AMAZINGG

This is one of the drama that makes you love them through humor, action, and entertainment. The emotions, chemistry and the duo between the two main leads are amazing. The whole team of vincenzo is amazing though, especially as it progresses. Seeing there bond become closer and closer is an amazing.

I'm... I'm speechless

I've literally just finished this so apologies if this review is a bit all over the place, I might come back to edit this in the future. But for now-

Wtf was this show.

I'll be honest I attempted to watch it twice before this. Each time I only got a few episodes in and both times I just didn't get it. I couldn't see why it was so popular. Either way the kdrama subreddit had a post asking for shows they dropped, tried again and loved. Vincenzo was commented and said to just get to like ep3/4 then it really picks up. I was like okay lets try it again. And honestly thank God I did.

First thoughts in the aftermath of the finale... I sobbed at Han-Seo's death. Like actually cried. I didn't realise how much I was growing to love his character until like ep17 when he switched sides and began to help Vincenzo. Then it was seeing how much he didn't want anyone else to get hurt, how willing he was to help and showed genuine growth in trying to better himself and became smarter to run Babel. And his friendship was Vincenzo was so sweet. I am crushed that he didn't get a happy ending. He deserved one after all that he went through and his finale words asking if he did well broke me. Han-Seo is the definition of deserved better and he is probably my favourite character of this entire show.

Now onto Han-Seok. Taecyeon acted the hell out of this role and I have to say he was my favourite actor in this show. He managed to absolutely pull of the crazy and the downright unnerving nature that Han-Seok's character needed. I cannot sing my praises about him enough. Honestly might have to check out 2pm because I have that much respect for what he achieved. Han-Seok as a villian is probably my favourite villian to date. I loved the direction of introducing him as this weird, lovable intern and the end of ep4 threw me off. After that his scenes were so much fun to watch whenever he was pretending as Jun-woo because I'd just watch for his reactions, to see a slip of the real personality and it just made the show that much more enjoyable and Han-Seok as a character compelling to watch. A fantastic villian right until the end.

Vincenzo weirdly grew on me more as the show went on and I'm not going to lie, the moment he started going full Mafia was when I was truly loved his character. His scenes were absolutely brutal and so satisfying in that last episode, they deserved all that they got and more so it was great to see Han-Seok get what he deserved, especially for his brother. Vincenzo was a great main character and Joong-ki pulled off the role so well and credit where credits due because he nailed the personality of Vincenzo to a tee.

Cha-young is a complicated character for me, she really annoyed me in the first few episodes and even by the end she wasn't my favourite character by a mile but I enjoyed her scenes and she did somewhat grow on me by the end. I'm glad she become a successful lawyer and I do like her and Vincenzo together. Also, the side characters were great and I loved all of them in their individual way.

A bit of a long review as the overall rating may go up as the more I think about it but honestly this was such a well produced show with incredibly talented actors and actresses and I enjoyed every minute of it. Once again thank you to that kdrama subreddit and shout out to Han-Seo (you deserved the world) and Taecyeon for being an incredible Han-Seok!

A really good crime drama with comedy, great storyline <33(taecyeon s acting was top notch)

First of all I'll start it off with that I LOVED this drama ngl, yeah it might boring a little in between so not binge worthy but the drama blew me away, it absolutely exceeded my expectations, I got so much from the drama when I thought It going to be mid, if your looking for romance in this drama. It is there but it's a side aspect. Bro taecyeon ✨✨ nahh he literally carried the entire show, he looked so hot as a villian, the way he could switch between two completely different personalities was mind blowing. He acting was so good that it made me love him even though he's the villain. If you don't know taecyeon in the behind the scenes was such a cutie and just like a child and all, but as soon as the cameras started rolling he switched to a complete different person.
The drama had a great storyline, it was really entertaining, and full of excitement, mystery.

Overall I strongly recommend this drama whether u r a crime or not a crime lover✨<33

One of the best k dramas ever!!

Why did I wait so long to watch this perfection? It took me ages to get into. I started last year and dropped it after 2 episodes. I picked it up 2 months ago and stopped after episode 4 when her dad died. I finally continued last week and was addicted!! 😍😂 One of the BEST KDRAMAS EVER!!!

The sIow burning was burning, but it was perfection! I am absolutely in love with them. Absolute icons. The way he fell first and hader made me crazy 😍😍 One of the best tropes! The fake dating scene turned proposal to that kiss. I WAS SCREAMING!! We only had 2 kiss scenes together. I wanted their dating era so much! The open ending annoyed me, but his confession was everything!!! 😭😫🤌🤭🥺💙 OMG they were absolutely chaotic and funny and cute and perfect together, and I just can't get over them 😭😍😫😭🥺

I did not see the plot twist coming. Never expected who the Babel CEO was. I hated him so much after the reveal. And the brother. OMG the brother DID NOT deserve that ending. I am so mad about that. Also Vincenzo 's mother. Like why?!? And her father before she could ever apologise for her last words and had to live with the guilt. At least Vincenzo's mother found out about him. Ugh the amount of trauma in this show. I cried so much 😭😭🥺😫😭 But Babel and Wusang got what they deserved.

