In both dramas the wealthy leads hire people from the country side to marry them without knowing their full backgrounds; in order to trick their fathers who have imposed preposterous conditions for their marriage. The fake spouses are both looked down upon by their wealthy fathers in-laws and other family members who see them as ignorant, uneducated people of low social status.
