Bai Jue gives Shang Gu a pill he created to help Gu Jun’s cold veins, which are preventing him from accessing his full power. He also lends them the Dark Serene Land to help him cultivate into a God. The day comes when Gu Jun must face Xue Ying in battle.

The Duel was good, how he brought pride to their Pilgrimage Hall. And it's good to see that finally Shanggu has become mature and no matter if Gu Jun won or lost, she had decided to go into the Netherworld for cultivation and won't return until she gains the power of the Chief True God, I liked that about her. But that immortal in the Netherworld, I can't figure out what he's planning, and asking her to visit him often, just what is he planning. The barrier plan might someday backfire leaving her in danger. But still Bai Jue left his immortal body in God Realm and his Spirit went to the Netherworld, even though it'll shorten his life span, he's willing to do anything to protect her.
