Funny, fresh and professional, Love it!

After several years of BL Dramas I thought nothing could surprise me, but this one has completely blown me away. The first few episodes are absolutely hillarious. The setting of a guy surrounded by gay men who fancy him while he doesn't notice anything would be great for a sitcom.

Acting: Khaotung is phantastic, it's a pleasure to watch the emotions he can show with just his face, especially his eyes. There is a lot of overacting going on with the other actors, but in this series it adds to the fun. What had surprised me was the choice of Pod for the part of the 'straight' man because he looks very gay to me. He does a good job though.

Story: The story starts off great, but in the second half of the series it goes a bit too straight forward and even feels rushed towards the end.

Characters: I like it that the main character is allowed to be slightly feminine. I find it sad in all those series that only the straight acting guys find love whilst the feminine gays are there just for fun or for bitching. And what I really love about Chonlatee is that he is cute but not at all helpless. He even can get very fierce.

Big Plus: The series managed to avoid product placement nearly completely!

Very cute series.

This was a very cute series! I really liked it. I’m not going to go into others’ reviews, and try and dispute all the problems they had with the series. Honestly, typically the lower the majority of people rate a show, the more I like it. To each their own. I loved the characters, and Podd was very good in “Dark Blue Kiss” also, so I enjoyed seeing him again in this series. I loved the chemistry between Tonhon and Chonlatee. Did their relationship have problems, and at times was problematic? Yes! But isn’t that the backbone requirement for every BL?! Chon’s mother was amazing, and parenting goals! I loved how supportive she was, and fought for her baby’s right to love whomever he wanted! I also loved seeing Toptap (Ai) and Mike (Ni) in this series, too! They are so cute and loving together. Miriam’s story was also fantastic, and I loved her friendship with the guys who saved her! The ending of this series is one of the most wholesome, heartwarming, and beautiful endings I’ve seen in a BL, and I couldn’t stop smiling the entire last episode! I loved it. I say ignore the haters, and watch this series for yourself!

This series is just like any other boy love series. If you're in for the cliché, go for it.

Do not read any other review. They are spoilers and put things in a negative light and are contradicted if you pay attention to the story. You'll need to watch the full thing to understand better. Watch the series yourself and you'll get your own opinions.

I honestly loved this story. The love between the two main characters and the way their personal backstories tie everything together. I just can't get enough of it. All the missing holes gets filled in the last two episodes and it will seriously take most of the negative thoughts you had away. I wish I could say more without spoiling.

Much better than I thought it would be

The reviews for this series made me put it on the back burner for a long time which is unfortunate because this was a good series in my opinion.

While I understand and can appreciate that it's not everyone's cup of tea, I don't think it deserves such negativity. Is the story groundbreakingly original? No. Is the acting stellar? Not really. Is it entertaining? One-thousand percent yes.

Story-wise, we've seen this a million times before: childhood friends where one harbors a secret crush on the other and they part ways only to meet again as young adults. Through a series of obstacles, they finally reveal their deepest feelings for each other and overcome all adversaries together.

Acting-wise, while it wasn't the best, I did very much enjoy the main cast's performances, especially where the comedy was concerned. Mike, Toptap and Khao all had fantastic facial expressions, especially when reacting to something someone else had said or done. Ton's parents and Amp were a bit over the top though I guess that was mainly done to emphasize their role as a hurdle in the main couple's relationship. Thankfully, they didn't have all that much screentime overall. Also, while I absolutely LOVE Jan, I wasn't a huge fan of her character here as I found her a bit annoying at times though still lovable in that way you love a good friend but can only take them in small doses.

Na was probably my favorite character after Ai and Nai as a couple. When he's first introduced, it seems like he will be yet another scheming bad guy who tried to get Chon but he ends up being the most selfless and best of friends to Chon and the group. (Side note: I watched this after watching Only Friends and it was super weird to see Neo like this after playing such a character as Boston but it was also a reminder at how talented Neo actually is.)

