Love Liu Xue Yi more now!!

I don't think its spoilers just what some would like to know of this drama. Read at risk of maybe spoilers.

I will not say this drama is perfect cause it is not, and it did not do the red flag male lead that a lot of people were expecting to get. Maybe I'm a typical romance lover and the two leads did deliver on that. Seen people saying they changed the novel never read the novel but may give it a go after watching this. My main draw for this drama I won't lie is Liu Xue Yi I think he is worth watching if nothing else. Also love the FL to she did an incredible job even when they try to put her with prince Yue Qin for a bit, and she never falls in love with him. It does have a sad ending which is usually a nope for some so to answer that for them, but it does show a clip for a what if moment which I thought was kinda cute.

I really enjoyed this drama and I think the actors deserve more credit for what they did with the script they were given. The actors are the reason why I think this is any good at all and worth the watch. I also really think the fight scenes are amazing to watch really loved them. Also have to mention Liu Xue Yi's crying scenes they were really amazing and will make you want to cry with him.

Want to include at least one thing I really didn't like about the drama and that was the love story between the crown prince and the general. The general Luo Mei they made change to quickly and out of no where. She was in love with the ML since childhood and and crown prince was in love with her. She falls in love with a man that lied to her and deceived her not saying that he didn't really love her he did I just didn't see any truth of her falling in love with him and telling him that if he would of told her sooner it would of made a difference cause it wouldn't of. They also have her choose him over her loyalty to the emperor for awhile which didn't make any sense that is not the kind of person she is portrayed to be. Granted they did have her make the right decision in the end. I do like the girl who played the general I just didn't like that love story.

Got through this mainly for Bai Lu...

The main draw for this drama to watch it was for Bai Lu I do really like her shows, and upon seeing the trailer I thought it looked really good to watch. The whole thing being around a Feud for a couple was interesting and I do tend to like dramas like that, but unfortunately I felt this one fell a bit flat. It really is extremely frustrating to watch wondering exactly what their Feud is really about and they don't let you know for some time. So buckle up and just wait for it cause it doesn't come out easily.

Bai Lu's performance once again was not a let down for this drama. I do really like to watch her and she helped with getting through this drama. I really like Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng when they were feuding through this but I really didn't feel chemistry between them. Maybe its because I also felt that they did not actually focus or do a very good job at portraying their love story. So I won't put it all down to bad chemistry but they focused so hard on their feud that when it came time for their love story I just didn't believe that these two people loved each other at all, and I won't put that on Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng they did their best with this script that they were given. I wish they would have focused more on their love story then some of their silly side characters that they just had to keep throwing into everything. I was tired of seeing half of them.
I really haven't seen Joseph Zeng in much but I don't think he really did a bad job at portraying his character either there was just something really missing in this story.

Spoilers will start from here:

My actual favorite scenes in this drama were ones with the guy who played Meng Chang Qin who was also in the drama (Hard to Find). He just had really funny moments and his bond with Bai Lu's character was so good. Him being there for her when she had her son and until she lost him. Then Bai Lu's character also loses him around the same time. All of these scenes were really heartbreaking. You felt for her character losing her son and this man that stayed beside her through it all. I'm sorry but I felt more for her losing this man then the ML just because I really didn't believe their love story at all. I just think this actor for his guest appearance deserves a little bit of credit. He was definitely a highlight for me.

I actually liked the guy who also played the villain. You won't know that there is a villain for awhile they keep that pretty well hidden and just kind of seemed they wanted someone else to be behind the main characters Feud. To sweep it all under the rug that they had this feud going on between them and it was all this guys fault. Even though I think he was another highlight to watch from a lot of the other side characters that they make you get to know and watch what is going on with them. Why they thought this was more important the couples love story I just don't know. I would of liked to watch more of Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng actually being a couple then two people that just really seemed to hate each other.

Toward the last few episodes actually did a bit of fast forwarding just wanting it to end. They just did way to much on focusing on things I really didn't think matter to the story of these two, and also the monologues were just getting way out of hand before they would actually even continue a scene. A scene would go on way too long with them just talking your in the middle of a battle and having just this absurd conversation in the middle. With a better script and all these good actors that they had this really could of been an amazing drama, but in the end I just feel like it fell flat for me. That is my opinion I know there is a lot of love for this drama but for me unfortunately that was just not the case.

