The Blood of Youth

Similarities:
-Great martial arts/Wuxia skills.
-Multiple sects vying to be the best in the world.
-Great friendships established by MLs and others.
-Palace politics and all the plots behind them.
-Beautiful scenery, OSTs, costumes, etc.

Both dramas are filled with action and adventure. Both are also set in historical setting with wuxia and martial arts elements.

Both have Wuxia elements, a lot of action, and humor.

BoY is more of a fast watch and youth-centric. JoL is much more grown-up, cerebral, and with complex characters and plot twists. Though JoL is less accessible, as so much of the show's hilarity are not fully captured in translation.

If you like storyline, friendship, Journey, with a little comedy and romance on the side i would recommend The blood of youth. The similarity with A Journey to love:
-The friendship and brotherhood are hot, funny, melts your heart and definitely worth the attention as in A journey to love
-The Story involves a journey of entourage full of young men and funny build of friendship as well as fighting scenes
-Has great plotline, sets, and pacing
-The costumes are gorgeous
-Has comedy and romance on the side but not much
-Great sets and cinematography
-storywise very entertaining, struggles in politics and similarly build

- Historical, wuxia, jianghu, friendship, bromance, slight romance, martial art, action, adventure
- while in TBOY there's battle of wits, fight for thrown, slight politics was plot, IMMORTALIS centred around mystery, investigation and uncovering secrets
- both drama's leads are most of the time two man one woman

Same director, both wuxia fantasy with great fight choreography and they share the same supporting cast.

Entertaining big families that come close to heart.
The way both dramas deal with family-only dynamics is peaceful.
Full of comedy.
Heart-filling romances.
Double in-law couples.

Similar in mission, to clear name of beloved ones accused of treason. Clever and wise male leads, less romance, more brotherhood, strong and loyal companions.

I think both share the same theme of camaraderie/brotherhood/friendship. The classic "the real treasure was the friends we made along the way" shounen trope fits these two dramas. TBOY is more serious and dramatic (but there's still humour at times), whereas IAM is fully packed with comedy. I think IAM is a wuxia as well, so that's another similarity. There are a lot of powers, techniques, and sects in TBOY, just like IAM.

The main character in IAM is the descendant & inheritor of one of the most powerful man in the universe so we can infer that he has the potential to be the The Very Best™, though arguably not as OP as TBOY main character.

Lei Wu Jie, a young disciple eager to prove himself, travels to Xue Yue in hopes of becoming a true hero. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he damages the struggling Villa of Fallen Snow, run by the reluctant innkeeper Xiao Se. To make amends, Wu Jie invites Xiao Se to join him on the road.

Together, they encounter allies like Wu Xin, Sikong Qian Luo, Tang Lian, and Ye Ruo Yi, and are drawn into a much larger adventure involving danger, hidden identities, and a long-buried battle for the throne. As secrets unravel, one of them must decide whether to embrace a destiny greater than they ever imagined.

A tale of love and adventure between an immortal fox and an artisan goddess. An eternal love that will face enemies in heaven and on earth.

Although AD is more of an investigation style and Agatha Christie vibe but there are some similarities. (But Ancient Detective is better on those in my opinion.)

•The male lead who can't fight but uses his intelligence.
•The relatively more cheerful 2nd male lead who fights alongside ML and protects him (And they become friends right away).
•The female lead who knows how to fight and protects the male lead.
•The love between the 2nd male lead and the 2nd female lead is similar to the love between Lei Wu Jie and Ruo Yin.

They are similar, like strategy, smart man lead and a lot of difficult situations to fix. Nice scenario, good characters.

Both dramas are live action from popular anime.
