sadness and happiness at the same time
honestly as much as I love this series, I hate it so much at the same time.the actors did such a great job. so realistically played. but why do I hate the series at the same time, not every series, but because some child goes through the same thing and no one does anything. we have a display whether you are rich, middle class or poor, no one is happy, everyone is suffering, and when you look at it, everyone is equal, there is no difference. and no matter how much everyone suffered, they found themselves with a different character of thinking, sharing sadness and laughter. and when they are together, for a moment everything is normal. I don't know how the series will end, but I sincerely hope that everyone will find their way. I think we can learn a lesson from this series

Amazed!
I really enjoyed this show. The cast portrayed the characters really nicely and the music is just so good! The music went with every single scene that it was supposed to and brought out the emotions we need to feel with that scene. Every episode had something to look forward to and as a fan of BTS, it’s fun to see the Webtoon/music video stories of BTS come to life all in one with some changes. It brought a lot of emotions out of me, sad, laughter, sympathy, anger, guilt, and more.SPOILER:
when the prank of the funeral happened it was very funny but towards the end, it became a reality. That hurt for real.
The relationship each of the boys had together or one another was very heart touching. I really hope that there’s more to come because this was a masterpiece.

A true masterpiece
"Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again."
This drama is a one-of-a-kind experience that truly stands out. The actors gave phenomenal performances by portraying the characters and capturing the mannerisms of the BTS members with remarkable accuracy. Their dedication and attention to detail made the characters come alive, adding depth and authenticity to the story.
Although it spans only 12 episodes, some viewers might find the plot occasionally draggy. However, for those who appreciate slow-paced dramas, this could be a positive thing. Personally, I found the pacing enjoyable, as it allowed for a more thorough exploration of the storyline. Plus, I had a personal attachment to the storyline (it reminded me of the old times when I used to draw flow charts trying to solve the BU mystery ?).
One of the best things about this drama is how it sticks to the original storyline, which fans like me will definitely appreciate. The flawed characters blend harmoniously, crafting a drama that feels genuine and raw. It's what makes this drama feel so... authentic, you know? Perfectly imperfect, just like life itself.

Must watch
Acting, story, execution, bromance - brilliant.Hyyh is an interesting concept that I would have liked even if I wasn't an army. Anyone can watch it , and if you are an army, it's more emotional attachment because there are many subtle cute moments included that certainly reminds of them. I prefer watching dramas over reading a book and this is what I want! More, please more🥺
The actors who played jhope , suga(characterwise) and jimin(lookwise) match so perfectly with real BTS! Hyyh yoonkook supremacy!😭

"Bound by Love: Triumph Over Pain, Illness, and a Selfish Society"
Where to start aah! I love this drama cinematography and story too, the cast members are perfect and did justice to the characters they played in this series and last 2 episodes are bit confusing like suddenly they said Hwan was time travelling whatever we see in this 12 episodes are all part of his time travel it seems, i was surprised at many scenes like mainly Hwan's father scholarship one is bit confusing like i think so the man who died at beach knows something these 7 people and there life activities too like where they will died like that is written in the notebook which jeha studies it. Is time travel is only happening because of principal or saving his friends. The 7th scholarship students were time travelling for infinite times it seems so, that is why cein's mom died and jooan's dad is being drunken all the time, Hwan's dad forget about the tapes which cein mom send it to him. There are few scenes in this drama that made me think abt it like 1st scene intro scene hwan watches the building as if he had saw it before somewhere and 2nd scene like jooan doesn't recognize cein in one scene like he went to make him hold for few seconds. The man who threatened these 6 kids are none other "Hwan" itself and i am speechless, when does season 2 will air? I need to watch it immediately, it is so confusing and you guys left out with many questions!!!!

PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST KDRAMA I'VA WATCHED
I may be reaching for some but for me, this is one of those rare dramas that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll. It’s not just a story about seven teenagers navigating their troubled lives—it’s a raw and heartfelt reflection of society’s flaws. Tackling themes like mental health, generational trauma, poverty, and discrimination, the drama doesn’t shy away from showing how the choices of one generation can echo through the lives of the next. What truly stands out is the depth of the storytelling. The writing is sharp, with lines that cut straight to the heart. One that stayed with me was Hwan's quiet confession: *"If I could go back and take the pain from all of you, I would. Even if it meant losing myself."* It’s these moments of vulnerability that make the characters feel real and their struggles relatable.
The actors deserve so much praise. Each of them brought an intensity to their roles that made you believe in their pain, their hope, and their resilience. Hwan, as the eldest, carried the weight of the story with his quiet strength, while the younger cast members brought layers of complexity to their characters. Their chemistry made the group dynamic feel natural and heartfelt, especially in the lighter moments that offered a break from the heavier themes.
Visually, the production is stunning. The cinematography perfectly captures the mood, with muted tones reflecting the characters’ bleak realities and brighter shots symbolizing fleeting moments of hope. The use of music is subtle yet effective, with melancholic tracks that amplify the emotional weight of pivotal scenes.
The narrative structure is another highlight. As a prequel to the BU universe, it masterfully builds the backstories of the protagonists while setting the stage for future events. The introduction of time travel in the final moments is both unexpected and intriguing, adding a layer of fantasy that feels earned rather than forced.
But what hit hardest for me was the message. *Begins Youth* doesn’t just tell a story—it holds up a mirror to our world. It shows how societal pressures, inequality, and the failings of adults can crush the dreams of the young. Yet, amidst all the pain, there’s a glimmer of hope—a belief that change is possible, even if it comes at great sacrifice.
The open ending left me aching for more. Watching Hwan sacrifice himself to save his friends, only to be trapped in a loop of time, was heartbreaking. It’s a bold choice that leaves the audience yearning for answers—and for a second season.
This is more than a drama. It’s a beautifully crafted, deeply emotional journey that reminds us of the weight of our choices and the strength it takes to break free from cycles of pain. If you’re looking for a show that will make you think, cry, and hope all at once, this is it.

