Unique Storyline, Typical CDrama Faults
The headline kinda sums it up. Parts of the series were also predictable too (Xiaoci getting attacked by Xu Dian). I also think the Xiao Ai trope was revealed too early, though her character was played well.Even when I was getting sick of the typical "Does she like him?/Does he like her?" thing (and almost dropped the series), I really liked Xiaoci's character. Her cunning, hard-to-get nature with Du Lingfeng was spot on, and I like that the series gave her a backstory as to why she is the way that she is.
I'm glad I didn't drop the series, but I'll admit to fast-forwarding through some parts. I think I would recommend this series, but would definitely not put it at the top of my list.

Give it a shot!
Only with a basic knowledge on the subject of shooting and shooters,I wanted to watch this drama and glad I had watched this.Hu Yitian plays the role of a nationally popular sharpshooter who is preparing for the Olympics to represent China, while Xing Fei plays the role of an interviewer who always interviews and updates information time to time regarding the shooting team.
Through this drama,I had come to know the life of shooters, how they train, how they need to focus on shooting, the rifles and guns they use,how they prepare themselves for the competitions and their internal struggles.
Now coming to the main part of this drama,it revolves around the love between the main leads and how it develops into an everlasting bond from a cold relationship from the side of the male lead.
It also focuses on certain psychological issues.
The premise, costumes, acting, production all were good.
A nice drama.Give it a shot!!

Sweet, Heartfelt, and.... LONG!!!!
Okay, it helped and showed a lot of themes involving PTSD and mental health, first love, and my favorite thing in the world which is youth dramas and first loves coming together and growing into their own person. Some of it was really messed up, and this made me cry because I've deal with PTSD, for some, the thought never leaves them. It can be their long term. And some seek treatment every day for the rest of their lives. Now, some of it was a little inaccurate. Though I've had selected amnesia, and I've faced my issues head on by complete accident, some of those evasive therapy techniques aren't always the best and always going to the physical source that triggers the problem, it can't actually do more emotional damage, but the story was great. I love the actors in this drama, which honestly kept me to continue the story. Hu Yitian and Xing Fei are my favorite Chinese drama actors, and the spark was amazing. I was actually wondering when they would've worked together. Now I saw. But, I did shed a tear, but the only flaw despite the fact yes, it represented mental health and the #metoo movement. I also really found a strength in Xiaoci that I didn't think I was going to like in the beginning. But, even though she went through her own depression and body dysmorphia, she realized that it's okay to love yourself for who you are. That's okay to love and trust the love that is given, even if it's from an unexpected guy. She's a strong will girl, and actually became one of my favorite characters in the end, just like Chen Hai. They all were despite the bad guys, of course.I think the only thing that I didn't like was that there was too many triggering scenes in there and if you've ever been into any of these situations as a young girl/guy and you get triggered, then the topic isn't really for you. But this was a really good show. Another thing I wanted to add, is that it's too long. The screenwriter went on in too much detail. Like it's their first time writing a script, leaving a great rough draft, but leaving extra details in there that we didn't need to have to be in there. I mean thirty episode max on the story. Other these things. Great show. I don't think I'll watch it again solely for the personal effect on me, but was a great show and if you like Xing Fei and Hu Yitian. Then this is for you.

Stranger things indeed;)
The storyline, character and relationship development- I find them all to be quite strange and weird. Many things don’t add up. A lot of push and pull, which makes the story drag on for quite a bit. It also seems to be disjointed and disconnected.FL Xing Fei- her acting is pretty much the same in all her other dramas. We all loved her in PYHOMS.. but there doesn’t seem to be any progress or variety in her style or character she plays. Here she’s still acting clumsy and cute- seems to have some psychological disorder with close contact.
ML Hu Yitian- lol aka mr poker face? Or mr one expression face? Hahah... sorry. It’s the same here... He has selected amnesia, and wants to stay away from FL. but.... one episode he will say “ Let’s draw the line in our relationship”... next episode suddenly he’ll be all interested and trying to get closer to her. HUH.. like what’s going on?
The general feel I get is... childish. The whole storyline, characters etc... just childish. The two boys who seem to have so much time on their hands, always gossiping and goofing off.. how are they on the school team??! Lol...
Oh! The house that FL and ML stay in.. looks like the same house in PYHOMS :):) just different deco and colour! Hahah
Looks like I’m dropping this. Rather slow and draggy, and there are 40 episodes!

From all the e-sports drama that I've watched, this drama's second couple makes me stressed because they keep quarreling and fighting. Although I understand that they both have horrendous pasts and it's hard to face them but they keep running away whenever they encounter a scene or remember something about it. Aside from the second couple, the first couple also barely kisses, I don't know if it's really how the script is written or the actors request about it but sometimes while watching their scenes, it makes me think if they're communicating as strangers or they're communicating as a couple. However, I am still unsure if I will drop this or not but in the meantime I won't. Was this review helpful to you?

