Really Beautiful Love Story and Friendships

I really hate writing reviews but really don't understand the hate some dramas get after just watching a couple episodes of one or because it may have a sad ending.

I really loved this drama and I can honestly say I questioned it at first with the cgi but it got so much better and it became a beautiful story between three characters. I started watching this drama for Cheng Yi and Yang Zi cause I loved them in Love and Redemption and Ashes of Love. Their chemistry and love story has become one of my favorites it literally keeps you waiting for more sweet moments between them. Also not to mention the friendship and love between all three characters. How they all became so close even though both males were in love with the same girl but had such an understanding to each other. I mean even if you don't get into the love story between the main leads how can you not fall in love with Yumo's character all the way through this he was such a refreshing second male lead. The sets and costumes for this drama I also thought were so beautiful. I don't know I just feel like judging a drama base on sad endings and a couple of episodes you may just be missing a drama you could love but I get it the drama may not be your cup of tea but why do nothing but hate on it for those two reasons. Don't consider this spoilers but could be wrong?

Was so hooked since the first episode!!

Such an amazing enemies to lovers story. It starts out with you seeing the ML's family being betrayed and how he loses them right in front of him. You watch him overcome this hatred he has for this family that caused the downfall of his own, and the guilt he feels to them that he is no longer feeling this hatred. It is a slow burn romance but with them being enemies to lovers you do kinda just expect that. Even though a slow burn the romance in the drama was still so good to watch. You get pulled in by all these characters and I don't just mean the leads by all of them. All the characters I thought were all played so well that you will either love them or hate them.

Liu Yu Ning was amazing in this drama!! I have seen a few of his dramas but Wei Shao will be one of my favorite characters of his he has played. I keep watching more of his dramas and listening to more of his songs and have to say becoming hooked on this guy. This was the first drama I have seen the FL in and she was also amazing to watch in this drama. I loved the chemistry between her and Liu Yu Ning.

A character that I have to mention is Wei Yan I know a lot of people probably found him annoying and really unlikable at times but I liked this guy. He cracked me up with his facial expressions and the way he came off at times. I have never seen the actor that played him before (at least I don't think) but he also became one of my favorite characters in this. Though toward the end it seemed like they didn't really know what to do with him anymore, and he kinda just faded into the background a bit. I wished they would of done more with him though he could of been a useful character done right.

Spoilers start here:
I was going to try to write this review about spoilers but there is a big one that I just have to talk about it this review, and that is of the great general Wei Liang. I loved this guy he was so bubbly and cute. I called him dopey all the way through this because yes he was silly but he was also still smart when he needed to be. You fall in love with this big teddy bear of a guy I just don't see how you couldn't he was amazing. Then they have him die in the saddest way possible and I cried big time at this scene. I couldn't believe they killed him off, and the reactions of all the ones close to him broke me even more. It was so heartbreaking. I think I cried more for this guy then the cousin.

I write reviews just from my thoughts on a drama and this drama had me hooked is really all I can say. It may be for you or it may not but I think it is at least worth a chance.

Won't say its perfect but....

I also won't say this is the worst drama I've ever watched either or that its the worst one out there. I was interested in the story to the very end. Granted there a lot of things they really could of done better. Number 1 thing being not making the fl the most hated character ever. No one liked her decisions all the way through this drama, but even through that the actress did great playing this character. Also really enjoyed the male lead here to hope to see him in more dramas.

I really enjoyed this drama and have stopped letting the whole "I am going to hurt you with my words to get you to move on" thing to bother me. There are so many dramas that do this it is one thing that they love to do. I really wanted to watch this and with each episode it made me want to watch the next to see what will happen. Is this a happy love story no it is not it is more of a revenge story. You have a little bit of love in some of the episodes but the characters will not stop until they have succeeded in their revenge and that is made clear by even hurting people you love to make it happen. The chemistry between the two leads was also something to watch. Yes the fl hurts the ml most of the time but their scenes together at least kept me watching.

The one thing that I think actually annoyed me with this show was them trying to redeem the 2ml at the end, and actually having the fl feel bad for him. Why do they keep trying to do that with evil second male leads, and not being able to make up their minds if they want to do a sad ending or not. This I guess technically doesn't have a sad ending depending on how you want to interpret it. The leads are still alive at the end. Any more with dramas if one can keep me invested all the way through it without me getting bored that is what I look for, and this one succeeded.

