Park Jihoon definitely carried the whole show

The show really was fun to watch. Thanks to Park Jihoon's performance. He I would say carried the whole show on his shoulders (I guess his shoulders are wide enough :D) Honorable mentioned would be Ahn Dogyu and Go Chanbin. I had fun watching them too. I even enjoyed Lee Sehee's performance. I wish she was in the story longer.

The other actors were good to say the least but not exactly too good. I understand most of them were first-timers.

The story itself was interesting that I ended up looking for the webtoon just to see read it. Such a shame only until Chapter 80 has the english trans.

Anyway this show is enjoyable enough, light-hearted and funny. It does show how Park Jihoon can handle funny, comedic characters in contrast to his darker persona in At A Distance Spring is Green.

I thought this would be the worst, but I was wrong

I read some reviews before watching this, and I thought this would be really bad.. But I was wrong! There may be some scenes where you go like "This is so cringe!" But not many, you get over that feeling quickly. I love how there isn't love triangles or anything, this is a really light-hearted drama.

The casting is amazing, I really love all of the actors and they played their roles perfectly.

The ending makes me think there will be a season 2 someday, and I really hope so! I also hope they will show Min Ji and Kyung Woo finally dating.

light and sweet high school romance!

gosh this drama was adorable ! it has everything you expect from a high school drama, the multiple couples, the slight jealousy and misunderstandings, shy confessions and friendship !

jihoon plays a puppy like boyfriend, which suits him a lot! i usually don't enjoy extremely "aegyo-like" behavior from any of the leads, but the way he portrayed gong jooyoung was refreshing and not too cringy to me! jarim was slightly too robotic for me though, but she loosened up at each episode :) the story was okay, a bit predictible, but that's what you want from school dramas hehe

the short episodes were well paced, with new small stories for each of the characters, and it's the perfect length for small breaks during study sessions. the episodes don't have huge cliffhangers, so you enjoy each one like a little sweet chocolate haha >.<

i feel like we have more to know about the supporting characters, and i'll happily watch the second season if it ever comes out :)

where is season 2

i watched this last year, and honestly, as a high school student, i liked it very much, and because it was so light-hearted, i watched it when i felt stressed out because of exams and i just really like it. but it ended with such a cliffhanger, i need season 2

i don't know what to write anymore but apparently, to be able to submit this review i need 500 words so I'm just filling in. Park Ji Hoon is such a good actor, and after watching Love Revolution i realised he was a member of Wanna One, which is honestly amazing. i wanted to become their fan at one point, but they had already disbanded, and i knew i was gonna hirt lil. anyways, i like him as a solo sinver and actor so much, you should watch Weak Hero. he plays the main lead in that one, and he's just SO GOOD

All You Need Is Love.

I am spas-zing over some Korean school dramas that are very realistic. One is Love Revolution. Is it about this boy who is willing to give his all to this girl who is not giving him the time of day. He has a band of brothers who are also “Dateless in Korea”. However, when she does come around the drama explores very realistic interpersonal relationships among teens in the story arcs. You will find someone in the group of story arcs where you will say, “Yea. That’s Me”. It stars one of my favorite K-pop Artist/Actor Park Jihoon.

Story Arcs cover teen starving to lose weight, falling for you friends girlfriend or boyfriend, overlooking the great smart guy (because you go after the popular guy), teen fashion obsession, feeling like you will never get tall, parental abuse, and becoming part of the popular crowd.

A great/true coming of age funny drama

Just finished and I really enjoyed this one as it relates to event that happen in our lives. The cast did a amazing job portraying there characters. This drama was also funny and sometimes mad at the 2guy sidekick. It's about a boy who falls in love with a girl and he does everything to make her fall in love with him they go thru so many trials and misunderstanding. There is jealousy and one sided love in there group of 8 that makes you believe their is a 2nd season as some relationships arent solved and who is "Seok ho" at end of ep30.?

