As a fan of James, I had to watch this. This had a Neung Nai Suang 2015 feel at first mainly due to the time setting and, of course, the fact that James was also the male protagonist. I'd say, though, that's where the similarities stop. Differently from Neung Nai Suang 2015, where the main character's love relationship is extremely childish and lacking in communication, Padiwarada delivers a very mature perspective of love and that was intensely refreshing for me. The concept that love is something you build over years of understanding and caring for the other is rarely explored in dramaland and in my opinion, was well presented in this drama.

Rin was a good female protagonist, had great sense and presence. From beginning to end I admired her and, to be sincere, if I ever come to marry I hope I'll be able to be at least 30% of the wife she was. Even when the female rival plotted against her and Saran's wedding, she always acted accordingly with elegance. It's hard to find a main character like her in dramaland in general, so I was really surprised to find one in a lakorn of all things.

I think some of that also applies to Saran. From the moment he started opening up to Rin (what happened really early, another good surprise) he was really sweet. The only thing about him that made me a little mad was that he was too gentle for his own good at times. His first love didn't deserve 1% of his consideration towards her... That bitch really irritated me.

Now, besides the usual bitch character that is always present in any romance drama there is, the only other thing that I must complain about was the "White Tiger" and his magic thing. For me, that part of the lakorn was totally unnecessary and what would cause me distress if I ever were to recommend this to someone who isn't really into dramas and lakorns in special. Watching that part made me extremely silly, I wasn't even believing what I was watching at times and every time someone would enter my room I would simply stop watching out of embarrassment. I mean, really... Magic powers and all that in that kind of setting was horrible. This wasn't supposed to be a fantasy drama!!

The OST didn't really stand out to me. I would rewatch this only to see Saran's and Rin's beautiful relationship develop again. I just wish there were more kisses on the mouth instead of kisses on the forehead (which was seriously over used... I mean, there was this one episode where I counted at least five of them!!!)

At first, I watched it for Yaya. I'd seen a few episodes of another dramas that she starred in such as Game Rai Game Rak and Akkanee's Heart. Then, after seing James and falling in love with him I confess the story itself didn't matter much. I just wanted to finally see the main couple get together. I mean, they're just too gorgeous.

There's nothing great or unique about this show. I must say, though, that it served its purpose of entertaining me. I'm not that demanding about the shows I watch, my main criteria is to like at least one of the main characters, so that I have someone to root for along the watching journey. In this case, I liked both.

The main problem for me was the amount of extremely childish fights between our main couple. It was pretty much clear they had attraction and cared about each other, but were too imature to be honest and properly communicate their feelings. I would have no problem with it if those fights lead to some progress on their relationship but it started getting exausting since almost every time it just lead to more misunderstadings. Both were too proud and stubborn... Though I liked that most of the time, Neung was the one who would give in. Hehe.

Well, it was fun. And short.

8/10 for me.

This was a really cute and light-hearted lakorn. If you're looking for something simple, without much anguish and with a handsome and delicious male lead, then you can stop searching already.

Nadech Kugimiya is so dreamy in this that I couldn't even believe. I've watched episodes of some of his lakorns (90% of them with Yaya Urassaya), but in none of them he was nearly THIS handsome, and, yeah, he's always been beautiful. It's just that, in this, he's achieved a whole other level of sexiness. And, what's more, his character is complete as a man and was the main reason why I watched this lakorn. As for complete, I mean, he was understanding, intelligent, kind, sexy, confident, competent, funny, cute, gosh, he was the perfect man and husband material. I WANT KHUN SIGNH. NOW. GIMME.

On the other hand, as complete as he was, the female lead was extremely annoying most of the time, that's why I said that I watched it until the end because of him. At the beginning I found her extremely selfish, always causing trouble for everyone and still asking to remain at the farm shamelessly. That really pissed me off. Thank God Khun Singh existed, because if he didn't, I wouldn't have been able to put up with Noona.

I didn't care about any side characters, I hated her mother and skipped most of her scenes.

The couple scenes were cute, but it lacked deepness... in the skinship department, if you know what I mean. I felt as if I was watching a show for children. But, okay, it was cute.

Now I'm going to cry on a corner after becoming a Singh addict. Don't mind me.

If you're looking for something cute, light, fluffy and with almost zero conflicts, this is for you.

