Give it a chance and watch at least three eps, even if you're sceptical regarding the humor-style!
Ooooooooookay, I have a lot to say about this.First of all: this can't be anything else than a 10 out of 10.
Yes, I have to admit, while watching the first episode, I really didn't know what to think about it. Just because it is sometimes soo much over the top that it seems unrealistic and ridiculous. But against my better judgement, this style grew a lot on me and even became one of the reasons why I fell so much in love with this show. This humor made the gruel scenes bearable and I enjoyed each of Vincenzo's & Cha-Young's wins against the antagonists way too much. I also can't tell how often I had to laugh out loud or said "bro you're dead meat now", everytime the villains did something stupid.
Careful, spoilers ahead!!!
Now to the characters, starting with the bad guys. And ladies.
I LOVED how they were revealed and you couldn't tell right from the beginning, who was one of them at all. Of course, our main baddie was quite the surprise, but I wasn't even sure about lady right-hand in the beginning. And then there that a**hole lawer we thought we liked, or Cho Young-woon, the Geumga Plaza manager, who was suposed to be a friend. An even better twist, that he changed sides again and ended up fighting for Vincenzo.
The same goes of course for our baby, Jang Han-Seo, who was a bit of a pabo, but an adorable one. I really loved his character development and it was so sad, that he had to die. But, it made sense for the history, everything else would have been weird. He betrayed his brother and we know he would punish him for that, there always has to be a loss at some point. At least he protected our main leads and died as a dongsaeng to Vincenzo, that was really heartwarming. Also the death of his mother, Ms. Oh was expected and I'm sure she knew that he was her son when she died.
I loved all of the Geumga-Plaza family, every single one. Even the nutria, who was also one of the villains in the beginning. The same with our detective Ahn Gi-seok, he was just too funny. I won't write all of their names down, but I have to add that it was a pleasant surpise that Mr. Lee actually survived. Two very small things tho: I would have loved to see Vincenzo just onces as a godfather of baby Dae-ri, and once enjoying the food of our cook Toto. What a shame...
Coming to our Protagonists now.
They were the best, like, at all. Not good people, by all means, they had to become monsters in order to punish the devil, but they had the greatest chemistry, great arcs and character development, were a little crazy and just funny. I loved the very-slow-burn and that there was no focus on their romance, but it developed naturally. From kind of enemies to friends to lovers, the perfect, hilarious (and dangerous) couple.
I'm sure I'm gonna rewatch that show at some point, this is as great as The Devil Judge (just not that dark emotional, but instead on the lighter, funny side, which is not bad, just different.)

Absolutely Solid
I thoroughly enjoyed this show from start to finish! There wasn't a dull moment for me and I was constantly entertained and figuring out what was going to happen next!To put it simply, it's an 8/10 rather than a 10/10 because of 4 things:
-1 = If you didn't want me rooting for, supporting, and defending the Big Villain, then why make him ten times hotter than Vincenzo??? I'm sorry, I spent the entire show hoping he'd win. Vincenzo wasn't even interesting until he went full mafia after his momma died.
-0.5 = The absolutely unnecessary romance between our two MCs -- so forced and a waste of time.
-0.5 = Coulda cut out 80% of the Apartment Residence' stuff and made the show a nice 16 episodes rather than risky 20.
But, like I said I enjoyed the main plot and story beats so much, and thoroughly enjoyed every single episode.