Zhao Lusi Shines as the Pearl Girl!!!

Zhao Lu Si is my favorite actress and have to say she did not disappoint in this role. Really enjoyed watching her all the way through this drama. Also really loved her scenes with Liu Yu Ning as well even though this drama was not heavy focused on the romance side of it. I still didn't think that made this show lacking in anyway. This drama is focused on Duan Wu about her being a pearl diver, breaking free, and becoming a successful business woman and all the hardships she goes through to get there. Zhao Lu Si really delivered on these scenes I have also thought that she does very well with emotional parts. She always makes me want to cry with her. Granted I can see where this wouldn't be an exciting watch to some if your not a big Zhao Lu Si fan.

Also have to mention these two characters that really caught my attention and they were Kang Ju and Zheng Zhi Heng. They both were just amazing to watch. I felt for both of them Kang Ju for how desperate he was to get a cure for Yan Zi Jing and for Zheng Zhi Heng in how in love he was with Cui Shi Jiu and she hardly ever showed she cared for him in that way until it was to late. Her character actually annoyed me a bit and I wanted better for Zheng Zhi Heng.

I have only one nitpick for this drama and that is the ending. For me I wouldn't call it a sad ending or an open ending it was just blank. They skipped out on giving you really anything. You don't actually get to see Yan Zi Jing die which I think just takes away from the whole sad ending part and can't call it an open ending cause you do know he is dying without a cure in sight. So you don' t really have any hope of them having a happy ending. I have never minded sad ending in fact kind of expect them anymore but just to not give us anything after watching everything these two went through together was a bit upsetting wish they would of done more.

Epic Enemies to Lovers Story!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this drama!! This has so many things done right from romance, action, comedy, and a bit of mystery. From the way the first episode starts I don't see how anyone wouldn't be hooked and want to know what will happen next. Oh I wish I was better at giving reviews then I am really just putting my opinion on a drama instead of just some fancy words which I'm not good at.

This was such a different role to see Chen Zhe Yuan do as he plays a red flag ML in the beginning of this as it is an enemies to lovers drama, but he was so great to watch to play this role. He really does fantastic, and his chemistry with the FL is incredible. Qin Tian Yu who plays the emperor of Jinxiu though he plays a toxic character I really enjoyed watching him. He actually made me laugh so much with his antics and his chemistry and dynamic with the 2FL I loved even if its not a popular opinion. Chen He Yi playing another toxic role I think he does incredible with this role just glad they didn't try to redeem his character here.

The Story:
This starts with the war between Susha and Jinxiu as you watch the ML get hurt by the FL and have to retreat. As he is retreating you see the FL lead also being ambushed by people and not knowing by who as she also gets really hurt. Not knowing who ambushes her and finding out she doesn't remember anything she doesn't know who to trust. The ML figuring out that she may of been betrayed by her own people offer to joins up with her to help her get her memory back and to find out who wanted her dead, and you watch as they slowly start to trust each other and fall in love. The way the story is done and the fight scenes are so good and I loved it from start to finish.

Spoilers: (for a bit of a rant and spoiler toward the end of it)

I don't want to spoil too much of this drama cause I just think it should be watched. It is a really good drama, but there is something I want to rant about. That is the character Xiyang which is the ML's little sister I went back and forth on whether I liked this character at first. Does she make some bad decisions yes she does and it really doesn't really even make sense why she did it. She agrees to a marriage alliance with the 2ML all based on what silly meeting between him and her. She breaks her brother's and father's heart for this man that she really knows nothing about and knows he doesn't feel anything for her. Where I changed my mind on her though was when she does get to Jinxiu with him and meets his brother the emperor. Yes is the relationship toxic yes it is, but I enjoyed her and the emperor so much. She shows really how tough and smart she is even if she does make dumb decisions in the beginning. So even if no one agrees with me these two have become one of my favorite couples. I really hate that they killed off the emperor in the end too even though I predicted they would. He really did love her even if he was a horrible person, but I don't think she ever felt anything for him. Okay rant over if you read my rant and read this spoiler even though I think it is predictable. Still give this drama a chance and see if you enjoy it and maybe if you feel the same way I do about this couple as I do.

Such a rollercoaster!!

