Xanxia Drama's
The FL and her sister are flower spirits.
Strong FL and ML
The ML is a prince from the Heavenly Realm where he is expected to rule with little to no emotions at all. Also, the ML plays several versions of the same character.
The second ML is from the demon world.
soulmates, star crossed lovers, opposites attract: you name it.
and finally, the ML & FLfight against all odds for their love.

There is a love story of someone from the Heavenly realm falling for a person from the Demon realm. Both have beautiful visuals and a theme of opposites attract, unlikely romance.

From the Same director so it has some similarities.
Both are Xianxia’s
Both FL’s are human but want to become immortal and work hard for it. They also have a powerful, tragic past/identity that they discover towards the end of the story.
The FL is seen as an outsider/bullied by others.
Tragic sister relationship
The ML protects the woman he loves above everything and would sacrifice anything for her.
Both dramas feature a strong, healthy, loving, honest, supportive relationship between the FL and ML.
Both FL’s have a turbulent relationship with their father at first. Which turns out to be a ruse by the dad in order to protect them and his image. Curiously played by the same actor.
The ML and 2ML start out as enemies but become friendly allies. Ps. One is an Immortal the other is a Demon.

Both are the part of the 'Sweet' trilogy... Both are costume Xianxia dramas.... Love when the stars fall will also be made by same director Andy Liu.... Who also made Ashes of love....

If you just finished “Starry Love” and are feeling a bit of a hangover from it, then definitely watch this show. It offers fluffy moments and explores the “what ifs” when the two couples spend time together without the usual dilemmas. It beautifully illustrates the positive relationships between sisters and a brother-in-law. The parallels are great and made me realize why “Starry Love” stuck with me and why I watched it twice. This series provides the closure I needed to feel satisfied knowing that everything ends well and happily.
They are both fun to watch, Shen Li is focused on one romance, Starry Love has multiple romances but the main focus is Empyrean Xuan Shang and Ye Tan's story. All of them are cuties. Both ML's fall hard once they accept that they can forgo the weird teachings and are allowed to fall in love.
Different telling of the same story.
During the Tang Dynasty in Yangzhou, two beautiful ladies are due to marry on the same day. Du Bing Yan will wed the seriously ill Qi Tian Lei, the third and prodigal son of the Qi Mansion, while Li Yu Hu must marry the bandit Yuan Bu Qu, who recently kidnapped her martial artist father. En route to their respective grooms' homes, both brides visit the Temple of the Mountain God, which suddenly erupts into flames. In the ensuing chaos, each boards the other's marriage sedan! How will they deal with the consequences of this mistake?

The plots and settings are completely different, but if you like to see women supporting women and healthy relationships, these are the shows to see. The FLs have had hard lives but find support in the women around them, while the MLs are used as weapons and have rocky relationships with their fathers. Both dramas call out abuse and show how people can help each other heal.
WDBTD and The Starry Love both remind you that even in the middle of celestial politics and demon wars, love can sneak in through the smallest, funniest cracks. Sima Jiao is centuries of fury wrapped in one dangerously pretty package, and yet Tingyan, with her lazy “I’m just here for the ride” attitude, becomes the calm he never knew he needed. In Starry Love, Youqin is the definition of stoic immortal, but all it takes is Yetan — sharp-tongued, quick-witted, and hilarious in her irreverence — to unravel him step by step. In both dramas, the women aren’t just love interests; they’re game-changers, turning almighty men into people who can laugh, sulk, stumble, and, finally, love.
The difference is in the flavor of their humor. WDBTD tempers its tragedy with Tingyan’s dry wit and her “professional slacker” energy, making even the darkest moments strangely tender. Starry Love, meanwhile, leans more into playful banter: Yetan’s sass against Youqin’s solemnity makes their romance feel lively, believable, and ridiculously endearing. One gives you the sensual slow-burn of fire meeting calm breeze, the other the sparkling clash of sun and stone — but both leave you grinning at how love can disarm even the most untouchable of men.
