He tails them and discovers that Xi Ruo is practicing for the dance competition. Ru’er is informed that Xi Ruo is playing the drum and dancing. Her servant has also quietly changed Xi Ruo’s medicine to investigate if she is really pregnant. Xi Ruo is sneaking out again on competition day. She knocks Hong Bin out with her sleeping powder.