I loved
The "Vincenzo" series surprised me, because initially I found it very violent, but as it progressed I discovered violence with a fun twist. The humor "embedded" in the actions of some actors ended up making the violent scenes fun. A plot very rich in its details and with precise continuity and no holes. It contains several genres such as: action, humor, suspense, crime, mystery, family conflicts, persecution and revenge,... and even "simple" love, but LOVE. An impeccable performance by Song Joong Ki (Vincenzo) a Korean lawyer who works for the Italian mafia and Jeon Yeo Been (Hong Chan-you)...also a lawyer. They form a relentless and enviable duo. A very striking soundtrack. At the end of each episode, there is excitement and anxiety waiting for the next episode. Despite being "in love" with Korean romantic dramas, I was surprised by wanting a 2nd season of VINCENZO. Congratulations to South Korea and everyone involved in the series. Was this review helpful to you?
ONE OF THE BEST KDRAMA
Literally watched this in two days, one of my favs kdrama’s. I would really recommend, the acting, the idea everything was so interesting and I was so invested in it . the end was perfect to, really happy that I watched it and it deserves more fame because definitely a work of art. The acting was great, but as a european at start I found the main female acting really cringe😭it was so strange she jumped, screamed and more, like idk later she was okay, ofc Vincenzo was handsome the whole series and carried ( best mafia ever🫡) again I would definitely recommend, will be rewatching soon myself🤞Was this review helpful to you?

Vincenzo Cassanova is The New Standard
This series is totally exceptional! Honestly, it is rare to find crime drama like this nowadays. The story is outstandingly well written. The tense is high from the very first, and yet the writer manages to keep it up for 20 episodes (additionally, each episodes are very long). It constantly brings us through a roller coaster journey of a war between two "mafia gangs". We are trapped in curiosity of how Vincenzo manages to solve a problem, how Han-Seok will respond or what will come next against Vincenzo. It is good that the writer depicts Vincenzo as an experienced mafia with full of knowledge while his opponent is just a newbie gang trying to act as a mafia, surrounded by people who also doesn't have any knowledge about mafia. Vincenzo is a thoughful and strategic person whose unstopabble and rarely makes mistake.Song Joong-Ki and Jeon Yeo-Been play both main characters excellently. But apart from them, the other leads are having more oustanding job. Taecyon deserves a shout out after playing a character with two full contradictory personalities, a total dumb intern and a heinous psychopath. Kim Yeo-Jin also plays her character excellently, being a person who is ruthless and greedy. She really gives the spirit to Myung-Hee as someone who doesn't ever want to stop before getting what she wants. Jo Han-Chul depicts a goofy but opportunistic law firm director. Last but not least, Kwak Dong-Yeon does a really great job picturing someone who is stuck between his desire to do a revenge and threat received from his brother. Additionally, the character of An Gi-Seok is totally hilarious.
On the contrary, I am pretty disappointed on how the writer depicts Hong Cha-Young. I am expecting her to become furious and ruthless after losing her father and promising to Vincenzo, but to me she is still too delicate. As the result, her act is occasionally covered by the heroic acts coming from the Geumga Plaza residents. I was expecting to see a show between two partners against the evil, but what we actually get is Vincenzo and his gang fighting against the bad.
Unfortunately, even the unrealistic premise has the tolerance limit. The scene of Vincenzo being saved by the pigeons is total garbage. It looks like this scene is secretly added by an intern. Also I heard that originally this series is set to be 16 episodes. We can notice the story quality drop for the last 4 episodes, even though it's not destructive.
The soundtrack is good, even though they rarely play it. Moreover, I totally enjoy the scores. It sounds like an elegant opera. To conclude this review, this series is incredibly masterpiece. I may take a while for us to see something like this again because maybe Vincenzo is the new standard of this type of KDrama.

This series is definitely worth watching.
I absolutely LOVED this drama. It had the perfect balance of humour and action/violence, and there were many genuinely laugh-out-loud moments starting from the first episode. I had previously only seen Song Joongki in Descendants of the Sun, and while he was amazing there too, he has grown and matured so much as an actor. As the character Vincenzo, he COMMANDS respect and attention.Overall, I would be lying if I said I didn’t have more to say about this drama because I could keep going on and on. Every character has portrayed their role in such an exemplary manner, down to the damn pigeon.

It's surprisingly easy to bange for the amount of episodes it has.
At first I thought I wouldn't like Vincenzo because it just didn't appeal to me. But after a few episodes, it became very addictive. It has a good plot, the actors play their roles amazingly well and the story behind each character is well thought out.It has the perfect balance of action, comedy and romance.
The balance between the mafia plot and the lawyer plot was perfectly executed.
I also really liked the character development of the main characters.
The side characters were also very entertaining and were actually found to be important in the story.
I think the cinematography was very nicely done.

