The relationship between the male leads is so special like they are truly meant for each other (soulmate). I like the way Feng Ren (played by He Chang Xi) protect Po Xiao (Played by Ding Cheng Xin). This movie is actually the second time these two actors acted together, which is great because their chemistry is freaking lit. And the director for this movie is Guo Jingming, who also the director of the Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity, L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties and Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition as well.

Both are Wuxia dramas with great casts and interesting plots.

Both **Blades Amid Blossoms** and **Word of Honor** share classic wuxia DNA: a jianghu setting, martial-arts clans, honor vs. ambition, and characters shaped by past betrayals. They focus on intense male bonds, moral gray areas, and personal redemption against a backdrop of political intrigue and beautifully stylized combat.

Both are censored same-sex adaptations.

Both fall in the mystery genre.

Both are historical dramas.

And both are wuxia.

Similarities:

- Handsome Siblings is about a pair of siblings, whereas Word of Honor could be said to be boy romance
- Handsome Siblings involves straight romance, whereas Word of Honor has BL romance
- The character's personalities are quite different as well!

Live Long and Prosper is similar to Word of Honor in that both are male centric and is brotherhood coded.

If you want more bromance dramas in ancient china times, then this is worth checking out.
I love the special relationship between the three different main characters, a powerful eunuch, a low ranked official, and an imperial guard. They are so different but work together so well, worth checking out.

Very bromance heavy. This is one of many The Lost Tomb reboots/sequels, however this one and Reunion: The Sound of the Providence are the best ones of the bunch (in terms of story plot and level of bromance). I love the bromance between Wu Xie and Xiao Ge in this, one of my all time faves!
But this is about tomb raiding, and it may not be everyones cup of tea. But I do recommend.