I love the plaza residents though. The Cassano family is chaotic, hilarious, and perfect 😂😂💙 I was so shocked when we found out about all of their background. I could never have guessed. And Ingazhi is an ICON! 😂😍😂🤌 Edits are keeping me fed for now but will definitely be rewatching 😊

Shocking!

It took me a while to begin this drama because reviews were mixed and also because the episode length. I have to say that from my point of view, Vincenzo really delivered, right from the first episode.

Loved the first scenes shot in Italy and even though I'm not an native Italian speaker, I appreciate Song Joong Ki's commitment to speaking Italian, sounded good to me! 20 episodes might be a lot but the characters and the way the episodes flow make this show so watchable. Also the humor moments were well thought. The cinematography was gorgeous.

Acting was amazing. Song Joong Ki's acting was as always flawless, Never saw Jeon Yeo Bin in a drama before, but I really liked her! Kim Yeo Jin was great but the most surprising to me was Taecyeon. At first I thought he's going to be just a supporting role but I was so wrong. I didn't expect the duality from his character to be acted so good by him! Supporting characters were great too!

OST was so well chosen.

I would definitely watch this again!

Exhilarating!

This has got to be one of the best kdramas ever. The acting, the directing, the music...it has been such an awesome experience. There have been so many highs and lows. Watching Vincenzo go from sorrowful son to cold killer just shows the skillful acting abilities of this actor. As always the ending of ep 17 has left me gasping for air. Of course there are not enough words to describe the supporting cast. Every one has played their role to perfection. Even the music is noteworthy. There are only 3 episodes left and of course we are hoping to see Vincenzo and his crew step off in style. All I can say is wow wow wow….I loved it. It’s a dark comedy so when it was dark it was really dark but I think that is part of the overall appeal. I laughed, I cried , I cringed and got angry. It was like
riding a rollercoaster. Personally I never liked roller coasters but this was one ride I fully enjoyed. Kudos to the ml who I adore and to the entire production team.

Give it a chance and watch at least three eps, even if you're sceptical regarding the humor-style!

Ooooooooookay, I have a lot to say about this.
First of all: this can't be anything else than a 10 out of 10.
Yes, I have to admit, while watching the first episode, I really didn't know what to think about it. Just because it is sometimes soo much over the top that it seems unrealistic and ridiculous. But against my better judgement, this style grew a lot on me and even became one of the reasons why I fell so much in love with this show. This humor made the gruel scenes bearable and I enjoyed each of Vincenzo's & Cha-Young's wins against the antagonists way too much. I also can't tell how often I had to laugh out loud or said "bro you're dead meat now", everytime the villains did something stupid.

Careful, spoilers ahead!!!

Now to the characters, starting with the bad guys. And ladies.
I LOVED how they were revealed and you couldn't tell right from the beginning, who was one of them at all. Of course, our main baddie was quite the surprise, but I wasn't even sure about lady right-hand in the beginning. And then there that a**hole lawer we thought we liked, or Cho Young-woon, the Geumga Plaza manager, who was suposed to be a friend. An even better twist, that he changed sides again and ended up fighting for Vincenzo.
The same goes of course for our baby, Jang Han-Seo, who was a bit of a pabo, but an adorable one. I really loved his character development and it was so sad, that he had to die. But, it made sense for the history, everything else would have been weird. He betrayed his brother and we know he would punish him for that, there always has to be a loss at some point. At least he protected our main leads and died as a dongsaeng to Vincenzo, that was really heartwarming. Also the death of his mother, Ms. Oh was expected and I'm sure she knew that he was her son when she died.
I loved all of the Geumga-Plaza family, every single one. Even the nutria, who was also one of the villains in the beginning. The same with our detective Ahn Gi-seok, he was just too funny. I won't write all of their names down, but I have to add that it was a pleasant surpise that Mr. Lee actually survived. Two very small things tho: I would have loved to see Vincenzo just onces as a godfather of baby Dae-ri, and once enjoying the food of our cook Toto. What a shame...
Coming to our Protagonists now.
They were the best, like, at all. Not good people, by all means, they had to become monsters in order to punish the devil, but they had the greatest chemistry, great arcs and character development, were a little crazy and just funny. I loved the very-slow-burn and that there was no focus on their romance, but it developed naturally. From kind of enemies to friends to lovers, the perfect, hilarious (and dangerous) couple.
I'm sure I'm gonna rewatch that show at some point, this is as great as The Devil Judge (just not that dark emotional, but instead on the lighter, funny side, which is not bad, just different.)

