Hello, my name is Wal. Welcome to my page  🩷

"Dark clouds are temporary, since there will always be wind." - Meet Yourself

ABOUT ME
  • I live in Brazil.
  • I'm an introvert, but I found this platform as a way to interact about the dramas I follow.
  • I've been watching dramas since 2022.
  • I'm in love with both Chinese and Korean dramas, but if I had to choose, I would prefer Chinese dramas.
  • My first K-drama was The Legend of Blue Sea (2016) and my first C-drama was Please, Classmate (2021).
  • My favorite genre is romance, especially when it brings a touch of reality and authenticity.
  • I rarely drop dramas. I'm someone who appreciates a variety of storytelling styles.
  • I don't have a specific list of favorite actors , as I enjoy most of their performances. Each actor brings something unique to their characters, and I enjoy seeing how they commit to their roles, whether they're leading or supporting
  • My favorite drama of all time is Hidden Love (2023), hands down.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

I have a rule: I only rate a drama if I've watched it in its entirety. Obviously, I'm not an expert critic, but I tend to use a six-criteria evaluation process. They are:

  • Chemistry between the main couple - 2,0 pts. 🫶
  • Development of secondary characters - 2,0 pts. 👥
  • Plot - 2,0 pts. 📝
  • Soundtrack (OST) - 1,0 pts. 🎵
  • Cinematography - 1,0 pts. 🎥
  • Emotional perception and connection to drama - 2,0 pts. ❤️
10
Perfection, a masterpiece. It is a drama that scored full marks on all the above criteria and evoked strong emotions in me. I would definitely watch it again. This doesn’t mean that there are no technical flaws, but the overall construction of all aspects of the drama is simply captivating to me.
9,5-9
Excellent. It has great development of events, consistent with the initial proposal. Generally, it doesn't get full marks due to my emotional connection and perception.
8,5-8
Good and with promising ideas, but there are some aspects that could be improved or that don't reach the level of excellence of other series with higher audience ratings.
7,5-7
Ok. I didn't like it, but I didn't dislike it either. They usually have an uneven pace, with a plot that develops inconsistently, which leads to my lack of emotional connection with the story.
< 6,5
Disappointing in many ways, and sometimes I wonder why I watched it all the way through. These are the dramas that had great potential and interesting concepts, but somewhere along the way, they failed to properly drive the plot forward.
DROPPED
Honestly, I haven’t dropped many dramas so far, as I usually watch them until the end. However, sometimes it happens, and there’s no explanation for it (haha). It could be that I didn’t like the theme, or I just naturally stopped watching, even though I liked the initial concept. I don’t review dramas that I dropped, as I don’t think it's appropriate to review something that I haven’t watched all the way through.

Note 1: The ratings are based on my opinion and are not intended to offend or hurt anyone with the scores given to the dramas in question.

ASPECTS THAT I LIKE IN DRAMASXASPECTS THAT I DON'T LIKE IN DRAMAS

Well-structured script
Performance without nuance
Well-developed characters
One-dimensional characters
Good chemistry between the protagonists
Poorly crafted plot
"Green flag" behavior of the characters

Toxic or abusive relationships
Interaction between secondary characters in a way that complements the main protagonists' story

Excessive dramatization. I'm not a fan of dramas that have exaggerated or disproportionate conflicts
Settings that add beauty to the narrative

Lack of chemistry between the protagonists
Memorable soundtrack

Excessive use of flashbacks
Approach to relevant themes with a realistic perspective, presenting emotions and challenges authentically

Excessive use of episodes or scenes that don’t contribute to the narrative. They’re just there to fill time.
Happy endings that align with the initial premise

Endings that don't do justice to the narrative
