Love Game in Eastern Fantasy

Both are about the female leads getting sucked into a novel they're disappointed with. LGIEF's FL is writing negative comments when she enters, and TSS's FL is writing fanfic to fix the issues she has when she enters. They go along with the story and develop a goofy/banter filled relationship with the second ML of the novels, which later develops into romance. MLs are also both the 'secret' author of the novels in both.

According to legend, in order to obtain terrible power, Dongfang Qing Cang of the Moon Tribe became an emotionless monster. He killed his father, seized the position of Moon Supreme and led an army of 100,000 Moon Tribe soldiers on a path of devastation. Shuiyuntian (the immortal fairy realm), Cangyan Sea (the Moon Tribe), and Yunmeng Lake (the mortal world) were in grave danger.

It tells the story of Xiao Ming Ming, a laid-back individual who loves martial arts novels but has been worn down by reality. Through the perspective of the novel's protagonist, Xiao Qiu Shui, he embarks on a journey through the martial arts world, evolving from a young, impulsive swordsman with limited skills into a great hero driven by loyalty and a sense of duty to his family and country. Afterwards, Xiao Ming Ming continues writing in his spare time, using his novels to convey the belief that people come together because of righteousness.

I'm kind of obsessed with this drama; what a masterpiece. It's definitely one of the best Chinese drama of the year and highly recommend it.

The breath taking visual effects in LGIEF really took me back to AOS. The plot is not remotely similar however the overall feel of the drama makes me feel like I'm watching something like AOS. The dynamic and chemistry of the ML and FL is alluring in both dramas.

Love for Love's Sake is a Korean BL, but it also shares some similarities with the Love Game in Eastern Fantasy:
- Main characters enter game-like fantasy worlds
- They both receive some missions from the "System"
- One of the missions is making the other (tsundere) main character fall for them, what is shown by percentage
- Love/Hate relationship
- Character development

both are unique by themselves and so interesting at the same time. i feel like if you like love game in eastern fantasy, you would enjoy moonlight mystique too!

You will also find a very good romance between male and female lead stars. Sword and Fairy 6 starring Yu Shuxin and Xu Kai is also a very good chinese fantasy romance adventure friendship drama series. While waiting for Love Game in Eastern Fantasy to air, I recommed to watch Yu Shuxin 's 2024 drama " Sword and Fairy 6 | Chinese Paladin 6 .

Both are fantasy romance chinese dramas. Main characters team up and go adventures together in both dramas.

Similar vibe with colorful palette, likable characters, engaging story and on the theme of friendship, family, companionship,... Both are very comforting shows to watch, but not at all boring.

Both are transmigration stories into a historical video game with a female lead starting out as the antagonist role in the game. Eastern Fantasy has more romance, whereas To Get Her goes all out with the wacky comedy and costume drama parodies.
