1973, three years later. Mak Nye's family is able to rent a room in Pil Sun's home with the help of Bong Mu Ryong but Pil Sun is very upset about it. She accepts only at the request of Bong Mu Ryong. Geum Ok greets Ji Seong warmly after he is discharged from the military but unlike the past, Ji Seong is cold to her. Dong Wu, who is also discharged from the army, longs for Sam Saeng who hasn't been in contact. Yun Hui begs Chang Sik about meeting his parents but he keeps putting it off. Meanwhile, Sam Saeng learns much about Oriental medicine from Mr. Hwang and leaves the mountain after being treated of her illness. (Source: KBS WORLD TV)
