- both MLs are crown prince/kings
- both FLs are forced to marry the ML

If you liked the anti-hero ML, you might watch TLLoQL but in the point of view of the “others” who view the anti-hero as a villain.

The “villain” in TLLoQL is like the older version of the ML in DL.

Similarities:
-Both have about leads trying to outwit each other to see who's a friend or foe.
-Both FL's put on fake airs/illness to look pitiful but are in fact quite intelligent.
-Both series have good side characters.
-Lots of slapstick humor.

- Both are funny,
- About romance between king and someone that is not traditional fit to be queen in the opinion of others.
- Comedy
- fl likes ml first
- the vibe is the same l, although TFM is with an more serieus note.

Both dramas feature:
- An unconventional queen that is not easily bullied, street smart, tough, and charming.

- A king that is outwardly weak and cowardly, but hides their strength and intelligence. Both also care deeply for their countries.

- A lead couple that initially were forced into marriage against their wills, but eventually fall in love.

- The MLs are both first aloof characters that seem to hate the FL. But later become jars of vinegar for their queens ?.

- An old villainous minister like character that controls the royal court and rivals the king.
-Slapstick humor that will keep you laughing out loud.

- Side characters that provide good support for the leads, as well as humorous side stories for the audience.

Key differences between the two dramas:
- Mr. Queen is more fantasy based since the FL has soul swapped with a time-traveling man. While The Legendary Life of Queen Lau has slight wuxia elements when it comes to fight scenes, but overall it's not really a fantasy drama.

Queen Lau reminds me of this old drama My Bratty Princess.

Both FL is funny and totally change the atmosphere of the palace once they entered.
Another thing is they're sassy and not easily bullied. They know how to fight back.
Both FL is the daughter of a high-grade official in the court.
Both assist the emperors and give them a whole new perspective on how to govern the country.

This was more realization to FL behaviour

Both have strong personalities and are humorous.

Has comedy yet there's still a content.

Both dramas are comedies that explore the topic of outward beauty versus inner beauty.

Filter allows the female lead to change her appearance and the male lead ends up falling for her in different forms before realizing they are all her while Queen Lau shows the female lead earning his love through her kindness and actions through a forced proximity/marriage kind of situation.

Both are funny and show how being yourself will land you the kind of love you deserve.

While very different in tone (TLLOQL is more comedic, BH more darkly tragic), both are about a battle of wits between an intelligent king/emperor and his crafty advisor who marries a member of his family (estranged daughter vs. adopted niece) to the king/emperor in order to try to control him. However the FL cares about the king/emperor and sides with him against her father/adopted uncle.

a princess trapped in a palace. she changed the entire palace to match her and also the prince (future king). Give the same vibes of FL and ML

Both have an unconventional FL entering the palace. The female lead changes the palace and herself as the story progresses.
The reluctance of the leads at the beginning to acknowledge their feelings is similar. Both address the development of love between a husband and wife after they are married.
