One of the best kdrama I’ve seen so far!!
First of all, the acting is absolutely impressive and the way they’re all so implied in the story it makes it even more suspending! Every single episode is worth to watch and it shows how the characters progress together, the power of their friendship and how they grow even more powerful each day.Secondly, every single character has an important role in the serie and everyone is special in their own ways, I like the fact that every character has a different but special personality that belongs to them only, it’s something I can’t really explain but if you guys watched the whole serie you’ll understand. Hoping for season 3🫶🏻

Power of Faith and Redemption!
Once again, “The Uncanny Counter 2” does not fail to disappoint. While I feel that the first season was stronger overall, the second season is solid and a lot of fun as the counters take on new evils and new challenges. The first season had more of a mystery and thriller element to the story, which actually made for more captivating and taut storytelling. This season’s themes are about faith, trust, and redemption.
Things start off when three high-powered evil spirits slaughter the Chinese counters and take their powers and abilities. Psychokinesis is one of the prevailing skills, and So Mun—who is the only counter to master this ability—is trying to teach his teammates with hilarious results. Uncanny Counter still has plenty of humorous moments, especially from Mo-Tak.
So Mun is not only the most powerful counter, he also seems to have taken on the leadership role of the team. So Mun’s greatest strength is his unswerving faith in people and never giving up on them even under the most dire circumstances. In short, So Mun doesn’t hesitate to act even when the odds are stacked against him, even from Yung itself.
Do Ha-Na is a bit more loose in this season. She smiles a bit more, perhaps because she was finally able to let go of her past from the first season. Do Ha-Na also finds a potential love interest, but her strength is to be with and protect others at all costs. She painfully puts her love interest’s livelihood above her own desires, and when Mo-Tak storms off, she goes with him even though she doesn’t agree with his decision. “I’ll never leave any of you alone,” she tells him.
Ms. Chu, of course, is the caring, nurturing teammate, and she also meets up with a young man from her past with the hopes of helping him.
Mo-Tak is still the fierce warrior of the team who has no “quit” in him, and there are some tense moments between him and So Mun. And Mo-Tak can always be relied upon for some of the funniest moments.
Jeok Bong is the newest member of the team. He’s a bit goofy and his “special” ability is to literally smell evil spirits and being able to track them down. I’ll admit that it’s an odd thing, and I believe is played more for laughs as Jeok Bong is often seen with his head out of the car window—much like a dog—sniffing the air.
This season sees a beloved friend in Ma Ju Seok, whose beautiful, young pregnant wife is murdered by the three evils spirits. Absolutely distraught and overcome with grief, Ma Ju Seok swears revenge. His rage is so consuming that he unwittingly opens himself up for possession by a truly sadistic spirit. It doesn’t take long for Ma Ju Seok to begin wreaking havoc as he tries to track down anyone and everyone responsible for his wife’s death. Even his beloved friends, the counters, are warned to stay out of his way or face the consequences.
Hwang Pil Gwang is the leader of the evil spirits whose sole purpose is to kill So Mun and steal his powers to add them to his own. He manipulates Ma Ju Seok by sending him off in the wrong direction to seek his vengeance.
Sometimes the monster created is far worse than the despair we feel due to the loss of a loved one. The Chinese saying, “Before seeking revenge, you must first dig two graves” is especially poignant here. We can understand, and perhaps even relate to Ma Ju Seok’s grief and rage, but he’s so blinded and consumed by revenge, that he threatens to destroy everything that his beloved wife stood for. I found it interesting that nobody attempted to tell him this; he was destroying his wife's memory and their love. Would she really have approved of his actions? Of course not.
As Ma Ju Seok continues to gain in power—mostly due to Hwang Pil Gwang’s influence, the counters are forced to ask the hard question: do they try to save Ma Ju Seok, or kill him? Even Yung believes that Ma Ju Seok must be eliminated, and for a time, So Mun stands alone because he still believes that Ma Ju Seok can be redeemed. And, of course, So Mun finds a way to do the unthinkable and the uncanny, and thus live up to his namesake. In short, it is So Mun’s faith in the goodness of his friend, that ultimately saves Ma Ju Seok.
There are plenty of tense action sequences and several that put you on the edge of your seat because you couldn’t help wondering if we might lose one of the counters. We’ve all come to love these characters, from their humorous moments to the obvious love and devotion that they feel for each other, to learning how to overcome their differences and obstacles in order to work together. Such is the hallmark of a true family.