Fantastic Acting Story is Predictable

I would only say watch this just for the actors cause they did incredible with the story they were given but don't watch this if you don't want to watch a very toxic, abusive and obsessive male lead.

Yan Zi Xian- This actor was incredible to watch even if he did play a horrible male lead. His intense stares that he did throughout this drama were crazy and I just think he deserves some love after playing this character. It is obvious he is horrible and you will not root for the best for him at all.

He Xuan Lin- She was also amazing in this and loved the way they dressed her in this the costumes were beautiful but I also have to say though I really didn't like the decisions they had her make in this. That is nothing to do with the actress that is her character. Would of definitely loved a different ending for her for sure.

There is so much you really can say on this drama. It is definitely one of those what the heck did I just watch moments.

Chemistry just sparks off the screen with each episode!!

I have to say first that I am one that doesn't really like the babyish voice that Esther Yu usually does in dramas, but it did not bother me at all in this drama. I thought it really worked for the dynamic between her and the ML and even thought it was cute how he would cave to her. I just can't get over their chemistry in this it just feels like it ended way too soon. I needed to see more of them. The fight scenes and street racing were also so well done.

The Story:
What can I say it had me completely hooked. I couldn't get enough of the FL and ML together. Also loved the fight scenes and street racing through this.

Its about the FL and ML growing up as siblings but there is no blood relation between them. Her dad takes him in when he loses his parents whose dad was a good friend of her dad. Her mom and dad end up divorcing and he goes with her dad and they don't see each other for years. When she is old enough she goes to her dad looking for him. Finding out that he is involved with street racing and undergrounds fights.

Watching the ML you can tell he does fight his feelings for her and doesn't give in to them easily not wanting to cross that line of not being a brother figure for her anymore. I completely fell in love with the way He Yu would look at her through this whole drama. He had his stares down. I also want to say I loved the character San Lai and the guy that played him. He made me crack up so much.

Absolutely loved this drama and it will definitely be a top fave for me.

Spoilers will start here:
I have seen reviews talking about noble idiocy toward the end of this, and I mean what was he expected to do. Tell her no don't go to her mom that also needed her at that time, and to stay with him and take care of him. Then he would of just been called selfish. The FL was just a 20 year old girl that had such big dreams and he wanted to see them come true. He didn't want to see her give that all up for him. Did he know she would of course he did that wasn't the point. Even if it broke his own heart he let her go to pursue her dreams and be there for her mom. Granted he had a lot of pride and didn't want her to see him in that state, but there are a lot of people when they are told they probably won't be able to walk again that go through that. They are barely handling it themselves let alone dragging someone else along with them. So even though those scenes were heartbreaking I get why he did it.

Loved this drama for Zhang Ling He

Wanted to start doing more reviews even though it makes me nervous. So decided to start with this one with a lot of reviews that differ from mine. I'm not great at this but here goes.

I really loved this drama and it definitely will be one of my top ones for Zhang Ling He. His character Pei Wenxuan is so great and loved his lines in this so much. I thought they also did fine with showing how smart his character is even though yes I know they could of did more but Li Rong didn't do everything alone. I really loved the bickering between Pei Wenxuan and Li Rong I found it funny and cute really like an old married couple and I understand some people would find it annoying and childish, but they did learn to communicate better with each other where they could actually talk everything out instead of dragging the misunderstandings out. There were just so many great scenes between these two the confession in the rain, the way Li Rong comes to his rescue against his family, and these are just to name a couple.

Su Rongqing's character I really didn't have a problem with and I thought the guy who played him did a pretty good job, and I didn't think he had more screen time then Pei Weixuan. The one thing that I did find annoying was the last episode where they really dragged out his scene that I just really found it unnecessary. Maybe I am the only one but in that episode it felt like they really tried to force the chemistry but it felt really off to me.

One thing I will say is to just always watch a drama for yourself cause you never know if you will love it or not unless you do.

Has flaws but still an enjoyable watch

There was a lot of things they could of done differently for this drama and it would of been perfect but I still didn't find it that bad to watch even with the flaws.