Speaking of comparing to other series, I'd seen Mama Gogo which had a lot of these actors in it and found it to have a similar form of hilarity to the characters. Especially Mike, Toptap and Pod and their interactions with each other. I also found it hilarious that when they went to the bar in the second episode and there was a dance competition, 3 out of the 4 of them will go on to play strippers and yet the 4th one is the one who dances and wins the competition. Then at the end, Mike and Toptap do a body roll and I'm like "Aaaaand there it is!"

Anyway, getting off topic..

Overall, this was a highly enjoyable watch and I would encourage more people to watch it, especially for the many laughs that I got out of it.

It did not try hard... and that is okay.

I feel like your liking of this drama is going to depend on what other dramas you have previously seen.

TC was a very simple drama with nothing too crazy to find unique or memorable. However, because I have seen other dramas that have failed due to intricate stories with confusing writing and plenty of plot holes, the simplicity of this one was appreciated.

~ Story:
Simple and clear. Anyone could write a story like this, but that doesn't make it bad. I found myself enjoying it a lot more thanks to that specific fact. The writing was decent, the pacing was decent, there was not too much going on focusing mostly on the most relevant and necessary parts of the story for a clear understanding of the events. Honestly, you're not going to find a drama that's clearer to understand than this one.

~Cast:
Decent. I feel like all these actor learned in the same acting school because I don't know how many times I've seen the exact same reactions.

Tonhon/Chonlatee: I liked them. They both had good chemistry and most of their acting came out somewhat natural. I think Khao did better than Pod, but it was them together what made their best moments.

Ai/Ni: Good support couple. They came directly from 2gether, so their chemistry was the best of the entire drama. What I like the most about this series is that these support couples had enough screen time but no separate plot. Their story was just part of the same main plot, which made it more coherent with everything else. Toptap is the love of my life and seeing him on screen fills me with joy. He needs a lead role, y'all.

Female characters were actually really good too. I like that their place within the story was solid and didn't shake even at the end. They remained strong throughout the whole thing.

~Final episode:
Probably the worst thing about this drama. It was so terribly cliche that I had to stop watching for a while because I couldn't take the cringe of it all. Tonhon's father is such a terrible actor that almost gave me nausea.

All in all, this is a decent drama. If you're looking for a very simple, low budget, and cute story with equal levels of fanservice and plot, then this is totally for you.

I laughed with gusto many times. How to perceive this series must be in the person himself (he must understand Asia) to distinguish the subtlety of the playback here, which is brought here in a spicy form deliberately sometimes to the point of pie creation and complements the overall comic, from some other Asian productions, where naivety, the snobbery or the twistedness is too much for non-Asian viewers. Those who don't get it will condemn the series unnecessarily, but that's their business, not mine. The main thing is that everything has not slipped into a set of "western" sitcoms, when the viewer is "forced" to laugh at every stupid thing in the form of constantly imposed "laughing viewers". Here, the viewer is left with room to consider how to react. This excellent Thai part just ended in January 2021 and I can only write that it was a really nice experience.
Both main characters here are very original. A frail and youthful looking Chonlatee and a sporty type Tonhon with a chest tattoo (which has a meaning in the story - Navigator vs. Ocean). In addition to light entertainment, deeper thoughts also appear in the series, e.g. in one of the late episodes, Chonlatee's mother Nam literally flashes in an argument: "...BETTER TO BE HATED FOR WHAT YOU ARE THAN TO BE LOVED FOR WHAT YOU ARE NOT... .” and I also appreciate the overall message, the attitude towards men who like men, which certainly has an impact on the audience.
The two other gay characters Ai and Nhai (Ni) are also excellent, and the girls Miriam and Pang also contributed to the good fun. There are quite a few fans of these series here at GT, and I definitely recommend this piece to them.

