I’m an avid C-drama lover, with a little K-drama and J-drama sprinkled in here and there.
I like going into dramas with as little spoilers as possible no deep reviews, no heavy analysis, just vibes, cast and crew I trust, or strong ratings.
My PTW list is huge because I follow actors, directors, and genres I enjoy, and I often check people whose ratings align with mine.
I rarely judge dramas harshly, and I don’t blame actors or production teams — everyone works hard to create a story. If something isn’t working for me, I simply drop it and move on. No drama is worth stress.
I never rate a show low just because the leads don’t end up together, someone dies, or the ending is open. If I enjoyed the journey, I’ll rate it based on that. Life isn’t perfect, so a drama doesn’t have to be either — as long as the story, acting, and execution are good, I’m satisfied.
Watching dramas should be fun, not stressful. 💛 Enjoy the story and move on to the next one!
My firsts:
- Chinese drama: Time to Fall in Love
- Korean drama: The Heirs
- Japanes drama: An Incurable Case of Love
- Taiwanese dramas: Someday or One day
I almost never pick up dramas rated below 7.5-8 on MDL unless the cast is too irresistible.
I also hate dropping dramas; I would literally rather painfully finish it than leave it hanging.
So yes… my MDL is full of 9s and 9.5s, but trust me: you can safely try anything I rate 8 and above.
I’m slowly updating my old private reviews and adding new ones, so the order of my reviews doesn’t reflect when I actually watched these dramas.
I don’t rate different formats the same way. A 10 for a vertical / short-form drama is not the same as a 10 for a long-form or horizontal drama. Each format is judged by its own expectations, pacing, and purpose — so please keep that in mind when browsing my ratings.
