Remembrance of Things Past (2021)

Although these dramas are listed as "prequel" and "sequel", the correct term would be "same collection". Both dramas stem from a collection of scripts that depict the story of a group of women and their way to finding "home". In Remembrance of things past they live in Beijing, in There Will be ample time, they are in Chengdu.

Both dramas have a similar vibe and some actors are the same but it's totally different story.
There is life, love, mother-daughter relationships, sismance (four women), death and different careers.

Both have females working in an office setting, making their way to success, both have an older woman/younger man relationship

It is a story of young men and women born in the 80s and 90s who meet in Beijing. Through their struggles in the metropolis, they hold on to their dreams and experience various tests in life, career, and love.

Both stories revolve around female friendships and relationships. Age of Youth is more comedic and ROTP has a more mature tone but I think if you enjoyed AOY you'll enjoy ROTP

Both shows revolve around a group of close friends who are in the workforce for a number of years. While BTIMFL has more romance, both dramas show workplace struggles and explores concerns about settling down.

There's also a quote from BTIMFL that always comes to my mind while watching ROTP: "Seoul is too cold."

Both dramas are modern C-dramas that show young people finding their ways through life.
Both are in an office setting and show struggles that people face in their work, but also in their lives.
They take different perspectives, Remembrance of Things Past gives a more serious view, whereas Later, I Laughed has more comedy.
There are multiple couples and multiple important/interesting side characters in both dramas.

Remembrance of the past dwells on the past and how it affects their present.
My liberation notes dwells on the present and questions the possibility of a way out.
Both seek closure in their own way.

Remembrance of Things Past is also about close friendship between the 3 female leads and their struggles with love, work, and daily life. If you enjoy good acting, good story telling, good pacing then you will also love Remembrance of Things Past.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

The realistic parts, the healing vibe, the mental health topic that was brought by the story. We could find them in these two dramas. That's why i was enchanted by them.

Going through the adulthood period is not easy. Every person is dealing with their own problem. Some people, because of some risk factors, need to endure more hardship. But, form those two dramas, i find hopes. The girls' friendship is a precious component there.