A Dog-Person and A Cat-Person Love Story

This is a drama based on webtoon of the same name, and I absolutely love this one. It's simple, cute and sweet, but not overly so. The cast and acting is on point, and I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that the actors were mainly rookies, because their characters were so natural and alive. The story follows their days in high school and their daily life: internet cafes, karaoke, dates with crush, going to cute cafes with friends, and generally just spending time together every time they could.

When you start, please keep in mind that this is a story about 17 year-olds and their school days.
It is a romance when you were 17, you met someone and shared a moment, then you started to feel your heartbeat quickened, and then you knew you liked them. And then they became your most important thing. It's not ambitious, it's new and exciting and hopeful.

Wang Jarim and Gong Juyoung are brilliant characters, and not just because their names literally translates into Prince and Princess, but because their personalities matches each other. They fill in each other's blanks.
Jarim is a cold but secretly warm, tough, tsundere, a cat-like person, while Juyoung is an openly affectionate, full of aegyo, clingy, a dog-like person.

(if you read Chinese novels, I would say Gong Juyoung reminds me of Luo Binghe, but without a dark side. at all He's a cute, big, protective puppy)

Besides the Wangja x Gongju couples, we also have the athletic and food-lover Oh Aram, handsome, friendly and a bit mysterious Lee Kyungwoo, nerdy Ahn Kyungmin, candidly funny Kim Byunghoon, outgoing Hong Jinhee, and Yang Minji. I have to admit, I like the main leads, but I tend to be drawn to Yang Minji. She's cute and loyal, as she's one of the most important people in helping the main leads get together, but when it comes to her own problems, she hides them. She chose to deal with them alone, which sometimes didn't go along well for her. She's actually really similar to Lee Kyungwoo, I feel like their story could be revealed further, as this drama ended without mentioning how their stories actually ends. Maybe there will be season 2? I don't know.

The conflicts in this drama is also not that heavy. There is a mention of violence, but it's pretty mild. There are also evil cameos, but they don't further complicates the plot more than 1-2 episodes. It is overall a light drama with a hint of angst and one-sided love (TW if it's your thing), and lots and lots of fluff, so I think this is a really good one.

The hardest I've thought about a rating I have made

Contrary to popular consensus, even though I could find faults in this drama, I liked it. So, let me tell you what irritated me so you can decide whether you want to watch it or not.

This drama is corny and cringy. I first watched this during exam stress almost 2 years ago, and liked it. Love Revolution was one of the first K-dramas I had watched after a 9-year break from K-dramas, and to me, it was decent, but I couldn't rate this drama. The other dramas I had watched (Twinkling Watermelon, My Demon, A Good Day to Be a Dog), I had no issues rating. Fast forward two years to 2025, a year that's already off to a good start in the K-drama department, and I still feel like this drama is hard to rate. The issue is mainly the cringy corniness. But it's as if I'm somehow immune to it when I watch this. This is objectively Park Ji Hoon's worst performance, but it's still watchable if you watch him in Weak Hero first, because then you understand that Ji Hoon is a capable actor. The story is weak after the initial episodes; the majority of the cast is hard to watch; the comedy is inconsistent but solid in some parts; the male lead is annoying to watch. But goddammit, this is the only K-drama I have completely rewatched from the first episode to the last. Overall, this drama is a bit overhated as well, but I get the frustration. The romance is too cold because they have tried to adapt the scenes in the webtoon without making them realistic to fit the real world, because no guy would date Ja Rim, and no girl would date Ju Yeong if this were realistic. (I'm not saying that every show must be realistic, but they could have easily toned down the characters a bit, but didn't, which resulted in flat, 2-dimensional, colourless characters that feel way over the top)

But hey, you forget most of this stuff after like the 5th episode, but if you want to ditch it, I won't blame it either.

TL;DR - The show is decent; the acting is weak except for Park Ji Hoon's, but he's annoying to watch; they have tried to apply these webtoon characters into the real world without attempting to make them human. But I still liked it - I don't know why. Maybe it's because it's lighthearted.

Prequel to Weak Hero Class 1

I now know where he got all that angst from in his younger years. He used up all that was good in this series and what's left was the quiet violent anti hero you can't stop watching.

Nothing else to say. not sure why I need 500 characters to say more.