Did an AI write the script?
This drama was so strange. So many things were said and happened that made absolutely no sense. It made me wonder honestly if an AI wrote the script because it felt like something a computer would come up with. Like, they fed rom-com scripts into an AI and then the AI came up with this odd amalgamation of tropes and unconnected scenes / scenarios. They legit kidnap a hedgehog. Also, she randomly raps on a livestream while wearing a bear costume for some reason I couldn't quite figure out. And then she gets drunk after three sips, sees a sign with a four-leaf clover, and wants to jump off a bridge.Like ????? what am I watching?
I swear, I couldn't come up with this stuff if I tried. It's so, so weird.
I do like the ML and FL actors and so I'll check out more of their dramas. But I will never watch another drama by this script writer ever again.

A Healthy, Youthful Love
An Olympic pistol shooter + the trainee reporter assigned to his team.A connection he can’t remember; a love she never forgot.
The ML is so singularly focused on his goals that he comes across as cold & dismissive to those outside his close friends. So when he meets the FL, he can’t understand why he’s so unsettled by her. Why does this girl affect his concentration so much? He doesn’t know who she is… or does he?
The FL is determined to her tasks well for her new job, proving her worth & talents to her boss. When she goes out on assignment & encounters the ML, she’s shocked to see the boy she’s always loved. But why does he seem like he has no idea who she is?
When circumstances & responsibilities cause them to interact more, will they find the answers to the questions they’re both asking? As their relationships shifts & a bond is formed, the mystery of their shared history starts to be revealed. Will their love be strong enough to weather the storm when the truth is made known? Will they be able to heal from the mental trauma they’ve both been living with?
I’ll tell you truly that I love this show. I thoroughly enjoyed each episode as the Leads’ relationship progressed from distant & suspicious of one another to tentative friends/roommates. Their journey from there is so pure & sweet to watch!
They’re both strong, independent individuals. They’re focused on reaching their personal goals & neither is afraid of the hard work it requires. I love when a couple is on equal footing, meaning they both bring something to the relationship rather than only being “takers”. This duo is a great example - they each have their strengths that they lend to one another when the other is feeling weak. They encourage & help each other in everything, 100% supporting & believing in their partner’s dreams.
I enjoyed their personalities, too, & how their differences were highlighted. Neither was better or worse, they were simply different. Again, they each had their strengths so neither Lead outshone the other. Rather, they used their strengths & talents to help each other just shine that much brighter, which is how a healthy couple should be! Whether in public or just at home together, they were each other’s safe place & closest confidant. I love that! They’re both so deeply protective of one another, too, that their first reaction is always to shield the other. No icky person or wicked scheme will succeed because these two are simply too solid to be taken out by “villains”.
This is a really calm & easy watch that I often return to when I want a sweet love story without any typical drama-trauma tropes - no drawn out misunderstandings or messy breakups, no evil family members or wanna-be love rivals, & no need for big brain power to solve anything. This show allows me to just simply relax & enjoy as the Leads fall in love…

wholesome romance - but disappointing in the mental health aspect
The storyline of having PTSD as an athlete (that is not related to the sport) and receiving long-term therapy could have meant that we’d see an emotional, heartfelt and inspiring story. - but ultimately it was just another generic childhood-friends, sports rom-com that completely failed to tell a meaningful story due to it’s lack of research done, generic script and casting the wrong people. The leading actors are well established in the romcom field but neither are able to pull off the mental illness side convincingly enough. It just seemed like they were acting according to certain tropes (aloof ML, sweet FL) and selling it as something deeper. Having seen both of them in other dramas before, I was disappointed to see that their performance was exactly the same and there no additional depth added, which was needed to make it believable that they’re actually having PTSD that affects their daily life.
The romance was sweet and very innocent. I‘d say they were a very wholesome couple.
As a youth sports romance it’s not bad at all ~ especially the second lead couple was entertaining however I came for the promised mental health aspect and in that regard it was a complete lackluster.
Also for some reason the FL pissed me off the more I watched. She seemed too good/gullible to be real. She was clearly written as a saint, that is sweet, cute and supportive but doesn’t have much of her own personality or flaws.
However the biggest pet peeve was the depiction of the therapist. Extremely unprofessional, doesn’t have any boundaries with her clients and breaks many ethical rules - like telling the FL all about MLs struggles and things he told her within treatment. She seemed more like a friend to the FL, as she called her all the time discussing ML and it was clear they wanted to sell a more light hearted, friendly version of what’s it like to go to therapy.
Can’t even be fully mad tho since it’s obvious the production & screen writers just have no idea what a therapist really is and does.
I also found the last 10 episodes very boring, as it’s just couples being couples. Not a single unique scene we haven’t seen in at least twenty other Chinese youth romance dramas.
… this may seem like a rant but it’s just what I didn’t like about the drama.
It wasn’t horrible - I actually enjoyed it at times and it didn’t have any major flaws or issues but aside from the second lead couple it was underwhelming to me.