My review might feel a little harsh for some people, but understand that that is only so because I'm a real fan of the original material, so I had really high expectations for this adaptation! Some of which were met, and others, unfortunately, were not, so each point not met hurt more than usual for me.

Regardless, this is still a really good drama in general. So, if you're here reading this while still not being sure whether you should give this a chance or not, I would like to say: GO FOR IT.

My first encounter with this story was through the manhua adaptation. Chapters came out really slowly (and still do), but I was immediately hooked because, one, the art was absolutely gorgeous and, two, the story was really fluffy and cute. So when the manhua had only the first few chapters, I found out there was a novel and there was already a completed english translation. From that moment on, my husband only saw me again after I had finished binge reading it all! I'm absolutely crazy about this novel.

Having this been said, I think the drama adaptation failed in quite a few points. Before I get straight to them, firstly I would like to state that I don't mean to spread hate in anyway, but still, I gotta express my opinion.

So, the first thing that the drama adaptation did, that, for me, wasn't really well done, was when it decided to change the age gap between the characters by making drama Sang Zhi older then she actually is during some scenes. It's like they kept novel's SZ age mentality (of a 12 year old) and put them on a 17 year old drama SZ. Because of this, I found Zhao Luo Si's acting in the first part of the novel way too childish and unnatural for a supposed 17 year old girl. Had I not been familiar with the novel, I would probably think that teenage SZ was mentally challenged.

Also, some really important little nuances and scenes from the novel, sadly, didn't make it into the drama version. Two that immediately come to mind while I'm writting this is how they changed the scene and reason why SZ decides to stop the pursuit phase and accept DJX. This scene change really affected one of the most important moments for me in the novel, which is the moment DJX shows his real self for the first time to SZ and opens up about his family situation, while being serious and vulnerable. Though the drama did include this last scene, it didn't really have the same emotional impact the novel had.

What's more, for this drama to be perfect to me, I would change Sang Yan's casting. Though I like Victor Ma, his version of Sang Yan didn't really catch the actual character's essence...

On the other hand, I loved the rest of the casting, in special, Zhao Luo Si, who made me cry with her in both airport scenes, she's really a great actress. Her feelings of first and pure love really reached and moved me. She was able to convey adult SZ's spoiled and cute nature really well.

The OST was good and solid. I expect to put at least 3 songs in my playlist.

So, right now I'm kind of into lakorns after finishing Neung Nai Suang 2015. I really like love-hate relationships, so I looked forward to this one. As I searched for lakorns to watch, this appeared on at least 2 recommendation lists. After seeing the premisse, I wondered why since the plot was pretty simple. After watching it, I feel that the plot isn't just simple... It is dumb also.

Too many things did not make sense. I felt silly watching this - such a surprise for me, since I'm not very demanding when it comes to dramas.

Harit was a jerk from beginning to end. He went from crazy kidnapper to scary stalker and even something else in between that I won't tell.

Soraya frustrated me like no other, though I didn't exactly hate her. Just thought she was dumb.

I skipped all the scenes with Sansanee, only managed to watch the ones that had something to do with the main couple.

Love In The Clouds has taken the number one spot for me and I'm not even kidding.

I’ve just finished the last episode and I’m still emotionally shaken, but I need to talk about this masterpiece while the feelings are fresh.

I can confidently say that this is the first time in ages I’ve felt compelled to write a review after finishing a drama — and the first time in a long while that I’ve given one a perfect score without hesitation. I binge-watched Love in the Clouds in about 3–4 days, completely hooked from the first episode to the last.

Before this, my favorite 2025 drama was Prisoner of Beauty, but even that didn’t quite make a perfect 10 for me because the ending felt rushed. With LITC, I had that fear too… and yet, it delivered in every aspect.

The pacing is one of its greatest strengths: consistent, engaging, and always moving the story forward without filler. The characters are well built, their individual arcs make sense, and — my favorite part — the relationships are incredibly well developed.

Our main couple’s chemistry is out of this world from day one. Their personalities complement each other beautifully, and their dynamic is the perfect mix of romantic tension and emotional depth. Ji Bozai… listen, I am a happily married woman, but you made me dream. Sir, control yourself!

Hou Minghao’s ability to convey emotions through those stunning eyes made me smile, swoon, and cry more times than I can count.

