Episode Title: Falling into the World of Demon Catchers
Ling Miao Miao's favorite author finally released a new novel. However, this new work "Catching Demons" is just a meaningless love story. The male and female leads have zero IQ and EQ, and the plot is solely driven by the vicious female supporting role Lin Yu. Finally, the story comes to a bad ending. Miao Miao was so angry that she sent a bad review. The next second, Miao Miao entered a parallel world based on "Catching Demons", and became the vicious Lin Yu that she just complained about.

Love Game in Eastern Fantasy Episode 1 Reactions
Miaomiao is funny. This is the first drama I watched after many chinese short dramas about time travelling into a novel story. I am curious to know if she is going to choose between going back to the real world or stay in a fantasy world.

A perfect start! Esther Yu's Miao Miao is so sweet and relatable, and nails the comedy here. Loved the entrance of Mu Sheng, and Ding Yu Xi really pulled off the intimidation here. Everyone did great this episode, and the special effects were well done!

From the very first moments until the last moments, this episode kept me fully engaged. The plot was very interesting, the pacing was excellent. I loved the music featured here and the overall aesthetic and production quality is drop dead gorgeous. The leads all gave strong performances setting up my instant adoration for Ling Miao Miao, Mu Sheng, Mu Yao, and Liu Fu Yi. Esther Yu's performance gave her the right amount of bubbly and comedy while still coming off sincere and not annoying. Ding Yu Xi was the right blend of intimidating, protective, and swoonworthy. Bambi Zhu seemed badass and I can't wait to see how this heroine interacts with Miao Miao, and Yang Shi Ze gave all the vibes expected of his character. I didn't feel the CGI was overdone, and it looked super pretty. My favorite scenes this episode were: Miao Miao's System Failure, Mu Sheng's entrance, and Miao Miao seeing "her father." I look forward to what comes next.

When she mentioned mushrooms, it reminded me the drama Cinderella Chef.😂😂😂 The female lead was cooking a recipe with some kind of mushroom and suddenly she was teleported from modern to historical timeline. And in the live action version she was teleported after the mysterious wing activated by the red moon. It is very strange to become a character inside your favourite story or game or whatever, right? Time travel dramas are full of comedy.

I was so impressed by this first episode, I didn't expect much but, it was totally different. Ding Yuxi is so good, this man and his entries in dramas they're always iconic. I love him so much and all other characters too everything is perfect. And the VFX too.

This series boasts a multitude of beautiful moments that I prefer to highlight rather than review the series. Note 3 moments from the first episode.
When Ling Miao Miao initially entered the game dimension, also known as the parallel world, Ling Miao Miao unknowingly failed at her quest twice. The series' cinematography is notable, as it seems to guide viewers through the scenes alongside Miao Miao, much like the experience of playing an MMO; and so, we begin, game on.
When Mu Sheng first appeared, it was at the pivotal moment to rescue Miao Miao from the Mirror Demon's evil act. As I watched the series to its conclusion, I recalled this scene and grasped its subtle message. This is a veiled message from Fu Zhou (also known as Zi Qi), the author of the novel "Demon Catcher". Fu Zhou composed the novel to create his own world where he could show to Miao Miao that he can protect her. That's why the first time they encountered each other in the parallel world, he rescued and protected her.
The moment that brought tears to my eyes was when Ling Miao Miao met her character’s father in the game, who shared an identical appearance with her late father. Her emotional reaction was a complex mix of shock, delight and profound joy. I believe this was a heartfelt gesture by Fu Zhou/ Zi Qi, who had thoughtfully preserved this element for Miao Miao. He was aware of the immense love and longing she felt for her late father, as well as the remorse she harbored regarding his passing. As a result, he intentionally designed Lin Ngu's father to bear a striking resemblance to Miao Miao's, thereby creating a moving and comforting experience for her within his world. 💝

I was little hesitant to start this show but now I am glad that I watched it. 9 minutes into the show I started laughing out loud. After that there is an excellent fight sequence (superb CGI) and one of the best ML introduction. A well produced drama. And I am hooked

I started it out of a whim bc I liked the trailer a few months ago. I was btw that and the Pearl girl. It's so funny! And the plot moves forward fast enough for my taste, so it's the perfect rebound cdrama after the emotional damage and constant heartpain that was Kill me Love me. I still can't think about the last episode without crying

1. GENRE
-Familiar: Demon-hunting and Transmigrating to a book is common on c-novels. If you love to read this kind of genre, the plot is easy to grasp and very true to its premise. The drama opens the introduction with Ling Miaomiao's relatable character as a reader and worker. The book's plot the FL reads is explained through great watercolor painting style animation which I appreciate.
-Unfamiliar: Game System/Book Transmigration genre is a rare to see in c-dramas so it's still refreshing to see in the screen especially there are many scenes that I can't help but to laugh out loud such as lightning scenes, credits scene, and Ling Miaomiao's inner monologues about the novel.
2. MEMORIES
- There's a famous quote by Jonathan Dunne "In the end, all we have is memories". The memories of FL in a certain scene where it feels like her two worlds collide.
-Usually in some dramas, if leads don't get happy ending in ancient world, there's possibility again to meet in modern world as another person. In this drama, we get that too in this drama but it's not the leads, but someone related to our FL (I don't want to spoil who it is) and this time, they didn't meet in modern world, but in ancient setting. This scene pokes my heart.
3. CLICHÉS PUT INTO GOOD USE.
-It's not a rare sight for Xianxia to see leads either ML/FL to be attacked by lightning usually punished due to disobedience to their master or God's or Heavenly rules. This drama add used that lightning not to create heart wrenching scene but into comedy goldd. Added with closing credit scene, I can't help to laugh out loud.

It's beautiful beginning. All the actors did a good job. I liked the acting of the main leads. Ling Miaomiao is my favourite. Mu Sheng also did great, since it was an introductory episode we couldn't see more of him. Hope to see more of him in the future