Absolutely Solid

I thoroughly enjoyed this show from start to finish! There wasn't a dull moment for me and I was constantly entertained and figuring out what was going to happen next!

To put it simply, it's an 8/10 rather than a 10/10 because of 4 things:
-1 = If you didn't want me rooting for, supporting, and defending the Big Villain, then why make him ten times hotter than Vincenzo??? I'm sorry, I spent the entire show hoping he'd win. Vincenzo wasn't even interesting until he went full mafia after his momma died.
-0.5 = The absolutely unnecessary romance between our two MCs -- so forced and a waste of time.
-0.5 = Coulda cut out 80% of the Apartment Residence' stuff and made the show a nice 16 episodes rather than risky 20.

But, like I said I enjoyed the main plot and story beats so much, and thoroughly enjoyed every single episode.

I loved

The "Vincenzo" series surprised me, because initially I found it very violent, but as it progressed I discovered violence with a fun twist. The humor "embedded" in the actions of some actors ended up making the violent scenes fun. A plot very rich in its details and with precise continuity and no holes. It contains several genres such as: action, humor, suspense, crime, mystery, family conflicts, persecution and revenge,... and even "simple" love, but LOVE. An impeccable performance by Song Joong Ki (Vincenzo) a Korean lawyer who works for the Italian mafia and Jeon Yeo Been (Hong Chan-you)...also a lawyer. They form a relentless and enviable duo. A very striking soundtrack. At the end of each episode, there is excitement and anxiety waiting for the next episode. Despite being "in love" with Korean romantic dramas, I was surprised by wanting a 2nd season of VINCENZO. Congratulations to South Korea and everyone involved in the series.

ONE OF THE BEST KDRAMA

Literally watched this in two days, one of my favs kdrama’s. I would really recommend, the acting, the idea everything was so interesting and I was so invested in it . the end was perfect to, really happy that I watched it and it deserves more fame because definitely a work of art. The acting was great, but as a european at start I found the main female acting really cringe😭it was so strange she jumped, screamed and more, like idk later she was okay, ofc Vincenzo was handsome the whole series and carried ( best mafia ever🫡) again I would definitely recommend, will be rewatching soon myself🤞

Vincenzo Cassanova is The New Standard

This series is totally exceptional! Honestly, it is rare to find crime drama like this nowadays. The story is outstandingly well written. The tense is high from the very first, and yet the writer manages to keep it up for 20 episodes (additionally, each episodes are very long). It constantly brings us through a roller coaster journey of a war between two "mafia gangs". We are trapped in curiosity of how Vincenzo manages to solve a problem, how Han-Seok will respond or what will come next against Vincenzo. It is good that the writer depicts Vincenzo as an experienced mafia with full of knowledge while his opponent is just a newbie gang trying to act as a mafia, surrounded by people who also doesn't have any knowledge about mafia. Vincenzo is a thoughful and strategic person whose unstopabble and rarely makes mistake.

Song Joong-Ki and Jeon Yeo-Been play both main characters excellently. But apart from them, the other leads are having more oustanding job. Taecyon deserves a shout out after playing a character with two full contradictory personalities, a total dumb intern and a heinous psychopath. Kim Yeo-Jin also plays her character excellently, being a person who is ruthless and greedy. She really gives the spirit to Myung-Hee as someone who doesn't ever want to stop before getting what she wants. Jo Han-Chul depicts a goofy but opportunistic law firm director. Last but not least, Kwak Dong-Yeon does a really great job picturing someone who is stuck between his desire to do a revenge and threat received from his brother. Additionally, the character of An Gi-Seok is totally hilarious.

On the contrary, I am pretty disappointed on how the writer depicts Hong Cha-Young. I am expecting her to become furious and ruthless after losing her father and promising to Vincenzo, but to me she is still too delicate. As the result, her act is occasionally covered by the heroic acts coming from the Geumga Plaza residents. I was expecting to see a show between two partners against the evil, but what we actually get is Vincenzo and his gang fighting against the bad.

Unfortunately, even the unrealistic premise has the tolerance limit. The scene of Vincenzo being saved by the pigeons is total garbage. It looks like this scene is secretly added by an intern. Also I heard that originally this series is set to be 16 episodes. We can notice the story quality drop for the last 4 episodes, even though it's not destructive.

The soundtrack is good, even though they rarely play it. Moreover, I totally enjoy the scores. It sounds like an elegant opera. To conclude this review, this series is incredibly masterpiece. I may take a while for us to see something like this again because maybe Vincenzo is the new standard of this type of KDrama.