The story blends enemies-to-lovers with an intense cat-and-dog rivalry that slowly blossoms into devotion — the exact kind of trope I adore. If you’re a hopeless romantic who loves watching a couple love each other so fiercely that they would sacrifice everything, even their lives, for one another… this drama will steal your heart too.

And the OST? Perfection. I’ve already added five (yes, five!) songs to my Chinese playlist.

Love in the Clouds is a show I will rewatch someday, and one I’ll hold in my heart forever.

Well, what can I say? Ichi Rittoru no Namida was my very first asian drama, the one who introduced me into this whole amazing new world of dramaland. I can't even believe how many years passed since. So, I confess I'm being totally biased when I say that this is the best thing ever. Or maybe I'm not being that biased since it's all true.

What I'm trying to say is: don't trust me. Trust the other amazing reviews this drama has. Well, the 9.1 score can't be for nothing, do you agree?

But, let me say this at least: the name of this drama isn't One Litre Of Tears for nothing. You really will cry a life worth of tears, but I can guarantee you that, in the end, you'll be thankful and say that it was totally worth it.

To me, this is a drama that should be widely known through out the entire world. This should be like, I don't know, Titanic or other one of those things that have been watched by most people. Everyone, not only dramaland people, should watch this at least once in their lifes, that is what I think.

Because, by the end of the drama, you'll find yourself wanting to be a better person. You'll want to live your life differently, to never commit the mistake of taking things for granted ever again. This isn't just a drama. It's a punch in the stomach. You'll look at yourself and realize what an ass you are. And you'll want to change for the better.

You'll try to do it. For a few hours, days or weeks. And then you'll probably reverse back to who you were before, as you'll gradually forget the things Aya tried to teach you. Years will pass by in a blink of a eye.

But when you watch this again, it'll will be like the first time. The rewatch value of this isn't 10, is infinity. I'll definetely introduce this to the people I care about, even to my future husband and children. This is just too precious to let it be forgotten by time.

Even the OST is unforgetable. Remioromen's Konayuki and Sangatsu no Kokonoka and Kei's Only Human are just too gorgeous. Forever present in my ipod.

Ok. So, when I saw the teasers, I was really disappointed. I didn't even really understand what this drama was all about. I mean, what? A girl who enrolls in a elite school where students are crazy about good grades but then goes and turns into a cheerleader? So what? That didn't catch my attention at all. Fortunately, this girl happened to be played by Jung Eunji and I happen to be an Apink fan. And I couldn't ever be more grateful.

The thing is, guys: they promoted this drama using the wrong way. THIS IS NOT ABOUT CHEERLEADING. As a wise fellow already pointed out, this is NOT the korean version of Bring It On. It's the most wonderful highschool korean drama I have ever watched. It's about youth, growing up, about the real value of friendship and doing what's right even if all the odds are against you. I laughed, I cried. It was a turmoil of different and strong emotions.

Kang Yeon Doo is the person I would like to become when I grow up - and I'm already 22, hehe. She was always brave and positive when the situation demanded and I admired her so much for that. She never wavered (no, wait, she did. But that's ok, it showed she was human, and, besides, she always sticked to her values in the end).

Kim Yeol stole my heart right from the start with his crooked smile, there wasn't much I could do about it - not that I even tried. Lee Won Geun then became my new obsession and I can't wait for him to star in another drama (hopefully longer this time!! 12 episodes weren't enough T^T).

Ji Soo made me suffer of both leads syndrome. Though I was team Yeon Doo x Kim Yeol all the time, I confess I wouldn't be that mad if she ended up with Seo Ha Joon. He was just so precious, like a loyal puppy. <3

I enjoyed this drama so very much I would wait desesperately for monday to come. It was my first time.

10/10.

Youthful and light coming-of-age drama

This was a really light, fast and cute watch. Overall, I thought it was pretty good, but I must enlighten how the first few episodes made me cringe so hard that it felt even a little painful at times. Su ZaiZai’s flirtatious approach was so embarrassing and hard to get used to that I almost dropped the drama because of it. I don’t really like when the female protagonists are so head over heels out of nowhere that they make it way too obvious too early in the story. Thank goodness Zhang Lurang wasn’t the rude and arrogant kind of popular guy and also fell for her pretty quickly.

My favorite character was Gu Ran. I really wish the drama had given him and Jiang Jia more screen time in the university phase of the drama… The way their relationship was resolved felt really rushed. I wasn’t satisfied enough!