I really enjoyed watching Ryan Cheng and Zhou Ye in this and loved their chemistry together. The fights scenes were also really good to watch with the ones that they did put in. They really could of done more fight scenes that is probably one of the biggest flaws in this drama. It is supposed to be about a legendary female general and they didn't really show that. Its really a let down cause the fight scenes were so good that they did show. I still think the ML and FL are still worth watching in this and I didn't think the story was that bad it kept me watching till the end. It is a slow burn romance the leads don't get together right away but the scenes they have together are so good, and when they do get together they really have beautiful scenes together that I really enjoyed. I think watching the 2 leads is what really did it for me with this drama. I also really liked watching Bai Shu play the villain role and wished they would of done more with his character.

I think the one thing that really annoyed me was in the last three episodes and it may be spoilers but it is so predictable and I hate seeing it done is they make the 2ML dumb. It is the same old jealousy cliche they do in a lot of dramas. The 2ML was so smart through most of the drama and then they have him make a stupid decision based out of jealousy for the FL. It drove me crazy and I hated to watch it I would of rather they kept him smart and got over the FL it would of actually been refreshing for a change. It has flaws but if you can get through them and enjoy the leads I don't think its a bad watch.

Liu Yu Ning does it again!

This drama has its great moments and has some draggy moments. I think as a whole I can say I really did like this drama there was just some moments that frustrated and annoyed me, but there are not many. The biggest thing that really annoyed me was the FL I think this drama really drags out her non trust of the ML way too long that it does kind of takes away from the romance a bit.

Watch this for:
Liu Yu Ning
So watch this if you are a fan of his he does not disappoint and he is so great to watch in this. Especially his character Li sixteen love the costumes for this character. His character Nan Heng also goes through so much that you really just feel for him and that no one ever listens to him or even trusts him. Liu Yu Ning plays these characters amazingly and I really enjoy watching him.

Riley Wang
I think his character Shangguan He steals the show sometime and that may just be my opinion, but he was just a great character and his love story with Song Yi Ting was so cute that I think I enjoyed it more then the main love story. Shangguan He was also so loyal that he was ready to die for the ML then to let him get in trouble for him. I think his character deserves to be mentioned and should be watched for.

Zhu Xu Dan
Her character Song Yi Ting also deserves to be watched she is such a strong and talented character, and I didn't think when I started watching this that she was going to be such a great character. I enjoyed watching her more then the FL at times cause they do make the FL so stupid that this girl outshines her in every way. Her love story with Shangguan He is also so cute and worth watching.

Chang Long
When I first started watching this I thought I was going to really hate Nan Rui because he just comes off as such a dumb character was he funny yes this guy is always funny so he should be watched for that. Nan Rui turns out to be so much more he is not just foolish he is a completely lovable character and is not as stupid as everyone thinks. Also really liked him and his guard's relationship. You will think that his guard is really annoyed and bothered by him but actually thinks more of him then you think.

The Story:
I do actually really like the story of this drama it has so many great moments that will just pull you in and you will be glued to the screen, but it also has its moments of draggy and frustrating scenes that will have you thinking why am I still watching it. If you can make it through most of those I think you will find that it is worth watching.

Surprising little watch

I started watching this from a clip I had seen on youtube for it and can't believe how sucked into it I was. The ML was definitely someone to watch in this show. His action scenes and intimate scenes were so good. The FL wasn't bad but wasn't what kept me into this show she was great in her scenes with the ML they have chemistry. Plus the decisions they had her make sometimes were not the greatest but I wouldn't say they were completely dumb either. The episodes I felt went so fast that I was getting through it before I know it and I really just wanted to know what happened.

One character I have to mention is Ling Yuan. He is also a really interesting character even though a lot of it is really creepy but the actor plays it so well. You think he is the master mind behind everything but really he is really a sad person about what has all happened, and he has been used by his dad. Didn't feel bad for his dad either he drove his son into what ends up happening. I know Ling Yuan did make some bad decisions and he isn't completely innocent but he is also not the most terrible villain either.

I say it was at least worth the watch for a short little drama.