I came across this drama because it was recommended on my YouTube and I watched the video on it. Thought it could be interesting to watch but wasn't to sure because I hadn't seen any of the actors really in anything else. I am so glad I gave this short drama a shot. I really do think this is the best short drama I have watched so far. What can be so annoying with short dramas is they don't take the time to explain anything or go into back stories very well. This drama did all that and more, and I have not seen these actors before but I was blew away with their acting. The ML his break down scenes I thought were insane I wanted to cry with the guy.

For me I felt like the story kept me on the edge of my seat just wanting to know what else was going to happen next with these two lead characters. Yes there are some misunderstandings between these two but I didn't find it as annoying as most dramas, cause a lot of the time the misunderstands are just so silly that your just rolling your eyes and wanting them to get over it already. The misunderstandings in this wasn't like that you can understand and feel for them. Was annoyed with the 2ML for a little while cause he came off as that typical cling to the FL even though I know she doesn't feel that way for me type of 2ML, and I can't stand with they just can't take a hint. This 2ML was actually bigger in the show then he first comes off. Also the chemistry between the two leads was so good.

I think this drama should at least be given a shot for a short drama. It does cover everything and you are not left wondering what actually happened or needing questions answered cause they just forgot about it. It also does have a happy ending for ones that don't like sad endings.

Really liked this even with all the cuts

I enjoyed this drama a lot and found that only the last episode was a real problem for me with the editing. I get that they made a lot of cuts all the way through this but I still didn't find it that hard to watch. All the actors did really great in this and they were such a joy to watch. Have to point out that Zhang Ling He was amazing as this character and I just really love watching and supporting dramas he does.

Two other characters I really loved in this was Mu Zhanting and Yin Ya. Mu Zhanting was hilarious in most of his scenes I couldn't stop laughing at him, and Yin Ya was adorable and proved he was a loyal friend in the end. Loved the chemistry between Zhang Ling He and Jing Tian and loved their scenes together. I don't think this drama should just be judged on the editing when the actors did an incredible job. I say give it a watch and see if you like it or not everyone has their own opinions.

If your a romance lover you may love this

I think if you like a love story you will like this. This drama is a really cute love story between the ML and FL and there is no love triangles or really any misunderstandings between them just a story about how they fall in love with each other. Some may find the billiards aspect boring but I didn't think they really went into it that much with being that they didn't even go into explaining how the game is played. I think that is because they didn't focus on that point they wanted the focus on the love story more.

I loved Wu Lei and Zhao Jin Mai in this drama they were great together. The way the ML looks at the FL is one thing I focused a lot on. A lot of the things that the ML did for the FL in this was just so sweet to watch. I think just watching this drama for these two is worth it even if you don't want to watch them play billiards. One thing I also wished they would of done more with the love story of the FL's brother it was like they meant to do something with it and then just forgot. They have you know there is something between her brother and this girl just for nothing to ever happen between them even their conversations are a bit awkward and you don't know what happened between them. The girl that played her brothers love interest I really liked when she was with his sister she became like a big sister to her.

This drama I think is for romance lovers but can understand not wanting to watch them play this game and finding it boring. I almost didn't watch it because I was afraid it would go into the billiards thing to much but after watching it I really don't think they did. So it just depends on what you find too much or not. If your a romance lover though I say at least give it a shot.

Got through this mainly for Bai Lu...

The main draw for this drama to watch it was for Bai Lu I do really like her shows, and upon seeing the trailer I thought it looked really good to watch. The whole thing being around a Feud for a couple was interesting and I do tend to like dramas like that, but unfortunately I felt this one fell a bit flat. It really is extremely frustrating to watch wondering exactly what their Feud is really about and they don't let you know for some time. So buckle up and just wait for it cause it doesn't come out easily.

Bai Lu's performance once again was not a let down for this drama. I do really like to watch her and she helped with getting through this drama. I really like Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng when they were feuding through this but I really didn't feel chemistry between them. Maybe its because I also felt that they did not actually focus or do a very good job at portraying their love story. So I won't put it all down to bad chemistry but they focused so hard on their feud that when it came time for their love story I just didn't believe that these two people loved each other at all, and I won't put that on Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng they did their best with this script that they were given. I wish they would have focused more on their love story then some of their silly side characters that they just had to keep throwing into everything. I was tired of seeing half of them.
I really haven't seen Joseph Zeng in much but I don't think he really did a bad job at portraying his character either there was just something really missing in this story.

