Loved the FL and ML

I LOVED this drama, my first Taiwanese drama and I don't think I'd ever find another Taiwanese (Kdrama or Cdrama) drama as good as this one. It's a mixture of: W - Two Worlds and Extraordinary You.
What I loved about this drama is that the "dream" world was in fact real, at least to the ML and FL. Unlike many other shows where the other reality is only real to just the ML or FL, here it was real to them both, which is the most important aspect of the story.

There are essentially two romance stories in this drama between the main characters:
1) Book (dream) World: The story of how the Xiao'en and Aoran (book name of He Tian Xing) fall in love.
2) Reality (awake) World: The (much shorter) story of Xiao'en and He Tian Xing falling in love

I loved both love stories, but they were both very different. You'll understand just how different the book world and real world stories are when they collide and litterally break apart at episode 15. I preferred the real world Tian Xing over his book world counterpart. He was better in litterally every aspect and I wish we got to see more of him. Tian Xing himself said that he didn't like the person he was in the book world. I wish we had more episodes in the real world rather than the book world. There was also a lot more action and subplots in the real world story that I wanted the FL and ML to experience more of. Other than that, the story was PERFECT. I did have to skip some parts of the drama because the FL really made me cringe sometimes.

Another thing I have to mention is the CHEMISTRY between the FL and ML. It was SOOO good. I really want to see another drama with Vivian and Marcus as the main leads. I mean even before the two charecters met, you could see the chemistry. And when they were together, even when the characters hated each other, the chemistry was EVERYTHING.

Overflowing with sweet scenes and chemistry

Characters were great, the story was great, the romance was great. It may seem a bit slow in the first episode but once you get past them laying down the characterisation, the story really picks up, and becomeas a lot more fun and engaging.

I'm always a sucker for a story where someone is transported to another world/the past/into a book/etc and this was one of my favourite representations of that.

Also... the romance is just amazing. The lovey-dovey scenes are so good and even just the fun, f;ortatious banter is so good to watch! The chemistry between the two leads is undeniable and the second ML is also fantastic - and while I couldn't help wanting the ML and FL to end up together it was really hard not to root for our second leading man too!

Definitely worth a watch!

You need a little bit of patience

I was somewhat detached during the first half of the show. I couldn’t really get where those intense feelings were coming from – Situ Aoran liking Chuchu, Qing Feng liking Chuchu, Zheng Ziao En liking Situ Aoran and Chuchu as the supposed female lead which by the way did not strike me as such, to me she was the minor role who had the hots for the male lead while playing the innocent and turns evil. There is such a thing as playing your character well, I just really found her annoying in the novel and reality and I mean her, not just her character. Every time she comes on screen I wanted to scratch my monitor.

So anyways, I had to reset my mind to watch if from the perspective that it’s supposed to be a typical romance novel with typical characters, usual clichés with the audience jumping in the middle of the story and just accept the fact to take it as it is because there really is no reason to it. Okay fine.

It got better from episode 9, though that felt like forever because the episodes are about an hour long with lots of slo mo, replays and replays every time I think the show goes on commercial. On to the better part of the show….

No matter how evil He Mingli was I didn’t really hate her like the above, good that she turned good. Kelly Liao looks very classy and elegant, even when she was in the hospital.

Duan Mu Qing Feng happy that he finally gets his happy ending. First time I’ve seen Simon Lian in a drama, hope to see him in one where he gets the girl :-)

Vivian Sung is great going from one emotion to another.

Marcus Chang what can I say :-) He fits the role. I like his little expressions and when he smiles :-)

This drama is creative and I liked the ending.

Thoroughly enjoyed this ❤️ It was 'original' and thought provoking.

This was an awesome Mystery Romance, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Its not the normal trope of 'being transported into a novel' etcetera etcetera. It was 'original' and thought provoking. I couldn't stop at the end of an episode unless I was extremely tired and had to go to sleep.

When I was thinking of the rating for this series, I couldn't think of anything that I would have changed if I was the script writer, so I give it a 10/10.

The main characters were portrayed very well by the respective actors and I will see if there's other series's in which they are also the main leads.

Rewatch: Very likely as I really enjoyed it.

?What an entertaining drama!!!!?

I have to say that I’ve always avoided Taiwanese drama’s as they acting wasn’t on par or their dramas had too much noise on the background or the plot too thin.... But after I thought let me give this drama a small chance. Before I knew I was hooked and had to binge watch it. Although I’ve watched a lot of Kdramas and Cdrama, this story felt fresh, entertaining and you never knew exactly what’s gonna happen next. And the kiss scenes, hoo, don’t get me started on those. Everything about this drama felt well executed. I wouldn’t mind another Tdrama like it, lol 😂

Well-balanced romance

The drama is slightly different from the fluffy romance I expected. But if you are doubting, just try it out. It surely focusses more on the romance but it is well-balanced by adding angsty 'spices' to the plot. The main couple made me super envious and their chemistry was great.
Marcus Chang is a total eye candy, but I have to thank this drama for introducing me to Simon Lian (total hottie that stole my heart). The drama adds depth and inner struggles of character (of course not all flawless).

Product placement of the diffusers were actually part of the story. Also witty were the few K-drama references.

Music is very repetitative and not perse to my liking.

Beautiful (Another one I'll be adding to my rewatch list)

First of all, what a gorgeous ensemble cast. This drama is especially a treat for all the romance readers out there. "We all have but one dream, to be sucked into the our favorite books."

Both the ML and FL did such a good job of portraying their characters. It was a bit draggy when the ML thought that everything was FL's fault, even when it didn't make sense. That lasted far too long for me. Apart from that their relationship was wow! Wow, as in, the chemistry between the two is just mind-blowing. When these two characters locked lips, sparks flew. All their intimate scenes were so well done.

