Not perfect, but pretty good
Ok,this one confused me a bit on the plot. Why were Paran and Khem intwined in the first place? Why did spirits only come after Khem in this life? If Khem's mom wasn't a reincarnation of Khem's mom, why did her situation go down? And was there an ending written before filming or was it made up as it went along? Acting was good, NC-17 scenes were some of the better ones I've seen lately. CharnJet made me question if they had at least hooked up IRL. The plot did have some great things about it. I laughed and cried along with the characters. Was this review helpful to you?
BounPrem is real?
I think we all loved the idea of BounPrem because they are one of the only BL pairs where both actors are really attractive. But the whole BounPrem is real fantasy needs to die. Let's be real, if they were kissing in real life, their on screen kissing would have gotten way better by now. I'm not even convinced at this point that either of them is bi, let alone gay. Which is fine, we still love them. As for the series itself, I think there was a lot of potential, but it just missed the mark. The music was decent and helped keep things moving. Most of the acting was pretty good, but the story itself needed a bit of "revamping". I didn't struggle to get through it like some fantasy series, but I also found myself doing other things through some of the slower parts. Was this review helpful to you?
Chemistry and endless bullets
I love this series. The plot took some twisted and turns that weren't necessarily required to keep it moving, but they didn't hinder the momentum either so I'm not mad about it. I also adore DaoOffroad as Than and Pheem. I always find their on screen chemistry spot on and completely believable. They must workshop a lot (if you catch my meaning) because they never have fish lips. The one thing that does drive me crazy in most of these types of series is the guns that never run out of bullets or fire waaay too many times before running out of amo at the most inconvenient moment. All in all, I feel good recommending this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Was this a Uni Film Student project?
This started out with a terrible soundtrack and finished with a terrible ending. Both episodes are just one boring 2 hour movie with no real thought behind it. And there is this random BDSM scene (kind of) that is just horribly cheesy. I guess they had to make the second episode to give it some sort of ending, but we really should have saved the budget on this one for something else. At first i wanted to criticize the acting as well, but watching these two in Reloved tells me it really is just a horrible script. Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointed
I had high hopes for this one. The trailers looked good, the cast were all very attractive, the music flowed, but the plot was a total miss. I actually stopped watching it for a while because I was bored. It did pick up in some areas, but I didn't see the top/bottom switch coming, nor did I buy it.Was this review helpful to you?
Over the Top Fun
First, let's be clear, this series is meant to be over the top cheesy with some serious undertones. Thee (Pond) is from Hong Kong and using old Thai dramas to learn the language and mannerisms. He's a very misunderstood heir to the mafia and Peach (Phuwin) is the first person, apart from his best friend/bodyguard (Est), to really take an interest in getting to know him and help him separate real life from dramas. William has a good size role in the series as well even though he's not listed as a main in the opening credits. I am really excited to see where this will end up.Was this review helpful to you?