Spoilers will start from here:

My actual favorite scenes in this drama were ones with the guy who played Meng Chang Qin who was also in the drama (Hard to Find). He just had really funny moments and his bond with Bai Lu's character was so good. Him being there for her when she had her son and until she lost him. Then Bai Lu's character also loses him around the same time. All of these scenes were really heartbreaking. You felt for her character losing her son and this man that stayed beside her through it all. I'm sorry but I felt more for her losing this man then the ML just because I really didn't believe their love story at all. I just think this actor for his guest appearance deserves a little bit of credit. He was definitely a highlight for me.

I actually liked the guy who also played the villain. You won't know that there is a villain for awhile they keep that pretty well hidden and just kind of seemed they wanted someone else to be behind the main characters Feud. To sweep it all under the rug that they had this feud going on between them and it was all this guys fault. Even though I think he was another highlight to watch from a lot of the other side characters that they make you get to know and watch what is going on with them. Why they thought this was more important the couples love story I just don't know. I would of liked to watch more of Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng actually being a couple then two people that just really seemed to hate each other.

Toward the last few episodes actually did a bit of fast forwarding just wanting it to end. They just did way to much on focusing on things I really didn't think matter to the story of these two, and also the monologues were just getting way out of hand before they would actually even continue a scene. A scene would go on way too long with them just talking your in the middle of a battle and having just this absurd conversation in the middle. With a better script and all these good actors that they had this really could of been an amazing drama, but in the end I just feel like it fell flat for me. That is my opinion I know there is a lot of love for this drama but for me unfortunately that was just not the case.

Its a very cute youth drama...

I do my reviews on just my opinion you don't have to agree.

First I am going to mention the kids that played all the main actors as children I found them so adorable and they did so well at portraying their characters. I think they deserve to be mentioned though I understand some may not agree.

Jiang Qiao Xi
I am a Zhang Ling He fan and again I don't think he disappoints in this drama. Some of his facial expressions especially the one where he looks at Cherry in the gym I found just so cute. I love watching him no matter what he does. I do think that they could of showed more of him. I was a little disappointed there and that they should of went more in depth of his character. It just left a lot of people thinking he was the bad guy and he wasn't. He had just been through a lot since he was a kid and was struggling on figuring himself out. It was obvious how much he loved Cherry which is why he didn't want to bring her down with him. I also love the chemistry between Zhang Ling He and Zhao Jin Mai, and they could of done more with it but this is a youth drama and you just kind of expect that. Still all that being said still loved Zhang Ling He in this so much.

Lin Ying Tao (Cherry)
I loved her character just everything about her. This girl proved to be so strong even in the worst moments for her even when she was a child. She remains true to her bond and feelings for Jiang Qiao Xi and she never wavers even when friends tell her to move on. She really was his little hero and it was so cute. Zhao Jin Mai I am becoming a fan of hers with the more dramas I watch of hers (two of them being with Zhang Ling He). This drama also mainly just focuses on her so I am glad I like her acting. I even really loved the little girl who played her, but if you like her or Zhang Ling He it really gets you through this drama. I just wanted to see more of their interactions.

The Story
I will say the story as a whole does leave something lacking. Which is why I didn't rate this higher. They really could of done more with Jiang Qiao Xi so you could understand him more but they didn't. It also felt like they focused on things that really were not important to the story of Cherry and Jiang Qiao Xi. I also don't understand the hate for Yu Qiao. I really liked the actor who played him and thought he was such a good friend for Cherry to have. Even though he had feelings for Cherry he understood where she stood with her feelings for Jiang Qiao Xi and he wasn't selfish. So I also didn't mind that they did focus a lot on him. I just feel like they could of done more with it. There was just something really missing when I got to the end of it. I just really wanted something more, but for Zhang Ling He and Zhao Jin Mai I think it is worth the watch I don't think they disappoint at all.

Most Loved Couple of 2025!!!

There is literally no words to describe how much I loved this drama. Really loved the main couple so much. From the romance moments, to the comedy, and to the very touching moments this drama has. For me I felt like it keeps you hooked from the very first episode.

