehow can conduct electricity, so she tries to stay away from people especially males,. Once she accidentally shocks them the male will temporarily fall in love. lol.
Male lead is super serious hard core just focus on his swimming, he doesnt even have site for girls. The female lead accidentally shocks him and he starts to fall in love with her. The male lead also figures out that the person who saved him from an accident long ago was the female lead. Thus beginning to pursue the girl. At the meantime she tries to use her electricity to help the male lead with physical therapy. He had an accident which he injured his knee. He found out that after kissing the female lead his score for swimming gets better, so he thinks she his medicine.
The story however doesnt just stay sweet, and somehow it develops in a weird way. The last four episodes honestly didnt even need to be there. He ends up going to train for the city's swim team and they are separate. The story is no longer interesting ...

This was cute. A top university swimmer and a human Pikachu fall in love. After many obstacles, of course. And after he stops being a jerk to her. It's his journey, from a big a-hole to the best boyfriend under the sun. I felt very single after the final episode 😔But really, it's honestly quite the sweet drama. He stops pulling her pigtails rather quickly, once he realizes that he might do everything in his powers to annoy her, true, but he hates it when other people hurt her. And he even enlists his mom to help her. BTW, his mother? Quite an awesome lady, also quite enamored with her son's new lady friend. No bad parents for this main pairing.
He truly is all ride or die for her. At one point, he's even ready to drop swimming, his lifelong dream, simply to protect her. Because if push came to shove, he would always choose her. Who would not love a love like that?
And she! Quite mistrusting of his affections at first, for obvious reasons, considering her powers. But slowly, she lets him in and she lets herself believe that his feelings are genuine and then... then she simply adores him. Their love is so soft and so honest. Once they get together, there are no big fights, no misunderstandings, only love and the need to protect the other from any harm.
I liked this one a lot!

Light & Easy Watch with a Shock
An easy watch about a college swimmer, a girl with unique abilities, & the sweet love that develops between them.Aside from the mega annoying male wannabe love rival (seriously, what is up with writing toxic characters who can’t accept when their crush is just.not.into.them?!) I enjoyed this series. The Leads are super cute together, being really supportive of each other. It’s fairly drama free except for the aforementioned character.
The FL just wants to be normal, which is seemingly impossible since she emits a frequency that can cause an electric shock. She does her best to hide it, though, as she wants to be just another college student. But this trait causes more trouble when she accidentally shocks the school heartthrob, who then begins pursuing her publicly. Knowing he’s only doing it because of the shock, she repeatedly rejects him. But what if the feelings that came upon him from the shock turned real?
The ML is a swimming legend with a secret - an injury is causing issues with his abilities. Because of his naturally bold & outgoing personality, when he gets shocked into pursuing her, he does it relentlessly - undeterred by her continuous rejections. But when the effects of the shock wear off, will he want anything to do with her?
Like I said earlier, I enjoyed this. The synopsis makes it seem like it could have lots of drama between the Leads, but there’s actually very little. Once he learns her secret & asks her to use it to help with an injury, they begin spending more time together & form a friendship. When he then pursues her for real, no shock needed, he’s very sweet about it. And he becomes super protective of her - doing all he can to help her with her condition & keeping it a secret like she wants. He never looks at her as a freak or a problem, which earns him the FL’s affection. They’re a cute couple who bravely face their future together. And while, yes, the FL does at one point push him away to “protect” him cause here ability starts really acting up, I don’t deem it an actual break up because she’s just hiding from him & he’s seeking her out the whole time. There’s no actual break up scene & when he finds her & confronts her, they reconcile right then. So maybe others would say they broke up, but I’m sticking with my opinion.

Cute and Enjoyable Modern Fantasy Romance Drama
I only watched it for Zhanglinghe and the story is cute. The sweet moments are the best part for me. I skipped some parts i don't find interesting especially because sports dramas are not really my cup of tea.The fl is cute not the annoying type which made me really enjoy the show. Zhanglinghe's character is very sweet and funny especially the part when he was first shocked by the fl and ended up mistakingly falling inlove. The school part of the story does not really interest me but it's quite fun. There are some things i really find annoying or hard to watch but maybe it's just me being overly critical to the show. The Osts are quite fine but and pacing is also fast. It's worth binge-watching if you ever want something that is sweet, fun and not stress-free plot.Was this review helpful to you?
Perfectly perfect
Definitely my favourite University / school drama, the story line is so cute, the two leads had alot of chemistry, lots of beautiful heart felt touching moments! Lots of butterflies! The kissing wasnt too bad either, could have been better but could have definitely been alot worse, lots of cute kisses and just sweet romantic scenes! Definitely recommend watching this one!
