this drama messes with your feelings

if you want a hopeless romantic story HERE IT IS. the story was intertwined from the beginning and honestly I didn't expect it until they were revealed. I loved the story, it was so different with the way things were executed. a rich girl about to get married but her dad dies on that day and she goes bankrupt so they don't want to marry her anymore and she gets left to live on the streets (sorta), but then she goes to find this online supporter in Eunpo and the magic starts there, or so we thought. everything after that was beautiful until the end.

these plot twists came outta nowhere and my feelings were messed with LIKE WTFETFETF. I swear I cried for a whole episode straight and then they hit me with another plot twist for WHATEVER REASON.... anyways I'll still give it a pretty high score if we just forget about the emotional trauma the writers decided to put us through.

id rewatch to get all the hopeless romantic feels again because HOW ADORABLE IS THE ML. when his whole story with her just slowly unravels MY HEART JUST FELL IN LOVE.

this drama has the friendship, the relationship, the drama, the plot twists, the humor, side characters, and love triangle. rewatch value: high, recommendation value: only if u want like a lighthearted drama thats different and cute but then id give warning about the end (I seriously thought it was gunna be a sad ending...)

OH SIDE NOTE: when Jae Wook first came onto the screen, THAT CURLY MESSY HAIR LOOKS WAS SO GOOD, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't style that more often on him in the drama

Even if... loved it till the end

Just loved it as a whole. Lee Jae Wook is one of my favourite actors, I didn't really like the idea of Goo Ah Ra, because I hardly ever finish dramas with her in it, but I was plesantly surprised. As for the rest of the cast and all of their acting I really liked it, they really were giving their best.
The plot was great and all, for me a little to many things that were unnecessary, and the ending was just weird. But overall I liked the mood the drama had, that's why I think it's worth re-watching and gave it a whooping 9.5 stars.

This drama had everything to do well and the writers simply decided to go crazy with it

First of all, the beggining. It was all so lovely, we could really sympathize with Rara and everything that was going on with her life, she was abandoned by her fiance, her father died, she went bankrupt and ended up without a place to live. Till there its dramatic, i know, but they're all stuff that can happen, and for a kdrama the dramatic lart was very good. Then Jun helps her, she makes friends, she's able to open a businesses of her own, honestly I thought the biggest plot of this drama was going to be that stalker thing. Then we find out about Jun's story, I could hardly swallow that because he was still a minor, but Rara kept her distance and he they managed everything till he became off age. OKAY. THEN the boy got cancer. Seriously I think the wristers just had a lot of ideas and couldn't decide which ones to use, they just kept putting the characters through trauma after trauma. I would still get it if Jun actually died, I got really sad and the whole thing like the letter and his mom going to see Rara, I was sad but I could understand that, but he pretended to be dead for FIVE YEARS. Jun was a character that cared so much about other's feelings and then he lied to everyone for five years?? Doesn't sit well with me, they could have had a perfect ending together.
But there's still some stuff that I absolutely loved about this drama (before the story got a mess)
Jun and Rara's love and care for each other: they loved each other so much, you could see how much they cherished each other everytime they were together.
Doctor Cha: I thought the only use of his character was going to be to be used in a love triangle, but that was not it at all. He was living a sad life, got away from everything. He got a crush on Rara that's true, but the moment she said no he never once tried something, he moved on, he respect her. I'm also really glad he got back to his ex-wife. Its not always that people get divorce because they hate esch other, the drifted apart, but they worked they relationship from the beggining for five years after that, its nice to see a drama that shows that side of people's life as well.
Hayoung and Seunggi: they were absolutely adorable. I'm a sucker for friends-to-lovers and the way their relationship was build felt so natural to me. Seunggi always cherished Hayoung, he never hid that, he was always by her side as a friend, he never once let his feelings get in her way. And for Hayoung, once she realized the person she loved was always by her size she didnt change a lot, but it was noticeable how much she liked him. She could not show it a lot, but she loved him just as much. I also loved that they kept their bickering and playfull relationship even after they got married. They were cute af.
Overall, the drama could've (should've) ended a lot better. The cast was good, the acting was good, and the soundtrack and the episode titles always connected to the piano was realy adorable. It's a shame the writers got lost with the story in the last episodes, I wish this drama had a cheerful and wholesome ending :((

Cut out the last 5 min

Horrible ending, cut out the last 5 min and it's a great show, or make the last scene where she is playing the piano and he enter, a dream and they hug, and it ends with her waking up and smiling or something like that.......