Cute little short drama

I really liked this little drama and so far down my Li Fei (Richard) journey of dramas I have to say this is one of my favorites. Li Fei shines in the dramas I have watched of him so far, but this one was done very well for a short drama. It wasn't confusing or felt like there was huge gaps left for you to figure out for yourself. It was a cute simple straight forward watch.

This is about the fl being given poison for being married to a prince that commits treason, and her finding out how to get herself not to be involved in it. She wants to live and the third try she wakes up where she has just been engaged to the prince. So she figures if she never marries him that she will be safe. Since is is a short drama you don't have to wait forever for the third life. The two leads I found really cute together and wanted to know more about their story. It really goes quickly I didn't find any scenes boring or think they didn't have to include that. Also found the guy that played the male leads brother kinda funny. He didn't want his little brother getting to be emperor but he also didn't want to see his little brother die. Not to often you see that between royal brothers.

On the same level as the first one so far.....

I really think this has the same feel as season 1. I enjoyed watching this season even though in the first 2 episodes it does move a little slow. You are following the guy who won in the first season to try to take the people of these games out. You know he is planning on doing this at the end of season 1. Was afraid they were going to use the same games though when I saw them do red light green light, but they did switch the games up which made them more enjoyable then watching them play the same games all over again.

Gi Hun was still enjoyable to watch and he still does keep his same nature as in the first one granted I do wish he would be a little wiser to the game. The fact that it is so obvious again that he is being played by the leader of the games. He has already had this done to him before of them getting close to him while playing the game. I really did like the acting of the man who is playing number 001 it made me want to know what he was going to do next, and can't wait for Gi Hun to find that part out just wondering how long that will take him.

I have always been a fan of big bangs music so have to mention T.O.P. I think he did fine with the character he was given. He plays just plain crazy and evil but he did make me laugh at times with his antics. You don't wish well for his character at all and I know some people even found him annoying which is so understandable.
I think there was a lot of great characters in this and the actors have done well portraying them.
So while I did enjoy watching this and can't wait for the next part to come. I still just think this season and 1 are on the same level don't think one is better then the other so I have rated them the same.

Took a 2nd try but was worth it

My first attempt at watching this I stopped around episode 7 or 8, but kept coming back and seeing a lot of good reviews for it so decided to give it another try. In the beginning till like episode 10 there is a lot of information dumping on you and a lot of new characters to get to know. Once you get through all of that it is really worth the watch. All the actors are great in their roles and I liked most of them and loved the fights scenes this. I think I only had one little complaint through this and that was who the two main boys were paired with. I just felt there wasn't any chemistry between them and this show is not a romance show at all you will see nothing come of it, but they do have girls they like and that like them. I felt like they should of switched the girls might of been more there. Anyways don't watch this looking for romance its not there, but its still a good drama to watch about friendship. Just depends what you are into.

Worth the Watch

This was worth the watch for just the three main actors alone. They were just so amazing to watch they should be able to keep your focus if nothing else does. If your also a fan of Ryan Ren his character is all the way through this to I thought he did his character very well but I did start finding him rather annoying toward the end the start to focus on him quite a bit. Mi Lan and Wei Lian have become to of my favorite characters after watching this I just really loved them. Ouyang Nana did an incredible job playing a blind girl and I didn't mind that they kept her little girlish since they didn't focus on the romance but instead just a family relationship between her and the ML. Love Wei Lian and also wish they would of done a little more with his character cause when he did show his vampire side he was amazing.

The one place where this drama lacks is the backstory for the stones they didn't go into explaining hardly anything about them so when you get to the end it does leave you wondering well how does that work. The last episode you can tell was definitely rushed and they should of done more with it so it doesn't leave so many people confused but with that I still thought this drama was a really great watch. The actors deserve love for this even if the story is a little lacking.

This is a really good youth drama just not a drama for romance but after you find out the FL actress real age you will understand why. I like the way they did this more though it wasn't just about two kids knowing each other in childhood and getting together in their teens. It was more about their friendship and making new friends and the struggles in their lives.