This had one of the worst Male Leads of all time

This series really disappointed me, though it's not like I had expectations that high anyway. There will be some spoilers in this review because I'm kind of ranting here, so you've been warned.

My main problem with this show is the ML. He's very rude for no reason, but, hey, that's the normal rule in dramaland, right? So what's the problem?

The problem is that his character development was really poorly written. In the beginning, he's rude to FL simply because he was forced to marry her due to an imperial order. Note that the poor girl had no say in any of it. And then the childhood bitch comes along and starts to plot against FL. This dumb son of a gun, though supposedly is a General and should work for the Justice, doesn't suspect anything. His wife hasn't done anything bad from the start, she even cooks delicious meals everyday and takes care of his mother's health. How come this stupid husband just believes everything his bitch "first love" says?? Not to mention, the bitch is always flirting with him and he does absolutely nothing to stop her advances. He even wants to be with her!!! Argh, really, He's the worst. He's so bad that his change from the framing and not trusting FL incident to the kiss while bathing was too unnatural. What's more, FL forgave him way too easily.

If I were her, I would have thrown away any hope or good feeling I had for him right that moment. There's nothing more hurtful than being unjustly wronged and realising the one person that should stay by your side (her husband), doesn't believe in you. Thank God the CP exists... ML is way too dumb and biased. Hate him.

The good surprise of this drama was the mother-in-law that, against all dramaland odds, actually liked FL from the start and cared for her.

This really turned out to be a rant. Sigh. Thank God I let it out of my system.

I've just finished watching this and I am currently bawling my eyes out. I can't believe how wonderful this story was. Dongfang Qingsang is now on the top of my list of favorite characters of all time. Looking back and remembering how great his character development was is such a marvelous journey. I love him so much, I can't remember ever loving a male lead this much.

Besides the gradually and ever consistently great build up and character development, this drama also has a great soundtrack and ost. I'll keep it forever in my heart.

I might edit this review later. I have so much to say, but I'm way too emotional right now.

Well.

Firstly, I love Yaya and Nadech. So they're the main reason why I decided to watch this. That and there's also the fact that I'm kind of in a lakorn watching phase.

Anyway, there wasn't really any surprise in the story, it was the typical enemies-to-lovers show. Yaya's character was so bratty at first, I found her really annoying. She would scream for every little thing!! And Athit, Nadech's character, was almost a saint. If I were him, I'd beaten some sense out of Nee in the first couple of episodes. There wasn't any plausible reason for the way she behaved towards him, aside from her personality being that of a pain in the ass grandma's little girl.

I confess the first half of this lakorn was a pain to watch. I prayed as I watched, wanting to arrive as soon as possible in the episode Nee would finally grow up and stop being so irritating. And that took so long!

BUT! I must be fair. When they finally got together for real, it was the cutest thing in the world. I swear I wasn't ready for all that sugar punches. So sweet, so, sooo sweet, I can almost say it was all worth the pain, just because of the last two episodes. Athit was perfect, so romantic.

Storyline had potential, but...

I love stories with romance, hidden identities, and a supernatural/fantasy background. So when I read the synopsis for Moonlit Reunion, I genuinely thought I had found the perfect drama to cure my Love in the Clouds withdrawal.

Unfortunately… I was wrong. So wrong.

First, a confession: I am a vain watcher. I like my leads visually pleasing. And here, I was ecstatic — Tian Xi Wei and Xu Kai are both ridiculously beautiful. But not even their combined beauty could save this drama for me. I tried. I crawled all the way to episode 33 out of 38, hoping it would get better, but eventually I had to accept defeat — I could not waste another minute on something I wasn’t enjoying.

The initial premise had great potential, but here’s where everything fell apart for me:

1. Xu Kai’s acting (in this drama) was… painful.

He had the exact same facial expression 99.9% of the time. I genuinely could not tell whether he was falling in love or experiencing severe discomfort — like cucumber-up-the-butt discomfort. His face was frozen: lifeless, stiff, emotionally unreadable.

At first, I tried to be understanding. We can blame the “stoic and aloof male lead” trope for a few episodes. But later on? When he’s supposedly deeply in love and ready to risk his life for the female lead? Nah, my dude. That’s when we need nuance, softness, longing — something.

Because there was none, the romance — the heart of the entire story — fell flat.