Overcomers
I liked this drama without all the angsty tension and martyrdom attitudes. The couples learned to talk and deal with issues together (some faster, some slower), rather than sacrificing their relationship over a false sense of heroics and hurting one another like the older adults were doing. The villain was perfectly played and I’m glad they kept him out of a lot of the drama. There was also a good lesson on letting your own jealousy lead you down the wrong path.
Attention to PTSD was well done

Ok many showed so many hate against the main leads but compared to thier past works thier acting really improved like frr!! The emotional parts were well done im ngl on that one. The plot was the usual one so it was easily predictable and yes they could have done this with 28 or 30 eps and I felt like they were extending it too much with unnecessary side characters.
I really appreciate the 2nd main couples cause thier story was ✨✨✨✨ thier part was enjoyable but since everyone appreciates only them I had to point out the hardwork our main leads put in
All the reviews i saw had like the main leads were not enjoyable and not worth seeing thier story but i feel like both of them improved a very lot and the emotional scenes i cried seeing how much fei changed here, her matured way of acting and the way she handled the emotional parts ✨ and for hu he had the same character of a cold guy at the beginning but after that it was seriously heartwarming ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
COULD HAVE MADE THE STORY LINE A LITTLE DIFFERENT AND LESS PREDICTABLE!
It was easy to guess what was gonna happen apart from the actors acting the flaw was in the plot line. Maybe to extend the eps idk but the side villainous character was un needed or atleast they should have ended her part on those eps itself.
But since this is an usual trope what can we expect from the writers the same old thing
And the trauma accident was actually something most people didnt understand he forgot everything and only she can help him remember and as for the fl she development fear due to the assault and it is related with the ml so her being with him will help her recover and that was the reason why the doc told them to live together everyone misunderstood this 😫😩
The ost loved it ✨
Actors acting was ✨✨😩
Plot line not bad but not good 🙂
Rewatch - its 50-50 all the fluff scenes are worth the watch but the whole series again is idk depending about the mood

Unrealistic and a complete waste of time
I basically had to create an account because I wanted to pen down my thoughts. I’ve been seeing Hello sharpshooter everywhere so I had great expectations for it; especially because I just finished watching miss crow and mr lizard. It was such a total disappointment!Honestly Hui Yuitan is such an handsome actor but I’ve never completed any of his dramas because his characters always feels plain, forced and unrealistic. It’s basically like trying to make sense out of nonsense. He’s always so stiff, bony and bland. I’ve never liked any of his characters and this drama was no different. A love so beautiful might have been manageable but not go go squid.
I pick up the drama and the ml suddenly isn’t focused on his game at the appearance of the fl…next thing the girl is affecting him mentally, I’m told he can’t remember his past, and suddenly he’s liking her. All in the space of five episodes and the drama is 40 episodes long! Do the writer think it’s kids that are watching the show. I was very pissed because I had downloaded 20 episodes and didn’t want to waste my data so I kept pushing through but felt stupid the more I went forward. The foundation of their relationship is totally unrealistic as everything seems rushed but slow at the same time. You’ll have to watch it to understand my point of view. I get they’re trying to portray him as someone without much social life but I’ve seen better from other dramas.
The fl character too is just annoying. Well maybe they had a past and she’s still attracted to him after all these while but they didn’t have to make her character dumb, always staring at him and acting awkward. There’s zero chemistry for me and right from the start I knew the drama was a big no. I don’t know what the doctor is trying to heal in the fl and next scene the ml suddenly agrees to move in with her. What’s shocking more is how he basically went from dislike in the first episode to interested in the next and I’m telling you the change was so basic and blahhhh
My review probably seems all over the place but that’s literally how the drama is. Wasting time from the beginning and it’s going to 40 episodes come on!
What exactly were you people watching and praising that I’m not seeing? Reminds me of once we get married another rubbish drama but I’ll review that one separately.
Pls refrain from hyping rubbish and deceiving people to watching it. Be honest with yourself because some of your reviews can go a long way. I can’t imagine having a bad day and coming to watch this drama… my anger would be so justified.
Xin fei has done better dramas than this so I know she’s a great actress so I can’t blame her character but she could have chosen better.
If you’re looking for dramas with good plots and cool relationship foundations, consider put your head on my shoulder, perfect and casual, falling into your smile, unforgettable love, love is sweet, you’re my glory and a lot others
But if you want to doubt your sanity and want an anyhow plot with zero flow, then you can watch this drama. But note you must have a lot of time on your hand.
No hate intended just frustration…
