Not Niaoniao unintentionally gave wake up call to Lord Ruyang. His slap to that spoiled princess was so satisfying. "You're no match for Cheng Shaoshang" *chef kiss* hope we can see in the future, that Niaoniao with her own power schools those catty noble ladies. It just so funny to me when her brothers said that but only to realise few seconds after that they can't fight against GENERAL LING BUYI. He came with black armored guards too Sksksksk. OK there bound to be a rocky start for both of them in the stage of get knowing each other.

LBY and CSS starting to get to know each other. LBY uses his power and influence to tamp down anyone who maligns CSS but she does not see his affection behind this, for her it is just him asserting power. It's good that CSS tells him off in one scene he tries to control her habits. An important build up for character development in the future for both of them. WL and ZLS did well. Also, old Prince Ruyang was cool in this episode.

The charismatic yet overpowering way General Ling is defending his love is adorable. The way the story started from beginning to now, slow burn romance yet it takes us into who they are as individuals, her struggles as the uncultured neglected child, and his as a military man who has known only that hard type of life until it came matter of the heart, where marriage is brought up that they start this journey is beautiful. They are hurt by their past but paves way to a beautiful relationship (hopefully). Love it ❤️