The Story:
This starts out with a tournament of the leads competing from different realms. The female lead who has been raised up as a boy has won this tournament for seven consecutive years when the male lead comes out of nowhere and defeats her. She also finds out that through the battle she was poisoned and her spiritual veins were destroyed. Back as a girl she decides to get close to the male lead to see if he has the antidote for this poison and a whole lot of funny moments happens from them getting close. The moments of these two together are just some of the best. This drama was so well done.

Hou Ming Hao and Lu Yu Xiao:
The main leads chemistry was just off the charts for this drama. I just wanted to keep watching more scenes with just these two. They are going to be one of my fave couples definitely. I loved everything about these two and how they played their characters. There is really nothing else to say about these two they were just incredible just watch them and see if you would feel the same way.

Quan Yi Lun and He Nan:
The second couple I just think needs a mention. I really enjoyed them together to from the first time you see a scene of these two. I do kinda wished there would of been more for their romance cause I actually loved these two I know it is a bit annoying when they try to do try to focus on the second couple, but I would of liked more for these two. They were cute together.

Yu Cheng En: (maybe a spoiler?)
Have to have a bit of a rant for his character Situ Ling. Of course they had to do the obsessive second male lead like always. I am really sick of this kind of character. Especially when it comes out of the smallest gesture from the female lead. Granted he did some things for the female lead that was so sweet, but he didn't have to be of the obsessive type where even the female lead is asking him "Why the obsession." I loved the actor who played Situ Ling and he played the part so well I just really hate what they do with his character and wish they would stop this. At least they didn't try to redeem him.

If you are a romance lover this is definitely a must watch for you. The romance is really just the best!!!

A must watch for Cheng Lei!!!

This drama was a pleasant surprise. I wanted to watch this for Cheng Lei, but was so surprised at how hooked I was from the first episode. I found the story to this drama just so interesting and different from a lot of the dramas I have watched, and I really loved the romance through this whole thing. If your a romance lover I don't see how you couldn't enjoy this love story.

Cheng Lei and Song Yi
These two just really shine through this whole drama, and I really enjoyed their chemistry. I just wanted to watch more of these two. There is a lot of romance between these two it is not lacking at all. Cheng Lei showing three different sides to one character was so good to watch. I loved the costume for the man in black it was incredible and Cheng Lei rocked it. He also plays a bit of a comedy role but I thought he played it kind of cute in a way. Plenty of kiss scenes for those that really enjoy them in a show.

Darren Chen and Shi Ce
These two were really cute and they made me laugh quite a bit. I do wish they would of done a little bit more with their love story together. It was like you could tell they liked each other but they didn't want to focus on the romance between them just how they were important to the story. Darren has been playing characters that I just really love watching him as. He is so silly and always makes me laugh. I wasn't so sure about Shi Ce's character at first but she really grew on me and she is such an amazing friend for the female lead to have.

The Story
It was so different to watch. It is about the ML's character becoming a shadow puppet and his blood master accidentally becomes the FL. He wakes up with no memory of who he was and how he got these strange powers or his connection to the FL. Through this bond that they don't understand they start to fall in love with each other. I found the whole story so interesting and so well done. I didn't find no episode boring and the fight scenes were amazing. That is literally all I can keep saying for this drama is nothing but praise. I really enjoyed and it was such a surprise. So give it a try and see if it is also a drama that you may love.

Actually surprised to finish this without speeding through the episodes

First things first I have to say that I love Alen and he does great with the characters he is given but I do feel like he was not used to his full potential in this drama. Most of the time he wasn't even in the scenes it was like he wasn't even the male lead. A few times I also didn't even enjoy the love story between him and the female lead not because there was no chemistry their chemistry was great but their love story just wasn't that interesting and felt like you could just skip a lot of it and still know where they stand. It also felt like there was a lot of things left out for his story that they could of went more into.

