I wish I could give it less than a one rating
So there’s 40 episodes at approximately 42 minutes each which could’ve easily been 24 episodes at 30 minutes each and you wouldn’t have lost anything. It was excruciatingly slow but was quite a sweet story for the first 15 episodes.The show had a feel of an epic. I thought it was gonna be similar to the spectacular ‘hidden love’ but that quickly disappeared.
Dad was a bit of a dick, but not the devil. Didn’t like how she left without saying goodbye. I get the familial thing in Chinese culture but the problem was when they reunited she didn’t try to explain. she didn’t seem to want to know the struggle he’s been through and just wanted to start a fresh and sweep everything under the carpet.
It was also a bit of a confusing timeline at one point because we heard somebody say six months she was gone, then roommate said a year then the FL was saying she’d been gone 18 months???
She lied about being at the library when she was at the beach. There was no apology. She caused the whole mess with the secret relationship because her roommates misunderstood when the ML had already clarified the situation regards the senior girl but she still let him handle it and didn’t take any accountability for her ridiculous actions.
Mind blown.
The bratty immature spoiled rich girl at school became her Bestie at college. Urgh!
Why did the writers make this terrible choice when the sweet, timid and shy Ruxi was right there and we could’ve enjoyed her growth to becoming a beautiful confident woman alongside the FL.
Episode 16 I was more invested in her love story with he songnan because I was annoyed at the FL who looked too old for the role anyway.
I love the male lead and his deep, brooding, complex character but by episode 16 I was more annoyed by the female lead always seeming so happy at his jealousy. Pathetic!
It’s become a hard watch now, cause I’m really beginning to dislike the FL.
By episode 18 I’m beginning to like the FL again she seems supportive and confident in her feelings and relationship with the ML. Even the bratty roommate became mature and her budding romance with FL step bro (top level actor by the way) was quite cute.
He definitely fancied his stepsister, which was weird, but I can just about brush over that.
The shooting stuff was quite interesting and intense. I liked it.
In episode 22, we see her mum blackmailing her own daughter. What a wholesome lovely message that is. *Eyes roll*
Filial piety in China must have some limit surely?? no matter what disgusting and despicable actions parents do, it appears you still have to follow their lead. Absolutely horrific!
In episode 27, we get to see Ninghe crying and we’re supposed to feel sorry for him is truly disgusting.
Let’s recap.
He blamed ML for uncle’s death and provoked him relentlessly where he beat Ninghe up and got a year suspension from school. He then released reports about him to his university and FL’s mum to ruin his reputation and get him kicked out of the shooting team, ultimately ruining his participation in the provincial team. He then unlawfully set up an online store selling the uncles designs which caused a big plagiarism dispute which he did nothing but sabotage the ML and FL finding the truth. It then turns out it was his fault that uncle was driving in the rain and I had the accident and it had nothing to do with the ML AT ALL.
The result: he gets given full ownership of the shop naming and propriety rights over his uncle’s designs from the male lead.
I’m absolutely disgusted and I hate this message that if you commit despicable acts from beginning to end you will succeed in life.
Even the guy who stole uncles designs was let off because he gave a written apology. HE STOLE THE DESIGNS, SLANDERED AND DECEIVED THE ML. He got away unscathed…….
I’m horrified and I now hate this show with a passion.
Forgiveness is one thing, but to reward evil it’s just an utterly ridiculous message.
In episode 28 the writers then try to justify this nonsense by letting the male lead give the most ridiculous and nonsensical speech to FL telling her he’s just ‘respecting uncles wishes’.
Do these people think the viewers are stupid? There are some dark forces at play here. It’s quite disturbing.
Even 20 minutes before the end of episode 30 everybody was miserable and driven to despair by life. Just totally awful.
Ending, inconclusive and a disaster. I watched ‘you are desire extra’ and reviewed there..

AMAZINGGGG
First of all, i just love this actor. i watched when i fly towards you and absolutely loved him in that and then started watching this.This drama is so damn good and their chemistry was just wonderful. I loved how they portrayed friendship, love, emotions, setbacks and how to overcome them.
eveybody's relation was so well done.

i really love this cdrama, the plot is really good too. Zhou Yiran & Sabrina Zhuang have the cutest moments behind the scene, Shen Juan & Lin Yujing have the CUTEST moments in here, i just really love this cdrama so much, the plot is really good because Lin Yujing had a really cruel life with her parents, and with Shen Juan he also had a rough time through the years, but when they meet each other their life’s just got even better because they have each other, the ending was kind boring but when I saw the special episode i was happy, their matching dimples were cute too, people may be disappointed because it was rarely romantic, but i think it was a mature drama not that much skinship.Was this review helpful to you?