Overall, minus the ending, it’s a great show, funny, wholesome, sad at times.

Would recommend even though the ending spoils it a bit

A Funny and Cute Drama that might help you realize your dreams and don't give up

if you are looking for a RomCom genre with a full of cuteness and positive vibes with a handsome leading man and cute leading woman, then you shouldn't miss this drama. Also, if you love listening to piano then it really a drama for you.

Acting/Casting - For me acting is very important while watching drama and this drama didn't fail to amaze me. all of the cast did they job very well. Go Ara really portray the character of Gu Rara who has a bright personality even though the situation is not good. She has full of aegyo here and she can really makes you laugh. (well it is easy for me to laugh) About Lee Jae Wook, he's not just handsome but really can act well. I fell in love with Sunwoo Jun /Lee Jae Wook that gave me Lee Jae Wook Syndrome for a month hihi. They have a good chemistry with Go Ara. I like Lee Jae Wook portray the emotions he has to show if its sad, happy, shy, inlove, manly etc. He really has a talent for being a good actor. I surely wait for his another new drama. You will never disappoint in other cast too, the ajummas are so funny and helpful with the main character. I love their team work.

Story plot: There's just some mystery at the same a time a hole in the whole story if you already seen too much drama you can easily tell what it is. In my opinion there is some unnecessary scene that shouldn't be in the drama but good job to the writer and to the director that it still the over all result is very good! I dont mind the the hole hehe. You will still enjoy the drama and you doesnt care about those holes. I just wish that they gave a better impact of do do sol lala sol hehe.

OST: Maybe some of the viewer will love the ost but the ost of this drama is not my preference. I only love 3 ost of this drama. But i do love the classical piano that played in the drama hehe.

It was great until it was ruined

Warning!!! An extremely personal review full of spoileres…

Tbh I watched this because of its unique story and was quite attracted by the unique plot. I have seen many dramas in which their are the cliched misunderstandings but never have I seen someone use ever cliche given in the book tbh I was fed up with it in the end

Let’s start again… Warning!!! if you are like me who hates misunderstanding sail your ship away from this drama because till the very last scene they suffer from misunderstandings and cliches.

The story was pointless it could’ve ended at 6th episode but they dragged it to 16th now that is a very long drag

Never have I watched the drama where the main leads bored me so much like after ep8 they were either sad or crying.

Tbh I watched the whole drama just to see the marriage of the 2nd couple and everyone’s happy ending except the main couple.

Acting was good… okay. The cast great…Song….fine should I say. But the story my gosh why drag a story like first he has a secret gf…then he has cancer…then he is dead…then he miraculously survives… oh there was a psychostalker too…really this one tested my patience

Just because of the final, I gave it 7/10.

Even though the general story was interesting, and the cast was incredible, I had to give 7/10 because of the final. From this point, there is spoiler.

... SPOILER...

When he broke up with her, even though I didn't approve it or agree with him, I could understand his logic. He was trying to protect her from getting hurt. However, I couldn't understand why he sent his mother to tell such a lie. He already told her that he went to abroad, just could've said that he couldn't go to her due to an issue related to university. Why did he try to hurt her with "his sudden death" if she was going to learn his illness? If I was Rara, I would never have forgave him because of that lie. I don't care if he was ill or suffering as well. He was suffering because of his illness, it was something real, but Rara was suffering for nothing. Not just Rara, but everybody in Eunpo was sad even after 5 years. They didn't deserve it.

cute until the ending

i was really excited about this drama, a fun romcom, finally staring lee jae wook (whom i absolutely adored in both www and extraordinary you), filled with classical music and an adorable go ah ra.

the drama started well, really cute and simple, a nice buildup, and good chemistry between the leads. also touching support characters that made the drama all the more enticing to watch. unfortunately, it all went down after episode 13.

the ending was very ambiguous, to say the least. if you want to watch it, please stop at episode 13, and this drama will finish on a beautiful note!!

