Wen Ke Xing asks Zhou Xu why he had accepted Cheng Ling as his disciple to which he responds that his master had taught him to be brave and take paths no one had taken and trust people who are hard to get to know. He chooses Lao Wen as the one he was willing to trust. Cao Wei Ning visits Gu Xiang as he had heard about the kidnapping. She is touched, but sends him off. The disciples of Yueyang sect informs her that Gao Chong wanted to have an audience with her. He sees through her talk and threatens to punish her if she doesn't reveal where she was last night, but Cao Wei Ning interrupts and tells that she was with him the whole time to save her. Lao Wen tells the true origins of the Glazed Armor to Cheng Ling and Ah' Xu. Rong Xuan had believed that every martial arts had the same origin and intended to create a new martial world where they could share and learn techniques in harmony. His thirst for knowledge led him to hunt for secret scrolls, even through deception and violence. His wife, a disciple of the healer valley manages to save him from his injuries several times. The armory was built and Rong Xuan created the Glazed Armor, intending to give each piece to five of his trusted brothers. At a martial arts conference, the Five Lakes Alliance and other heroes decide to murder him. Left with no choice, he kills people to escape Mount Qingya, finally ending his own life. The ghosts of Qingya storm out and a battle begins, leading to the death of many. Cheng Ling is upset that his father too, had been a part of it. Zhou Xu tells him to forget the past, but Lao Wen disagrees. Xu asks Cheng Ling to give away the armor to the Alliance as his father and Rong Xuan wouldn't have wanted him in the middle of the mess. He decides to take him away after the Heroes Conference. Cheng Ling surrenders the Glazed Armor. Gao Chong asks Shen Shen to give away his piece of armor to him for protection. Zhou Xu and Lao Wen roam around together and he indirectly tells him that he had been forgiven and considers him as a good person. A happy Lao Wen drinks with him, sharing their childhood stories. Zhou Xue decides to visit the Scorpion's base, only to find it destroyed. Lao Wen secretly guesses that Changing Ghost, who was planning to rebel, had been the one to be behind it. He asks a hesitant Gu Xiang to retreat from Yueyang sect. Cao Wei Ning follows her out of fear that she might leave and offers to find the best doctors for Zhou Xu as he had heard that he was sick, but Xu informs him that he had resigned to live his last few days wandering the martial world with his soulmate and doing whatever he wants.
