Sam Saeng tries to meet up with Dong Wu before she leaves Seoul only to find out that Dong Wu has joined the army. After hearing of the news, she heads to the mountains alone. Bong Mu Ryong visits Mak Nye's home after hearing from Oh In Su that Sam Saeng has left Seoul after contracting lung disease, but Sam Saeng's family had already left for someplace else. Geum Ok writes to Ji Seong several times and Dong Wu mails his letters to Sam Saeng not knowing that she has left Oh In Su's home. Meanwhile, Sam Saeng falls from the mountain while digging herbs and ends up meeting a master of Taoism. (Source: KBS WORLD TV)