Honestly, I kept putting this drama off even though I really like the manhua because of the ratings, but I finally decided to give it a go (because I watched a bit of wifty and it wasn't for me but I like zhou yi ran in reborn). I am so glad I did because I personally though that this is a light hearted drama that's easy to watch. My favourite part was the high school days because I loved how much they showed friendship between the FL and the 3 guys (including ML). I also liked how it was not super cheesy or anything and did not make their lives about romance after they got together iykwim. Also, the misunderstandings between the leads never dragged and they have a really healthy relationship <3 Although I do agree the ending felt a bit rushed and incomplete, I still love this drama :))Was this review helpful to you?
Zhou Yiran Shines, But a Draggy Plot and Overstuffed Storylines Dim the Drama’s Potential
It is really unfortunate that I have to leave a negative review for the drama Zhou Yiran starred in, especially since he is one of my favorite actors. His acting has improved so much since his first drama, and it is clear he is putting in a lot of effort. Sadly, this drama’s downfall isn’t due to his performance, but rather the story itself. I have seen numerous comments about the plot after episode 15, but I couldn’t even make it past episode 10. I really tried, but the pacing was just too slow. If it were a 21-24 episode series, maybe it would have had a better chance, but honestly, I just don’t get why there were so many secondary characters and their romantic subplots. There is a saying that when a drama has too many side stories, it loses focus on the main one and this drama is a perfect example of that.I love Yiran, but I can't really recommend this show to anyone. I feel like the 7.8 rating is generous; it’s a mixed bag—some people might enjoy it, but I am willing to bet the majority will find it frustrating. After watching over 150 dramas, I can say with confidence that around 80% of the audience will get irritated, and it might even turn them off from similar stories in the future.

The reviews for this story here make it seems like the drama is worst and not worth to watch . Its not even that bad, kt can easily pass 8.0 out of 10 rating . Most of people also review that it lack of romance , like they want more kiss scene . Not all drama need a lot of kiss scene to make it as romance, there's a lot other way to show romance is . This story is how they grow up endure the pain, struggle together despite their family problem . The youth friendship, young-adult people who first time fall in love .Its the way how you see the meaning of life that will effect on how you view this drama . If you are someone who like romance a lot , sweet scenes , not a fan of conflict , its not recommend to watch it cause it will break your expectation . This drama barely have romance BUT their deep eye love staring , warm hugs , awkward-cute hands holding live it up for their young-adult romance , its really cute to ignore tbh .
Just how real life is, not all relationship need to be romance, hyper-active all the time . Some just keep low, support and trust each other but still both know they will always have each other side no matter what happen , one of mature way of relationship .
Clear your mind and start watch this drama only when you are not in any expectation . Pls dont trust all reviews since different people have different genre taste and expectation that they like . Start watch it yourself and give it a rate based on how you see the drama is :)

The dimple couple
I first found this drama on TikTok and let's say this drama ATE, like it's a high school drama with a girl sitting next to the school bully. Most people would say this flopped but instead this drama ATE and left no crumbs. I honestly was surprised to see Zhou Yi Ran because When I fly towards you was an absolute flop this one was sooooo good I've been rewatching it so many times and their dimples are like so cute. Zhou Yi Ran is so comfortable with Sabrina Zhuang. Plus if you like K-pop idols Sabrina Zhuang in this drama reminded me of Jisoo from blackpink and Winter from aespa. Both of their visuals are on top and when I saw Sabrina playing the electric guitar in this drama I was like damn this girl hella talented. Honestly I totally recommend this drama and couple they're so cute with their dimples. I absolutely love this and the behind the scenes are sooo cute. Zhou Yi Ran said Sabrina was a pretty girl and she is indeed, There chemistry is sooooo good. I definitely recommend.Was this review helpful to you?

This is like the more emotionally intense version of When I Fly Towards you. I can't state how much I love this drama. I really really loved how the story progressed, I really love Shen Juan and Lin Yujing both, and how they handled differences between them and their families. I have heard lots of criticism about Zhuang Dafei's acting being emotionless, but I absolutely fail to see what they mean. The confession scene was so good I have watched it a dozen times already. The soundtracks are the cherry on the cake. I don't have much to say against it... except that it could have been longer and I'd really love to see them and the side characters mature more.Was this review helpful to you?
Such a disappointment. If you came because of the novel or manhua, don't waste your time...
I was looking foward to this adaptation because I am currently reading its manhua version. I like the characters and, specially, the art! So I was really excited to watch this.But... Unfortunately, I was let down big time.
I didn't think that the actress playing our FL managed to portray the character's vibe, aura and beauty. Lin Yu Jing is supposed to be the type of girl that is just so pretty that it's impossible to pass by unnoticed. But Sabrina Zhuang just played her as a moody teenager. I didn't really feel the etheral beauty queen vibe from her at all.
Moving on from our FL, we get Shen Juan, who was supposed to be a tattoo artist... And the drama transformed him into a silver artisan or something? And then those fighting scenes out of nowhere really made this more childish than it was supposed to be. I am way too old to be watching a supposed teenager single handely fight off an entire gang and still win, unscarred. Sure, there's similar scenes in the manhua (and novel probably), but Zhou Yi Ran's body type and stature aren't convincing at all. What's more, those fights start with no reason what so ever. On the first episode alone there's like two scenes. What's the point? Oh, sure, it's just to show how our ML is simply Chuck Norris's son himself. Seriously...
I didn't even manage to finish the first episode, I was afraid the amount of times I was rolling my eyes was unhealthy.

Dimple Couple
Chemistry antara Zhou Yiran dan Zhuang Dafei terasa sangat natural dan tidak berlebihan. Visualnya estetik, alurnya hangat, dan pesan tentang perjuangan mengejar mimpi serta menghadapi konflik keluarga sangat menyentuh. Cocok banget buat kamu yang suka cerita slow-burn yang bikin senyum-senyum sendiri tanpa drama yang terlalu berat.My dimple couple its the best !!!