Super
I’ve watched this movie 3 times, I think it great, all the actors , strong male lead ( handsome and sassy co- lead gal, very pretty)…super, a tad of dirt on the floor… this will happen.Really nice to see the sassy one is accredited with tons of smarts and can deliver… I see so many movies that the female in lead position is either so timid or shown as totally dumb … it’s very refreshing to see a sassy, communicative, heart included in the role . The script dictates, but a rethink may be a positive, just a nice thought. Many thanks to the actors and writers.

The Best Crime-Dark Comedy Drama I've Ever Watched
If Flower of Evil is the best Crime-Romance drama ever, I would like to put Vincenzo in the "best crime-dark comedy drama" category. It deserved to be in the top Korean dramas.Pros:
- Song Joong Ki. Yeah, I know most ppl anticipated this drama because SJK is the main lead. But, I have to admit that he's really good at playing in comedy-dramas.
- The comedy is always on point. It will make you laugh in every episode.
- The twists are so smooth that you can barely notice them and they're always wrapped with comedy.
- It shakes your entire(?) body. It heats your anger up.
- It actually tells about psychopaths without putting it in the drama's main topic so no one realized that this is a psycho-drama.
- The plot is so solid that it satisfies me. No duration-eater crying and romance scenes. I love how romance being the least portion of the drama genre. Many crime/action dramas are overshadowed by romance scenes and it's terribly annoying.
- I don't speak Italian, but the Italian words used in this drama are really ear-blessing 😂 I would like to learn those words too!
- I usually watch a drama because there's/re my fav actress, but Jeon Yeobin really stole my heart in this drama. I honestly think there's no other actress who could fit the role. She's not cool and badass enough, but I think that is to balance the action and comedy aspects. If her character is the same as SJK's, the comedy won't blend well with the crime-action aspects.
Cons:
- Ep 19 will make you facepalming 🤦♂️The most common mistake in the action drama, just like what happened in Flower of Evil.
- The anticlimax plot is too short/too fast that I found it unsatisfying.
- The romance scenes in the last episode are unnecessary tbh.

High quality drama with an incredible cast
The plot of this drama is amazing, and so are the score and the action sequences, but the best part of it is most definitely the cast! It has so many supporting characters, yet all of them get their time to shine and somehow have an important role in the main story.Every single scene with the tenants was so wholesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed the villains as well. I was so impressed with Taecyeon's acting in this - after watching "Bring It On, Ghost", I was expecting something simple, with either very few facial expressions or weakly executed ones. But I am confident this role is a massive turning point in his career, as he was PHENOMENAL in it. Naturally, so was Song Joong Ki, but he proved himself long ago.
Vincenzo had several moments that were tough to watch. There are many deaths, a lot of blood and overall cruelty, so I couldn't really binge watch it. I also expected more romance than I got (fair warning: this drama has close to zero romance), but its value isn't in that anyway, so it didn't make a difference to me. My mother and a few friends also watched it, and we all agree it's an excellent drama.

"Romance"
I had heard a lot about this drama when it first aired the first episodes, but I usually wait until all episodes are out and that was what I did time as well.It is not often that I watch the trailer or read the description of the drama, I didn't this time eihter.
But there are a few things I do want to know, and I do scim through some recensations.
I just wanted to share something I would have liked to know about this drama.
That would have made my experience watching it more enioyable.
I feel like the information I found about the "romance" in the drama was misleading and it made me annoyed at times.
It had a lot of potential, it could have been really good, but now I feel pretty disappointed when I finished it.
I think there was great chemistry, there were a few teasers, but the season was 20 episodes long and there was only 2 kiss scenes.
So don't go in to this drama expecting romance because that is not what it's about at all.
(I truly liked the characters/the actors, it was entertaining)
(I haven't ever rewatched a drama yet, so that rating has nothing to do with the k-drama itself)
