Enjoyed Every Bit's of the Movie
I really appreciate the plot which isn't overly complex and the way it draws me into thinking about the case at the heart of the film. Adapted from a novel, the writing is excellent; there are also elements that allow us to deeply relate to the relationships between the characters, enabling the audience to truly feel the sorrow and the sacrifices involved.Masaharu Fukuyama, Anne Watanabe, and Gin Maeda deliver excellent performances in this film; their characterizations are strong and feel completely natural. It is a bit of a sad that Yuriko Yoshitaka’s role falls into a somewhat awkward middle ground hovering between being crucial and inconsequential even though her character is actually quite interesting.