Consitpation

Looking for something where they ravage each other and provide sexual content? TURN BACK! Looking for something with an amazing storyline/plot? LEAVE NOW! Looking for something so cheesy you'll get constipated af? LOOK NO FURTHER!
As an experienced BL fan I've seen it all...the good, bad and ugly. It wasn't necessarily "bad" I think the cheesiness and the rush of suddenly everything going in every direction it shouldn't, is mind blowing. It has it's cute and funny moments of course and there's sweetness with sadness. It had potential but I don't feel the MC had good chemistry. I wouldn't recommend for someone starting into the BL World but I guess it's decent enough to watch. I actually liked it more in the beginning then suddenly it went into the abyss then came back up but shot to the stars and crashed landed in a black hole. The ending tho is...satisfying?
To each their own....

very mixed feelings on this one :/

I found this to be very entertaining and it only took me two days to watch the whole thing (which is fast for me). compared to other gmmtv bls, which I find a bit slow most of the time. I also really liked the side characters and how we had positive female characters, and didn't just relegate them to the villains of the story. Pang and Miriam, I <3 you

unfortunately I'm not super happy with the messaging in this show. I personally prefer my queer media to exist in a fantasy land where homophobia doesn't exist, I know that isn't realistic and I know not every show is gonna do that. THIS show though... it's a doosy. for one, I HATED how Tonhon was so homophobic at the beginning. honestly unredeemable no matter how hard the show pushes for forgiveness when I don't think he has really learned anything. what kind of horrible environment are you creating where your three closest friends are scared to talk to you about themselves?? ridiculous. I also didn't like the whole stereotypical thing were he isn't gay, he's straight but happens to like just Chon. YOU ARE BI!!! there is more than two options babe.

I also HATE Ton's father and how both the show and characters excuse his behavior. he's a bigot, I don't care that he "isn't actually homophobic! he's known the whole time. he just wants an heir!" he's been spewing hate for years to such an extent it's messed his kids up! also. it's 2020 not 1900. Who cares about heirs and them having your last name. your daughter is gonna have kids probably so boom.

to end on a light note, Chon's ugly ass shirts 😭😭 he was having a breakdown and I couldnt help but laugh at his tie dye Minnie Mouse shirt!

Fun series to watch

I enjoyed this series a lot ...it has good chemistry and love the side characters. It has many moments that show great development and show how a couple from childhood friends grow to more. I liked how the story shows how the families and the characters grow to understand one another. The only real down part for me was the ending with the family forcing for a child. To me, that was a bit messed up. There were lots of funny moments and sad moments. Jealousy and lies but love and acceptance at the end. Overall a sweet series.

It could have been a better drama, the plot was too plain.
It could have been a bit more detailed and more graduated. Let's say it goes from one thing to another in 0.2 lol.
But all in all it was cute ( chon especially ) and above all funny
I really liked the supporting characters, in fact they helped

Simple and lovly story.. u should try it than depend on riviews..

Actually, this drama is good! I don’t know why it has so many bad reviews. There are a lot of boring dramas with nothing special, yet they get great reviews. So I must say — don’t depend too much on reviews. I’ve made that mistake before; I dropped some dramas because of bad reviews — especially TharnType. Many fans said negative things about it, so I thought it would be horrible. But when I finally decided to try it, it became one of my favorites!

The storyline isn’t new — it’s the same old theme — but I still love it. It’s just a relaxing, simple, lovely drama. The acting is also good — not perfect, but definitely not bad. So I think you should at least try watching one or two episodes and then decide for yourself.

Utterly ridiculous but I loved it

I clicked on this simply because I'm slowly falling in love with Khaotung and I wanted more of him on my screen. This is the first time I have been really surprised by a below average rated show. I was prepared for nonsense but little did I realise that I would find the nonsense really. effing. funny.
Thai humour is very hit or miss for me but for some reason, I this had me crying tears with laughter. So I can't even say it's the Khaotung bias because every character, well, not every character, but our main group was so damn loveable that I couldn't help but find the cartoon humour hilarious.

Khao ofc and Mike's facial expression just got it right for me.

This is a don't think about it show. This is over the top, cringe flamboyance Thai style. Like an over the top anime/manga humour. Plotwise it's nothing new. If anything it's a comical take on deeply repressed sexuality with the usual narcissistic ex as our villain. Even the music is telling you not to think about it too much.

You'll either like it or you wont but I think it's one of those shows that if you try to make sense of it, you'll probably hate it. I can only recommend watching it for yourself and making your own decisions on it.
