Episode Title: Telling the Truth
Wei Yan leaves Yunju due to rumors of an affair between him and the Lady of Wei. Wei Shao begged him to stay, but he had no luck. Wei Yan kept begging him to please let him go and let him seize his fate. Yan went so far as to vow over his severed finger that as long as Lady Xu is alive, he would never raise a hand with Bianzhou to invade the Wei State. Lady Xu had fallen the night Yan went to speak with her and has now taken to her bed.
Wei Shao requested Lady Yu Lou's presence and asked if she knew Lan Yun, and she denied it, except that Lan Yun had already confessed. Eventually, Lady Yu Lou confesses but claims that it was all for the Wei State. General Liang brings out a battered Zi Xin, and Wei Shao tells Lady Yu Lou all he had revealed after each set of lashings. In the end, Lan Yun and Zi Xin were executed. Lady Yu Lou was given a military punishment and banished from Yunju. She heads to Liangya to forge an alliance.

typically MLs start rough and they loose that vibe as the drama progresses. This is not the case for Wei Shao in the way he is: investigation, torturing and punishing the culprits regardless of their relationship.

The conversation between Wei Shao and Wei Yan made me sad 😭😭😭😭 I wondered to myself if Wei Yan cut his finger because of some promise he made. Finally, Wei Shao put E Huang in her place. It was so funny when Wei Shao bragged to his generals that they were not married. As the generals said, Wei Shao and Xiao Qiao are getting closer every day. I hope we get to see more scenes of them 😻 I already guessed that Liu Yan and E Huang would get married

Finally Lady Y got a punishment that she deserved. I found it interesting when they described her back story. Yes she was unfortunate and had Wei Shao's brother survived she would not have been this way. However to attach his family the way she did was way out of order. Wei Shao may be sorry he didn't take her life for what she had done.

Yan makes his way to family. It is bittersweet. He has opted to bear the rumors solely so that Shao and ManMan can have a happy life. He has stepped up well. The severing of finger was shocking and the name of wine rather sad, but it was a fitting parting of ways and assurance that Wei family ties will always be strong. It was refreshing to see Yu Lou’s plans fall apart and justice served. He did the correct thing with punishment because she always did tend to cut off nose to spite face. This just made it plain for all to see. Yu Lou did have the right of it….he should have killed her.😝 She has now made allegiance with Liangya. I am not sure if she set all that up or if serendipity worked in her favor. But now she will have the position she said she feared most. The seriously bad part is ManMan’s plan for her family with tunnel will look like a sneak attack and work against Boya and Wei. Her sister is going to be most unhappy as she has already felt shunned due to hunt. Our two lovebirds can’t get a break. This would have happened eventually but YuLou has pushed the agenda forward exponentially to her slight. She will indeed bring hell to Lord and Lady Wei.
