Th best realistic Chinese drama I’ve ever watched

I love the plotline the story everything. The only downside in this drama from the episode is when they got separated and they got back again not much sweetness i was expecting from both of them. I very much like their couple thing when he was still blind. Love their super sweetness. If only they are consistent sweet until the end i could have give. this drama a 10/10. Love the actors! Love the music of this drama. Love the flow but it drags in the last 6 last episodes. But it was okay. I still love this drama!!

Oh my Dear LORD !!!!! GEM

Its been 2 hours since I have finished watching this drama completely and still struggling to find appropriate words in my vocabulary to best describe this drama, if I say it was splendid then i am under praising it.
This show is more than Splendid.
I saw the trailer of this show maybe a year ago, but nothing much stood out when the trailer first came out. Just that the ML is blind and nothing special stood out in the trailer, but there was something about this drama which made me keep checking its on-air schedule date every month. I cannot describe in words that pull this drama had from the beginning.
This drama touched on very sensitive topics like one of disabilities which is visual disability, autism, delusion. Writer has very smartly incorporated these things in the show.
Whenever a normal person sees a blind guy, he usually tend to show pity because they cannot see the world and it sort a makes them handicap. But in this show they have showed even Blind people can live normally in this society but its just that they see stuff through their ears and nose (sense of smell). " They don't need our pity, all they ask is to treat them as equals". what a beautiful message.
About acting: A BIG BIG BIG BIG SUPER BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE ML of the drama Evan Lin. Man oh Man this guy can act, sing, and also looks super dashing on the screen. His visual stand is just out of this world. I kept thinking why such a talented man, who is so good looking made his television debut so late. I guess he was waiting for the right script or this script chose him i dont know, but i want to assume its fated that he had to portray Su Nian Qin. I cannot imagine any other actor as Su Nian Qin. He is so so convincing as the blind person in the 1st half of the drama. I mean even blind person can be short tempered, can show tantrums because why not even they are normal human being. This guy has shown all the emotions so effortlessly that i couldn't believe that this is his 1st drama. This guy is going to sore high and definitely has a very bright future and I am going to watch every single drama of his in the future.
I am not a fan of Wan Peng because all her other drama characters have certain pattern and I was afraid even this character of hers will behave the same and I was right, it happened. But, i guess later they have justified why she behaved in a certain way. So there are no loose ends in this drama. She has done a decent job.
Music: Oh god!!! OSTs are just mesmerizing. Every song has a meaning, reason and the timing it is played in the drama. Cherry on top is most of the songs are sung by our ML himself.
He is good on eyes and ears. Also, he gets dimples on both the cheeks what more can a fan ask for. This guy is just perfect. I cannot stop myself from going on and on about Evan.
Whoever sees this comment and whenever that maybe just drop your other dramas and watch this, you will not be disappointed.

No shortage of CP moments

Just finished watching these and dang, I renewed my IQIYI subscription just so I could fast track all 24 episodes, and I don't regret it one bit!

Overall, it's a light-hearted drama full of cute CP moments between the two leads. I love that the storyline was a little different and that they were all about inclusivity, e.g. addressing being blind, autistic, depression etc. I'm glad they were addressing some real situations. Not forgetting, the issues that most youngster's face these days about chasing your dream vs finding a stable job, the hardships in relationships and families.

I did think for a second that his possessiveness over her became a little creepy at some points (I mean, who expects to always pick up their phone calls) and that her temper was starting to be a little annoying for me (I don't know how Nian Qin did it), but I think it suited the show quite well given their chemistry and characters. Though I must say I was a little annoyed they didn't make her pregnancy more realistic, I mean when she says "he just rolled around inside" and they show a side view of her and there's barely any bump, it just didn't help with the imagination and visualisation of the situation.

But apart that, the music scores were great and I think the show lived up to it's hype!

Definitely recommend it if you're looking for something relatively quick and easy to watch!

I loveeee the OST's. I love Evan Lin's voice!!❤️

Everything felt so natural unlike other cdramas.
The emotions portrayed in this drama really made me realize about how life goes on and the obstacles we have to face. And the acting was really really good. ML was really good acting as a blind person it was so realistic and our FL was a warm and outgoing person who melted the cold personality of ML. They are perfect for each other❤.❤

2/3 of total episode is worth to see, the rest are...

