Episode 47 when you split in two of you, was so awesome! Whoever wrote the storyline for this drama gets a standing ovation. OMGosh, the actress who played Houchi/Shanggu, Zhou Dong Yu, this is my first time watching her and she was fantastic. Petite as well. I'm excited to see more of her in her future dramas. Where did y'all find Liu Xue Yi, wow! I'm impressed with his acting. Many great actors and one of my other favorite actors is Leon Lai, it is always good to see him play a great part. He was great in Legend of Fuyao and Jiu Liu Overlord. Thank you to everyone that made this storyline great!

It's a gift to humanity.It's a masterpiece in the Chinese history of xuanxia drama.
When I first started watching it randomly , I didn't have high expectations. I continued this drama by chance usually I just leave the boring ones and shift quickly to next one's. As I kept on watching I was astounded by the story and the development . It just skyrocketed. I was inside the drama and I could feel inside damn I have never seen or will ever see anything like this. The actress portrayed shangu's character so well that I have a huge respect for her inside my heart. And xu Kai expression was everything. I cried so much , xu Kai made me cry all night and all day. And shangu omg how can she smile like that and talk like that and see like that, that was next level acting , she just nailed the character portrayal. I know for a fact that in this lifetime Zhou dong yu was meant to do this drama and something inside me tells that it's gonna change her life personally. It was her destiny. I can't even talk enough of Gu Jun how he could make me feel through his acting, the loyalty towards true gods and towards shangu was just the most beautiful thing in the world. And the love between all the characters and the relationship was out of this world , ofcourse. And empress can't tell how much I hated the character, she is such a talent to portray the character so well, damn. Best Xianxia
One of my fave xianxia ever. At first really not that interested and felt like dropping it but im so thankful of my patience and stayed till the end cause now i cant get over on this drama. I also went to read the novel thank you to blizzardahm for translating almpst half of the novel thankyou from the bottom of my heart. Novel and the drama were both amazing tho there's a huge difference since on novel its much cruel and more angst than the drama. I also love zhou dongyu acting and xu kai and also tianqi. I love every character of this drama the ending is a bit dissapointing cause we dont get the moment we wanted the most shanggu and baijue getting married. I wish they had put on the drama on the part of the novel where bai jue died and it shows how depressed shanggu became. Anyways couldnt add anything more this will always remain my favorite no matter what.Was this review helpful to you?
a roller coaster of emotions and amazing characters - just perfect!
I so freaking love this drama. Everybody did an amazing job. The couple compliment each other perfectly. The contrast between Shanggu and Houchi and Bai Jue and Qing Mu are very distinctive and the actors played them really really well. I especially like the adorable faces Shanggu makes and the childish, innocent faces Qingmu makes. I love the bond the true gods share with right amount of banters here and there. It was really beautiful. I love how Shanggu plays the spoiled youngest family and her antics to get what she wants only to be played unknowingly by Zhi Yang and Yue Miat her own game. Even the villians in this drama played their roles really well. Jing Zhao and Xue Ying's conceitedness makes my eye roll every single time it's laughable. I actually hate them more than the actual main villian. It's a pity Wu Huan wasn't able to redeem herself in the end. I also feel like Jing Zhao should've suffered more for all her bad deeds but then again it's how she was raised so I can't really say I blame her. I love the soundtrack as well especially Zhou Shen's Ju Lian and A-Lin's Qian Xun. I guess the only thing I am miffed about is Dong Hua. But only because in my head there is only one Dong Hua and it's Vengo Gao as Dong Hua Di Jun.
I can't count the number of times I have rewatched this drama. Maybe until another one sparks my interest but for now I am stuck with it.

A bit of spoiler alertIts overall nice. I cried in the Qingmu and Houchi arc. They did nothing wrong but their story is very tragic. I somewhat hate Bai Jue in here but the reasons were explained in future eps so thats not considered a plothole. Thank God. First few episodes are boring. Bai Jue fall in love with Shanggu too quickly thinking that he was the distant handsome guy trope hahaha. I love Shanggu but her hairstyle in the latter eps doesnt really looks nice. I mean, there's room for improvement. Houchi and Bai Jue's son really has a nice attitude. Love him ahahah.
I love the cgi nd vfx! Very surreal.
Its nice all in all.

One of the Best Xianxia series ever. Just watch it!!!
I start watching this without expectation, everybody keep saying about how they complain about the ML and FL just after watching one eps and keep saying the story of xianxia is always the same. Then I'm sorry have to say if you take people opinion to watch then you will miss one of the best xianxia series.This series start slow but end up giving on of the best roller coaster feeling you will ever had.
Don't try to skip anything cause later on you will feel lost cause every single conversation almost give some information for the story.
I have to give Kudos to the writer, director, editor, actor and actress to give such a well made xianxia series. ^_^

Is it Good to Watch?
Definitely yes , it was worth it and you'll love this too like i do ✨ . This is a masterpiece drama and became one of my favorite . I have watched it already for how many times but i still feel the same while watching like it was the first time. The two main lead have done their best into this same goes with the others that viewers like us could feel the characters emotions which will keep us with the flow of the story . This is high recommended for everyone . Some parts would give us lessons too and there are parts were too heartbreaking that you need tissues with you but it was worth it 💜🤗✨👏. one of the best Chinese drama that i have watched..the first 15 episodes are my favourite... it tells the love story of shanguu and bai ju... really loved the character of tianqi and yumni..
after the story becomes some what boring as the character of houchi was not as cheerful as shanguu..
Gu jun is the best student and the best father who can do anything for shanguu...
there are some moments where i am disappointed ☹️☹️ like
1. why yumni is not reincarnated.
2. there should be a new love story for our tianqi
3. why does bai ju not helped houchi when she was hurt, even after knowing that she is pregnant.
4. there should be some episodes at the end showing shanguu ruling as chief god
Ost -- amazing 😍😍.. They are in my routine playlist.. this is the only Chinese drama whose all OSTs I like.
Re-watch value -- very high.. i have watched it many times and i know that in future also i am going to re-watch it again....
really love the storyline and the cast ... Hope to have a new drama with same cast or drama with similar storyline

wounderful story, exciting and lovely
Despite the long dramas, it is enjoyed to the fullest, it is increasingly exciting, it makes you cry, and also the performances are great, I highly recommend it.The costumes and sets are beautiful, I really like watching these period dramas and we can't stop watching episode after episode.
I saw it because of Xu Kai, I follow a lot of his dramas and I wasn't wrong with this one.
If you are one of those who like these period dramas, you cannot miss it, no matter how long it is because you enjoy it to the fullest.

Sacrifices you make for the love ones
this drama has a lot of elements, the couple are really cute ,so is the second couple and the costumes are very pretty too.this drama talks about 4 Gods, a story about 2 of the 4 gods who fell in love with each other. there are some scenes that shows cute relationship of the couple and its just SO CUTEEEE. honestly my fav character is probably their kid , he is so CUTEEEE.

by the tittle i say sacrifices u make for the love ones is because bai jue decide to sacrifices him self in order for his lover to be safe.

An Alright Xianxia
I watch a lot of Xianxia’s, and there’s nothing particularly wrong with this Xianxia, but it hangs low in a sea of excellence.The performances are excellent, but it brings nothing new to the table. I also want to add that I nearly dropped this drama in the first 16 episodes because exposition should never be that long.
The mortal arc was fun to watch, and the aftermath was tragic. But there was nothing here that felt enlightening. Now, it is called Ancient Love Poetry, so that was likely a sign, but I would have loved for the SML to pine for someone other than the FL, and for there to be less of a focus on destiny in this drama.