SML was such a adorable and great guy. I was hoping to see his real-life counterpart once ML regained his memories, but that didn't happen. At least he got the happy ending he wanted.

Chuchu was one of the most annoying characters in here. Her one-dimensional character and childish voice just made it difficult to listen to her dialogues. (I also skipped most of the scenes with ML's family and their disputes over the company and fortunes, that part just wasn't fun for me.)

Despite that, this is pretty drama. No regrets on the time spent watching this.

Easily makes my Top Favorites!

Lost Romance was Everything! I more than Loved this show. This as to be one of my all time Favorites yet. It easily makes my Top favorite list. I also feel like it's so underrated, like how come no one is talking about this show??? It's laugh out loud funny, it's cheesy, it's swoon worthy and so heartfelt. For a book lover I was over the moon. Like this is every readers dream! Our FML is transported into her own fictional story and it's EVERYTHING!!! Gah, I was so hooked on this show. It's definitely different from normal romances, the transmigrating into a novel was so refreshing and exciting (it's also only for 3 months and then everyone is back in realtime) which was very unique. Our two male leads were so gorgeous and wonderful, I had such a hard time. I was seriously hung up on both of them, they both have a part of my heart. Our FML's BFF is freaking hilarious, and the situations that happen are just too much. I hurt so much the next day from laughing. I was also crying inside for our girl because she is seriously put through so much, my heart ached for her. I highly recommend this drama, it was like my favorite book coming to life. I can't believe how much it's slept on!!

Hottest love scene in an Asian drama

As a romance book editor myself, I of course related to the heroine and loved how the show pokes fun at romance book tropes and readers in a lovingly teasing way that pays homage to romance readers. The side plots in this show aren't great due to overacting and a daytime daily soap opera feel to them, particularly with the real-world family drama scenes, and the production quality, mainly the sound, is subpar sometimes. The OST is Excellent though, and I especially loved that the ML was the singer for several of the tracks. I'm now a big Marcus Chang fan. (Also, how sexy are his hands?! omg) I really liked the chemistry, both romantic and friendship, between all three leads. And there's an actual love scene that is on fire! This is one of those shows that gets better as it goes on. I wouldn't recommend it as a starting point for anyone new to Asian drama, just because I think there are better options for making a first impression, but it's great for established fans. I'd enjoy a rewatch skipping all of the

AWESOME DRAMA

This is one of the best drama in 2020. I highly recommend to watch it. Don't regret it later for not watching.

This is truly tremendous drama. Not only storyline is awesome but their acting too. The whole brown shade lighting they have used in this drama is great. One thing I the most is that no over makeup. That feels very natural to watch.

How FL travelled to the novel, how novel script changing after things happening in novel world, how she came to the real world, the whole process the writer has written perfectly.

Romance part is marvellous. Kissing and sex scene was too hot. I like this part about Taiwanese drama. They don't have any censorship like c-drama. The important thing must be in drama is chemistry between leads, which you can see how great it is. I saw FL in unicorn girl but never thought she is very good in acting. After this drama i became fan of her.

The one who read mang/novel can more relate parts when FL entered into novel world.hahah. Drama is not at all draggy. You can watch without skipping any part.

My overall rating : 10/10 .Enjoy watching.

One of the best Cdramas out there!!

First of all, I was so hooked on watching this drama that I didn't want to reach the last episode 😅. Like for real. I even delayed my time to watch every episode just to calm down my hype for the next episode. Now you know why I gave this an overall perfect score of 10.

I watched so many Cdramas that I could conclude that most of them have better ending scenes than Kdramas. I commend them for that aspect.

The characters are so good on portraying their roles. Vivian definitely gave a fresh take on her role as Xiao'en. I like how she's not mostly over-acting. Being in a parallel dimension like in books, the FL tends to be more aggressive and don't mind the consequences of her actions. Xiao'en is a smart and wise character. On the other hand, Marcus also did a great job on his role as the overbearing CEO, Aoran/Tianxing. The drama has successfully differentiated Aoran from Tianxing in terms of personality and behaviour (referencing Ep 20) and I can give it a pass since they didn't just forcefully conclude that both characters is only one. It shows two sides of the same coin.

Now let's talk about the OSTs. I love all of the songs but Marcus' "Talk To Me" has surpassed all of them 👌 The emotions of his voice in the song give more feels everytime it plays during his lovey-dovey moments with Xiao'en.

Lastly, I'm so satisfied with the ending. A good story should end with a good ending. That's should be the rule. When I say "good ending", it means no cliff-hangers, unexplained details in the plot and no loopholes that can leave you confused. I love how they didn't forget Qing Feng to have a closure with his first love. Well, it's thanks to the loyalty of Xiao'en that he can now disappear peacefully and without regrets.

I highly recommend this drama and that's not up for any debates!! 🔥

Doesn't-make-sense storyline but still worth watching

As a previous review suggested ,if you actually take a momemt to consider the storyline ,somethings just plainly don't make sense in the least yet I'm still watching it,cuz the acting is really good. Although the main guy could do better, i really do want the guy SPOILERS to regain his memory and be with the FL in the real world. The music is really good, theres a lot of filler which i tend to skip forward and just watch the main bit about the main couple, but overall the chemistry between the two is amazing and you emd up really rooting for him to regain his memories (personally i didn't get SLS, but do wish he existsint he real world too). Its cute, fluffy with just enough excitement to make you watch the next episode. Since i havemt finished watching it, my final opinion may change.
