Both originated from a Webtoon that has a Gumiho present. One that very obvious and another who isn't. In both drama the main lead(s) are/is trying to figure out a solution to accident they have created. (Spoiler Alert) Around the second half of the drama the female leads gets her memories erased and we see the ML struggle to get the girl to fall in love again. Do they succeeded? That's something you have to find out by watching both shows.

My Roommate Is a Gumiho. The drama tells us the story of Shin Woo Yeo, who is a 999-year-old nine-tailed fox. He has to make his bead turn blue in order to become a human. He falls in love with Lee Dam, a young college student, both the male leads are foxes ^_^

The red string fate... Always been a huge fan of this concept... Though both the dramas depict it in a different way... But who wouldn't love the coincidences of fate...

Both stories are similar in terms of the fantasy world. My roommate is a Gumiho is about a guy who is a gumiho, very likable, warm character. My love from the star is about a guy who is an alien.
