The Red Sleeve
Excerpts from the interview with Jung Ji In re: most memorable scene, consumes, and thought process behind hapbang scene. This user combined the text with visuals, so pretty.

Loved the reason why she added the morning after hapbang. It was just them, man and wife loving each other, not the bedding to make her a concubine by the King which was the choice of the night before.

Right? So intimate, it was beautiful. And good call on the disrobing harkening back to that other scene. I hadn't thought of that, but maybe on a binge watch it would've been more jarring.
Posting here a few more links because I had to chase them down and it's easier to find them here :D

This made me cry all over again. “In the end, their choices led them to each other, and that itself is probably enough proof for their true feelings.” (Talking Cupboard)

I don't get tired of peeling this crying onion back

It’s funny because in an interview she said she personally would have accepted if confessed to like Jeongjo did, but it’s a different time and she has more than Doek-Im did in Joseon. I just can’t stop saying how much I love both their acting in TRS. Junho with the dynamic emotions and Seyoung with the subtle expressions just creates this perfect tandem that’s a director’s dream, especially in a drama that depicts class hierarchy.

Agreed! The court lady had to be demure and hide her feelings (that no one cared about, except, ironically, the king). It made the push and pull very engaging

I don’t think most of us are tired of peeling back the onion. It’s one of those dramas that I don’t think I’ll ever fully let go of, like some of my favorite novels that I’ll reread every now and then. JLML718 did 101 subbed videos for it and is still writing up stuff on Jeongjo on IG. I’ll take it all :p
A few tidbits on production - Junho didn't know the contents of Deok Im’s box when he opened it on 17

The details of everything in this drama again…down to placement of their shoes depict status differences.

‘Great casting once again…they do look like siblings. Seyoung and her hilarity on the set of Crowned Clown, since she couldn’t be a female extra because she was the FL, became a male extra to keep from being bored.