A MUST WATCH
As a huge BTS fan, watching Begins Youth felt like stepping into a world that was both familiar and completely new. The way this drama tied into the BU (BTS Universe) storyline was incredible—it gave so much depth and meaning to the characters we’ve come to love through BTS’s music. But what truly touched me was how raw and real it felt. The drama doesn’t just explore the struggles of its seven protagonists; it brings to life the themes BTS has been singing about for years—mental health, societal pressure, broken families, and the weight of expectations. Watching it, I couldn’t help but think about lyrics like "It's my fault that I can't hold on, it's my fault that my heart is bruised" from The Truth Untold. It felt like the drama was an extension of those emotions, showing us the stories behind the pain.
One scene that hit me the hardest was when Hwan said, "We were just kids. But the world made us grow up too fast." It reminded me so much of the way BTS has always spoken about the struggles of youth, from No More Dream to Spring Day. I could feel the heartbreak, the longing, and the hope all at once.
The cast did such a phenomenal job. Every single actor brought so much emotion to their role that I could feel their struggles as if they were my own. Hwan, in particular, broke my heart—his quiet strength, his guilt, and ultimately his sacrifice to save his friends were so moving. It made me think of Jin’s Epiphany and the idea of loving yourself even in the hardest moments.
Even the production felt like it was made with ARMY in mind. The cinematography was breathtaking, with visuals that reminded me of BTS’s music videos—like the lonely train station from Spring Day or the eerie stillness of I Need U. The soundtrack was hauntingly beautiful, perfectly capturing the bittersweet tone of the story.
And the ending… oh my gosh, the ending. When Hwan decided to go back in time to save everyone, even knowing it meant he’d be stuck in a loop, I couldn’t stop crying. It was like watching someone embody the message of Love Yourself: sacrificing for others but at the cost of losing himself. It left me aching for Season 2, hoping we’ll see these boys find the happiness and healing they deserve.
Begins Youth isn’t just a drama—it’s a love letter to youth, to struggle, and to hope. As an ARMY, I felt like it perfectly captured everything BTS stands for: facing your pain, finding your voice, and believing in the possibility of a better tomorrow. If you’re a fan of BTS, you need to watch this. It’s not just a story—it’s an experience that will stay with you forever. 💜

A must watch especially if you are a hyyh enthuthiast!!
Okay so this is actually my first time writing a review but I had to for this drama because... damn it was so good. Like personally I didnt have any expectations at first and i lowkey started doubting whether they would air it bc so long had passed since they filmed it. But then it got aired without any promo and on a random streamingsite (so mad at that btw) and I watched it and it just exceeded my expectations so much?? Like I never expected it to be this good, might have become one of my fav kdramas ever. The actors also nailed their roles, it was as if they had all studied the members and their habits and mannerisms. Im really proud of them all they did such a great job, literally couldnt have casted better actors to play the roles. Also the plot was so good like sure they altered a bit of hyyh's original storyline which is normal and i think it fit well too so. But ngl watching hyyh live action was even more painful than i thought it would be like hyyh = pain and trauma and ANGST OHGOD SM ANGST but despite all the angst I loved their bond so much they just nailed it guys please watch it, I cannot recommend it enough!!! ALSO USING BTS SONGS AS BGM WAS CRUELLL. ANYWAYS i could say so much more but I dont wanna give any spoilers but just know that its a 10/10 drama loved it and i hope there will be a season 2 cuz some questions were left unanswered too but im lowkey used to it bc of hyyh storyline in general😭Was this review helpful to you?

The actors were phenomenal!
This show wasn’t something I was going to watch till I recognized one of the actors and I decided to give it a try this show was beautiful in so many ways and the boys did an amazing job on their characters it felt all so real. I think the one thing about this show for me is that it was a bit hard to follow at times and I was confused about the order for a while, but once I had got over that it was still decently enjoyable. Last thing I wanted to say if they didn’t have the great actors they had the show wouldn’t have been as good. Was this review helpful to you?
So far...Great!
This show gets better with each episode. Love the chemistry of the 7 students. Episode 6 was the best with the humor and compassion. You definitely get a feel for the special bond they have for each other. They pull each other out of their lowest moments. Curious to see how the time travel concept will be played out. Will it follow the BU concept? Was this review helpful to you?

Sempre sete