Maybe its an unpopular opinion but I was glad the 2ML was a good actor he was fun to watch. I feel like everyone forgot this man is a bandit he is not some prince charming coming to the rescue of these girls. He has raised himself to be one of the most notorious bandits in the desert. Everyone wants to say he is all bad like people can't change but he didn't have to lend a hand or help anyone and he did. He saves Alen's character out of a situation when he could of just let him be killed and that would of just been the end of it. I also think when he did start remembering his past and what happened he started to change from the person he was used to being. You can tell he wasn't as harsh with the 2FL and he starting worrying about what could actually happen to her with her always being around him, cause now he was out for revenge. The 2FL I had my moments where I couldn't stand her but I also liked her. Some of her moments with the 2ML were actually cute. I also liked the 2ML with the FL you could tell there was chemistry between them. The FL could also tell this bandit was not all bad or she wouldn't of been around him or joined up with him for revenge if he was. The quote that sticks with me from this drama is what the FL said to the 2ML.

"All these years you've been drifting in the desert. Your men have witnessed how hard it was. You care for them and you care for people. You just don't care for yourself. There are many kinds of love. But yours is the purest."

This script was definitely left with a lot of plot holes and not to much explanation of anything. Your kinda left to fill in the blanks yourself cause they couldn't be bothered. I was interested in the beginning but started losing that interest in the middle I actually paused this to finish two other dramas before coming back and finally finishing this. It did pick up again toward the end thankfully. I did like how they killed off the lord of Yunpei even if they did drag it out a bit. Having the two girls get their revenge on him was great.

Yang Yang and Fights scenes.....Best things about this drama

I started watching this for Yang Yang and didn't know what to expect never reading the novel or seeing the animated version of it. I also think you need to enjoy Yang Yang's acting to even get through this drama cause it is mainly focused on him and nothing else. Also don't expect romance in this if you are a romance lover. He does have a few girls that he gets entangled with my there really isn't romance between them.

For the most part I really enjoyed this drama. I liked watching Han Li's journey with Yang Yang's acting I really think he got to act like a kid for the most part. This drama mainly focused on Han Li's journey and his cultivation to immortality so you would have to be in to that type of drama to get in to this. Even I get lost on some of the cultivation they talked about in this cause they really do go so in depth with it. Also really enjoyed the fight scenes in this another big thing that kept me so invested in the drama. Though I do have to say I was let down my the last two episodes. I just think they were a bit of a let down after everything they were building up to.

I really didn't care for the main girl Nangong Wan, and its mostly just because she felt like she was barely in it at all and the relationship between her and Han Li felt forced that I didn't care if they showed her again. One of the let downs for the last two episodes in this for me cause they did try to throw her back into the mix and I didn't care to even see her at that point. I don't know if they meant it to but I really liked Mo Cai Huan. She was in it more and you could tell in a way Han Li really did care about her. Also felt she had more chemistry with Yang Yang. Also really liked the guys that played Wang Chan and Li Hua Yuan they played their parts really well and I enjoyed watching them while they were on screen.

Revenge Story Done Sooo Right!!!

This actually surprised me from the trailer I didn't think it looked that good to watch but I was pleasantly surprised. The trailer didn't make me want to watch it but decided to watch it based on some good reviews that were left.

This Drama is mainly about Chen Du Ling's character Zhuang Han Yan and her being abandoned by her parents to be left with friends of theirs. These friends mistreated her till she was 17 and she makes her way back home to find the family she never had. She just wants a home but she comes home to a viper's nest where she really doesn't know what is real and what is fake but she does find out. There are so many twists and turns through this that I found myself just wanting to know what will happen to everyone next.

The first person I really have to point out is Wen Zheng Rong who played Ruan Xi Wen the mother of Chen Du Ling's character. This woman acted her butt off I have to say. I was blown away by her performance and the mother and daughter relationship between the two. She really deserves all the praise for the way she played this character.

This was also a really good role for Chen Du Ling I really enjoyed watching her play Zhuang Han Yan. Its also I different role for her to play and I really thought it suited her. I also wouldn't say this is a romance story between her and the ML there is very little to no romance but even though I am a huge romance lover I still didn't think that took away from this drama at all. Plus the way the had her and the ML lying and deceiving each other it actually makes sense that their love story wouldn't be a big thing in this drama. I still really liked what they did for their story. This is really a revenge story that has so many things happen. The villain is actually one of the best I have seen in a while and they were so smart with the way they did everything.

I also didn't think that the ML Xin Yun Lai was that bad. I think he played his character the way it was meant to be played. Plus the the little girl that played his daughter was also so very cute. This one at least deserves a watch before you decide if you like it or hate may surprise you, but if you are only watching dramas for the romance maybe don't watch this one.