The story :
as the headline i wrote, the 2/3 part of the story is worth to watch. I really love how they falling in love with each other, i love the nuance. i like the FL was brave enough and how she face the world till i almost believe she able to face her struggle even without the ML.
I keep believing that the ML will have a really good reason to keep his relationship and get back to FL and become a couple again
Instead, the drama giving me another classic story plot to make the FL getting dragged again and again and the one who stated clearly about "begin" again is the FL .
i insist till the end for the saken of how they dealing with the mental health issue's of the FL. but i've got dissapointed again.

Music :
i love the ost. tho'

Acting :
the acting both actor and actress are really good i have to admit it since this is the first project of the ML

One of the best cdramas of that time

i started it without seeing anything about it i just found it on youtube while scrolling and decided to give it a try since evan is the male lead and i really liked him in Fall In Love, i also really wanted to try a wan peng cdrama but her as the female lead since i loved her in support roles , and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT i have binge watched it in 2 days i couldnt stop wathcing it the first 17 episodes really felt like a blurr, from the first 3 episodes i knew it was gonna be one of my favourites. Though the story got messy in the middle i felt like it was necessary for them to go through that phase, since at first the relationship felt very very rushed they needed a step back it was good for both of them, only thing i have about this cdrama is that the ending WAS SO RUSHED it was extremely rushed none of the story wrap ups actually wrapped up well, the scene of her stomache ache really made no sense it didnt add anything to the plot . OSTS are one of the best osts ive heard in my life evan has such a great voice it matches very well with the vibes of this drama and 'meeting you' is by far in my TOP 5 Osts its very very sweet it will always remind me of them.

Nope... definitely not a 10

I don’t know why so many reviewers are giving it a 10??! Maybe because it’s quite artsy? Yes the production and quality is quite good. I liked how the drama showed the audience how visually impaired people live their lives and get an education.

But unfortunately the pace of the story’s development was too slow and boring. I understand that the ML was cold and cut off because of his past etc, but his acting was kinda dull and mellow for me. I wasn’t too keen on FL WanPeng either, the way she carried herself and I felt like she mumbles a lot.

Honestly wanted to finish this because the other reviews were so good, but nah. I just skipped WAAAYYY too much. Gonna move on to the next :)

I really don't accept a bad review for this drama. I'm sorry.

Let's see, let's start from the beginning. It is normal that there was no relationship between them from the first chapter. That would be illogical and I will explain why.

The protagonist is an orphan, and lived for a long time in the orphanage. He really didn't have a good time at the orphanage, he hates his father and his family. For him, his only family was his mother. He only gets along with his aunt, she is the only one who to a certain extent, always sets a limit, because he is afraid of getting hurt. And he also can't see.

The protagonist obviously falls in love with him at first sight, she herself admits that she is very in love, and he reminds her later when she regains her sight. It's fun to see how she tries to be closer to him but he always stops her. He is not hard on her nor is he hurtful to her, but there are things that he does not like her to do, such as her attitude towards orphaned children. Obviously she doesn't do it with bad intentions, he understands that but he also wants to make her see that these attitudes can only harm them.

Slowly he gets used to her and eventually they fall in love.

She does things to him that he was not used to doing and she is the only one with whom he breaks that barrier and lets himself see what he is like and all his childhood wounds.

Here I want to emphasize two important points:
1. His mother did not accept their relationship because he was blind.
2. I don't know if they skipped parts or are stupid. She NEVER wanted to study psychology, she only followed the desire of her mother, who wanted to manage her life even though she was an adult. Her mother even thought about finding her a job because she "should" be a teacher like her father. Her vocation and what she liked most was music (that's why she was obsessed with knowing who was the composer of the music she was listening to, who turned out to be the protagonist, who always wanted to remain anonymous with a fake man, so that the media will not get involved in your life private) and the locution. That's why, secretly from his mother, she did internships at a radio station. Who is really not interested in psychology, no matter how much they study it, will quickly forget what they are learning, because she did not even pay attention in class because she was not interested in psychology at all and she always made it clear.