The script set up great romantic opportunities, and I could see the direction trying its absolute hardest to make scenes feel emotional and steamy… but they never landed. Without believable expression or emotional nuance from the male lead, everything felt forced and awkward.

2. The hidden-identity reveal was completely underwhelming.

With hidden-identity stories, the emotional payoff is everything.

Here? When the truth came out, it was so meh it barely registered. It felt rushed, and the male lead once again had the emotional range of a spoon. Not only that — he had already suspected her for a few episodes. And when the moment finally came, his reaction was something I simply could not forgive.

He had supposedly severed ties with his faction.
We are talking about a man who abandoned his life’s mission so he could pursue and love his wife — the same woman who had become his reason for living and his hope for the future. She turns out to be part of the very group he once swore to destroy, believing them to be evil and beyond redemption.

Wouldn’t this moment break you? Confuse you?
But you love this woman. You know she is not vicious. Would you not have talked to her? Trusted her? Asked for her reasons?

Seriously… Mei Si (from the second couple) had more of a proper male-lead emotional reaction when he found out his love interest was a demon than the actual male lead did.

There was almost no emotional weight on his side.
No heartbreak.
No catharsis.
Just another cardboard-expression moment.

At one point, I realized I was actively rooting for the couple to break up just so I could stop suffering through their scenes. That’s when I knew:

it was time to drop the show.

I truly wish I had loved Moonlit Reunion. It had every ingredient I normally adore — but great visuals and a promising premise can only carry a drama so far. Without chemistry, emotion, or believable acting, there’s nothing left to hold onto.

Dropped. With no regrets.

A Charming, Bite-Sized Romance: Why Time Travels Backward Is One of the Best Minidramas Out There

If you're bored, short on time, and looking for something cute, light-hearted, and quick to watch, this mini drama is exactly what you need. Time Travels Backward (2025) is genuinely one of the best minidramas I’ve seen so far.
(Light spoilers ahead.)

Our FML is an absolute delight — fun, adorable, endlessly gluttonous, and unapologetically herself. Some of her mannerisms even reminded me of Ariel from The Little Mermaid. Despite coming from the countryside and being clueless about certain social norms, she never lets anyone walk over her. She stands up for herself, refuses to be bullied, and has a refreshing backbone rarely seen in those typical timid, “please-rescue-me” female leads. Characters like her are exactly what I love.

The ML is also a standout. He’s extremely handsome — tall, sharp-eyed, and effortlessly charismatic. Honestly, I hope he lands a main role in a full-length drama soon because his acting here was surprisingly solid. Even though the engagement between them happens suddenly and he initially disagrees with it, he never mistreats the FML. On the contrary: he falls for her fast. He tries (and fails) to hide it, but it’s very clear that he favors her from early on.

One of the most pleasant surprises is how the drama handles the ML’s “childhood savior” subplot. At first, he’s borderline obsessed with finding the girl who rescued him when he was lost in the woods as a child with a broken leg. When the FL enters his life, he’s determined to ignore her and continue his search. But as the story progresses, he naturally develops feelings for her — and even when someone shows up claiming to be that childhood girl (and successfully convinces him), he still chooses to protect and prioritize the FL.
(Yes, he really does fall first… and falls hard. :D)

Overall, Time Travels Backward is short, sweet, and surprisingly charming. If you want something quick but satisfying, with great chemistry, a lovable heroine, and a swoony male lead, this one is definitely worth your time.

It took me only 2 days to finish watching this. After seeing the original korean drama several years ago and being a fan of it, I just had to take a look at this version. Fortunately, it didn't disappoint. And, what's more: now that I know there's going to be a chinese version too, I just can't wait for it to air.

No matter how many times this story is reproduced, to me it never gets old. The best thing about the thai version is Mike. He's just so adorable that it's difficult to stay mad at him, differently from Young-jae of the korean version.

Am is cute, but she seemed most of the time too childlike. I had to keep on remiding myself she was a woman already. I wish her hair had been straight, she would seem more mature that way.

Right, there's one thing that I must seriously complain about though: what's with that P' Guy guy and his english? Totally unnecessary. It really got to my nerves, I skipped almost every scene he was him, specially when Min was in it too. Second lead syndrome was impossible for this version.

The ost is good, though I got tired of the main song quickly, it's just too overused.