Worth watching if One ignores 2 major flaws

I couldn't decide if I should give this drama a low rating or a high rating. In the end I chose high rating because I enjoyed watching this drama.
The other reviewers and commentators of this drama are absolutely correct in saying that the writer and the director really messed up a potentially an excellent/memorable drama. This drama, for me, had all the right ingredients: Love, Laugher and a naive FL who went through hardship of her life with a smile on her face.
The cadence of this drama was like any other drama but the presentation was very pleasing and was uplifting. Every night I would look forward to watching the next few episodes after a hard day at work.
In my opinion, if as a viewer, you can ignore two major flaws then this drama is absolutely beautiful with a poignant message: 1. The age of ML who is 19 but behaves like a mature 28 year old. 2. The last 10 minutes of the final episode.
Point #1 is not a big deal and as viewer one soon forgets the age difference. I could never buy that he was 19 because his emotional intelligence was very high. However, #2 is a big deal and messes up the whole drama.
Maybe the director or the producers were under pressure to give a happy ending which really made the whole ending ridiculous. It would have been better if everyone lived in the fond memory of JUN who made a huge difference in other people's lives by being caring, listening and loving person.

I am glad I watched this drama due to its light hearted approach to life played by both the FL & ML and the supporting actors. However, if you do decide to watch it, just try to ignore the two main flaws of the story line.

The ending is unbelievable.

WTF is that ending? It would have been better if he had stayed dead. You have to suspend any logic to accept this ending.
Why go through so much effort and hurt her feelings and cause trauma just to avoid telling her you're sick? What kind of relationship is that where he can't tell her the truth? If a person did that to me, there is no way we are getting back together.

I never realised how fast a show can plummet until I watched this....

MAJOR SPOILERS:

This show had such potential and I was honestly going to give it a 8.5 AT LEAST, from the first few episodes. BUT, I think there should be a cap on how many plot twists a show should have. Like the first few plot twists I was like "oh noooo, what happened" but by the end of it I was just baffled at how ridiculous it got. The show should have either had the stalker storyline OR the terminally ill storyline. The show should have either gone with turning it into a sad drama and killing of the ML OR had him go through his illness with her until he was in remission. WHY DID HE FAKE HIS DEATH?!? To put someone through 5 YEARS of grief, ESPECIALLY someone who has literally lost so many people in her life is just wrong... and then to come back and just giggle while she's crying as if her whole world didn't just flip upside down because the person she loved so dearly and thought to be dead turned out to be alive? IF HE DIDN'T WANT HER TO KNOW HE WAS ILL, WHY DID HE GO BACK TO THE COFFEE SHOP JUST CUZ SHE SENT HIM A MESSAGE ON INSTA???? ESPECIALLY IF HE WAS GOING TO FAKE HIS DEATH ANYWAYS WHICH IS SO MUCH MORE CRUEL. The writers absolutely MURDERED this show in such a small span. As you can tell I'm pissed.

It had a great potential but the last episode left me with a big question mark

I loved this drama at the beginning and I would have rated it 9. I could relate with Rara's character so much as she reminded me the little girl I was when I had started playing the piano at age 7, before dropping the conservatory at age.19. Thanks to this drama I started thinking to start studying again. It was nice to watch this drama because it was not too serious... until the last two episodes when things started being unpredictable. I cried so freaking much at the scene when Jun's mom comes to Lala Land and tells Rara that Jun has passed away. I still can't get over it. It made my my heart ache so much because it reminded me of some friends of mine who lost their battles and did not make it. Then I don't understand the last scene, when Jun suddenly comes back after 5 years. Why did the mother say he was dead then? Why the 5 years silence? I was happy for the happy ending as I wished he was not really dead, but the way they cut the story short makes no sense to me. It is kinda irrealistic. I wish they would have given us a decent explaination on why pretending he was dead then. And the doctor taking those vitamins but building up a mystery around it just to fill something more in the plot? What the heck?