The thing about her being childish, maybe she is a little bit, but I really understand her reaction to finding out by surprise that her two best friends were having something. First, because him best friend had ambiguous attitudes towards her and that made her think that he might like her. The second thing, what really hurt her was the betrayal. She told everything to her two best friends and they knew everything about her, it's really ugly to give all your trust to your best friends and they know everything about you but no one dared to tell her what was happening, but she found out by surprise. . The two friends were wrong there, and she had reasons to be angry with them. She then took it all in and forgave that.

Their breaking point is understandable. The protagonist was not being capricious, her father was sick (another bad thing her mother did was hide from her that her father was hospitalized) and the protagonist here did act selfishly. He didn't want to let her go because he believed it was a trap by FL's mother to separate them. Even though she promised to return, he continued to insist. Which caused her to waste time and when she arrived her father was already dead, and she loved her father because he was the only one who let her do whatever she wanted with her life.

He obviously had compelling reasons not to forgive him. And she remained in that position for a long time, it was not easy for her to forgive ML even though she loved him.

Then... well she loved him a lot so she ended up forgiving him. Her relationship from then on was very beautiful and healthy.

But the friends were not there for decoration. Thanks to his friends he was able to find out about the trauma his girlfriend was suffering. Clearly he had never seen that friend that she always mentioned. Which had seemed strange to him at first, but after finding out he knew that her trauma was so great, that his psyche, to protect her, created like an imaginary friend representing his friend from the childhood.

At that moment, he did not pressure her or bring up the subject because first she went to consult with a psychiatrist and the psychiatrist explained to her that making her relive that moment could be very counterproductive for her. So he only dedicated himself to being there for her and that she gradually let go of that imaginary friend.

The ending was beautiful. It allows us to see the traumas that all people have, the importance of having someone by your side to face it, what it is like to suffer blindness, the prejudice that exists behind these people and that love is love, it does not matter if that person has a special condition.

They have a healthy relationship, where both help each other improve themselves and fulfill their dreams.

I really don't understand why people didn't understand anything at all. You just had to sit down and read, it was all written there and it wasn't difficult to understand.

The performances exceeded my expectations and the soundtrack was very beautiful.
And the chemistry between the actors was palpable.

If you want to watch a modern Chinese drama, which explores all this and with healthy love. This is the drama for you. I would even go so far as to say that it is mandatory watch this drama..

What happened and why so many 10 stars???

So first of all: I couldn't bring myself to watch it past episode 9, there were so many plot holes and so many things unexplained from the beginning I kept asking myself "what is happening?" (and not because I am stupid lol).

I had enough of it when the FL starts living in the home of the ML out of the blue and when I saw that, once again out of the blue, the FL finds a love rival in her boss/superior at work, which totally didn't make sense to me.

From the beginning the FL lines were so embarrassing until her and the ML get together, which is when they did not need to be embarrassing anymore, because the plot became more embarrassing instead.

There were so many plot holes, it was like if the writer wanted to reach a destination but did not know how and just reached it by teleporting all the characters there without explaining anything on how they reached that point. And still, at the beginning it was still not so terrible, it really got worse when they got together somehow (and they got together relatively soon in the series).

All I want to know is how this drama reached this many positive reviews...

So, about the plot mess I only have two hypothesis:
1. the screenwriter did not know how to do their job properly (I really hope it is not so),
2. the screenwriter did write a screen for a longer drama, meaning more episodes, without plot holes, but then the production decided to cut it shorter and they cut plenty parts, leaving us with unbearable (imo) plot holes (I prefer to believe this second hypothesis).

Overall though I have mixed feelings about this drama, cause I really enjoyed the story underneath it, at the beginning, the "what could have been", the acting of the ML, the ML per se was perfect, I also really emjoyed the school setting in the beginning, where the ML was teaching and stopped all of a sudden. But the plot holes and the overlooked mistakes/nonsense were just too much... So in the end I have no choice but to drop this drama because of the "what actually is", having to forget about the "what could have been" and reading some other reviews I am relieved I am dropping it at ep 9 and not later on.

I would not recommend anybody to watch this, unless you really don't mind major plot holes and a few nonsense production decisions here and there.