I really liked the girl who played the FL I thought she was adorable and she has the prettiest big eyes. I just kept looking at her eyes through this, but the main reason for me watching this was for Zhang Ling He. He plays a character with a disability and he pulled me into his story through this whole drama. His story was just heartbreaking and I cried finding out a lot of it. His parents were horrible even thought his dad does straighten up towards the end of it granted his son is already consider in adult by then. I liked most of the characters in this for me I didn't really find anyone annoying. The only thing I wished they would of did more with was the second couple but they made the second male lead chase the female lead way to long and then decided not to even have him admit when he falls for someone else at the end. I liked him with that girl a lot better.

This is definitely a drama to start watching and see if you get into the characters and their stories to determine if you will like this drama or not cause at first glance I didn't think I would get into this. Two other things that I really enjoyed in this was the dance performance they do and the cosplay competition.

This drama surprised me!!

Another Zhang Ling He drama down and one thing I will say at the start of this review is I did think it could of been a little shorter but that is only because I didn't get into the character for the FL I found her to be a bit annoying through this, But did like the guy that played Lu Xiao and liked the second couple story more.

Even saying that i still found this drama so enjoyable to watch it had a lot of twists that some people might or might not see I know I didn't predict a lot of them. The beginning is kinda slow getting into it and I found it pretty hard just because I did find the main girl pretty annoying I don't know why they had to have her be that way. I do like the actress that plays the part I do know she can play good characters I just couldn't take her seriously here. I did like the main guy who is coupled with her he does have an interesting story and finding out more about him and why he is the way he is. Even though a lot of people may not like the way he comes off but I found him understandable and he just wanted to be left alone.

What really got me through this in the beginning was the second couple. Guan Qian Ya from the min she came on the show I loved her. She became my fave character in this and of course I really liked Zhang Ling He's character Xu Nian who she was coupled with. I just felt like they had the better love story here. You don't see Qian Ya falling for a love boys virtual character since she is so against the game, and finding out that she is actually talking to the real Xu Nian in the game. I'm glad they kept her smart enough to figure that out instead of dumbing her down which they do a lot. Qian Ya does have a dumb moment toward the end that I will rant about. This couple for me just had the most enjoyable scenes together. I also didn't mind their scenes apart though either just really enjoyed their characters.

A flaw that I did find so annoying and is a spoiler is what went on toward the end that happened with Xu Nian. This group of people that knew each other except for one couldn't tell that Xu Nian was not acting like himself at all. They are looking for a spy and who is giving away their locations when they literally know they had to go looking for Xu Nian for a min. They were separated from him and they find him and he is acting like a different person. They even have them point it out for a min then be like oh maybe we are wrong and its Luo Ke. I couldn't even stand Luo Ke's character in this at all and wish they wouldn't of focused on him so much cause he literally just made me mad every time they showed him, but I felt so bad for him when they turned on him when it was obvious who it was. Luo Ke was never really even away from anyone either but he made the most sense to turn on for being the spy. I just found this so frustrating but loved the way Zhang Ling He pulled it off.

The actors did great even if I didn't like some of the characters. I think toward the ending is still the best part of this drama if you can just make it through the slow beginning. Just making it through and finding out everything you do makes this worth the watch for me.

The use of Pikachu was really cute

I loved how this started it was funny and cute and definitely not a show to be taken seriously but the story really did start going down hill toward the ending of it. Started to be a little draggy but wanted to finish it. I wanted to start watching Zhang Ling He's earlier dramas and I really did like him in this.

This started out really good I got through the first few episodes easily and they went quick cause I liked the cute interactions between the two leads. I actually really loved that they had him calling her Pikachu I know not a big thing in the show I just really found it so cute. I also didn't mind the side stories of the friends cause a lot of them were really good. The girl that plays Mei Wei Wei I found so cute I just wish they wouldn't of styled her hair the way they did but even doing that you can still tell that girl is pretty. I didn't care for the way they had her character do Mai Si Chong in the last episode even if they wanted to cause some problems between them but it was the last episode it didn't last long and it was unnecessary. The Proposal at the very end was so cute and probably one of the best scenes in this.

The sml Peng Pai I really didn't like his character at all through this he just always seemed like he was up to no good. He didn't have chemistry with the fl and it seemed like he felt like he owned her. The way he came off was like he knew her first so he had every right to her and he was the only frustrating character.
