thank you for that. I am glad that at least one person knows what rape is and made a conclusion about what kind of relationship the leads had in the novel.

A lot of people make personal attacks on a person posting rather than discussing issues. I don't appreciate people's attitude of creating accusatory atmosphere toward MDL users rather than discussing points of view with courtesy.

If a person is not agreeing that is without consent.

If a person is drunk that is also without consent.

Rather than being angry, can we have a discussion about the content rather than hurt feelings of the MDL users????

The choking scene was too early in the drama.  In the novel, it takes place during the hunting season after Wei Shao discovered that Wei Yan had sexual desires for XQ.

He thought she had an affair with Wei Yan.

 

It was too soon it threw me off cause I didn’t remember him choking her. I probably missed that part.

It's just a drama.  The Hollywood films and Spanish/ French films show naked women which are even worse.

And also what is the angst level in the novel out of 10?

There are many misunderstandings although I can’t really pinpoint which ones will be in the drama. Important one in my opinion is Su Er Huang, she and Wei Shao are somewhat linked. it’s in the upcoming vip episodes.  Angst level probably 20/10 lol maybe I’m over exaggerating it haha

because of ep. 10 preview, i dived into the novel and browsed through from ch.30 to 78. Such bedroom scenes in the novel will never happen in the drama.

Having watched up to Ep. 10-11 and the 12-13 preview, i deduced that the adaptation has deviated from the novel and since the sequence of certain events has been rearranged, i won't bother reading beyond 78.

Will continue to follow the drama but will hold off if, further down the road, the drama is shown to be built on too much suspicion and distrust caused by Wei Yan and Su E Huang...