Best kdrama оf 2023!!
I waited for season two for 3 years but the wait was worth it!! Great drama! Season two was quite different from season one, but it was still great! This time the villains were much more evil than season one! Byung Kyu's (Soo Moon) hair was wow! This season we saw a complete glow up on the counters! Soo Moon is no longer a child, but the ace of the counters! And the OST of the drama is much better than last season's OST! Awesome music! and the fact that Cho Byеоng Kyu did most of the action stunts himself is just phenomenal! All the action scenes are brutally cool much better than season one! Great kdrama! I will definitely watch it again and again! Highly recommend! Was this review helpful to you?

best show
one of my fav kdramas. i watched season 1 when it first came out a few years ago and have been waiting for season two ever since. this show is definitely a kdrama to watch i definitely recommend. the character development is so good. so many people are mad that they make it out that every counter is weak aside from mun but i definitely feel like that adds such a strong bounding to the show as he wasn’t very confident to start with and he had a lot going on in season two (Remember guys he is the MAIN character of the show)people also tend to find the new counter annoying, personally i think he is adorable and he deserves so much love. his power may be dumb however it has helped them find so many more evil spirits due to them figuring out how to avoid the territory.
he definitely adds a lot to the team.
please watch if you haven’t!

And the most infuriating thing that made me drop it was Korean actors trying to speak in Chinese with their worst accent ever like they didn't even try to improve.
They should have either hired Chinese actors or the Korean actors should have spoken in Korean without trying to force Chinese language and accent. Even their acting was bad accent aside.

Full of Huge Plot Holes from Episode 1
My biggest issue is that right from episode 1, what are supposed to be major plot points already make no sense. There’s a big uproar over the evil spirits consuming and gaining the counters’ powers, but as level 3 spirits these “new” powers are all things they should already be able to do (with the exception of the healer’s abilities). Psychokinesis and mind-reading were already things that came with the territory of being a level 3, so it really makes no sense that this is being played up so much.So Mun’s new look is fantastic with the longer hair, but the same can’t be said for his attitude. In season 1, his whole plot line was based around his determination to “stick up for the little guy”- even when it was someone that might’ve treated him badly in the past (like the mayor’s son). But in season 2, one of the first things we see him doing is scolding a very young and clearly distressed child just for speaking to him rudely. Sure, this season takes place a year or two later and it’s understandable that he might grow and change some, but there’s definitely a feeling that he’s grown a bit in the wrong direction. He was originally the moral glue for the team that wouldn’t allow them to ignore wrongdoings even when evil spirits weren’t involved, but it seems like now his role is just to be an immensely OP character that has to almost single-handedly hold up the entire team.
I haven’t finished the season yet and plan to keep watching a little further, but I have a gut feeling I will probably end up dropping the show before the end. I was so excited to see Yoo In Soo in this season since I just recently finished All Of Us Are Dead, but I’m struggling to even make it through to his first appearance (and after reading some other reviews, I’m worried that it’ll end up being pretty disappointing anyways).

Decepção
There's a lot to talk about:First point
The season has potential that unfortunately failed to develop. The new villain I thought was very good, but at the same time Mr. Ma, couldn't take it anymore after 4 episodes, a typical character who is nice and becomes a villain and the hero doesn't want to give up. Not to mention the waste of the other two villains with the hunter's skill that was completely forgotten.
Second point:
I couldn't understand what they did to the screenwriter of the first season for this second. Most of the characters were completely discarded, their personality changed or their importance totally diminished and the worst without explanation without explanation.
To begin with, the sound mum grandparents were completely useless and without any important lines of dialogue. So Mum's friends, who reveal themselves to be a couple at the beginning of the season and who were of great importance to So Mum's personality, were disposable.
Mo tak, who was the protagonist in the first, is here for half of the season trying to move objects and being comic relief. And this real new hunter, maybe it's the Korean humor that I'm not used to, but seriously what an annoying character, there were hours that made me want to skip his scenes because he was so boring.
third point (a lot of things without explanation)
For starters I'm a guy who likes romance in a series, and the first season focused a lot on so mun's relationship with ha na with them starting to develop feelings for each other, and then of course in the second season I expect an evolution , but no, instead there is not a scene where they have this romance interaction during the whole series, and to make matters worse, they put a character out of nowhere, sometimes being a Romantic couple and then their memories are erased. I hope that if there is a third season, the character of jade that appeared at the end will come back to add a little romance to the series.
And second was the lack of explanation for several events, why would a good person store an evil spirit wue influence in the head of the lord to kill and have his revenge to be able to possess him? Since when does an evil spirit possess the body of another evil spirit? And finally, som mum's mission when going abroad is to teach the hunters their skills. And then there are scenes showing this, there just isn't.a.crna and he comes back like, "Hi gebte I'm back, I'm with idol hair.
In fact, if the first season I gave an 8, this one for my disappointment is a 5.8 and I'm sad about it.
