We never should feel bad for a life we lived.

I fell in love with these characters over the course of this 10 episode series. Despite the main theme of the story being something that is brought up a ton in Japanese media, this story felt fresh and unique.

Having the story set up about the life of struggling comedians was a great idea. I loved Haruto's blunt nature, Shunta's infectious spirit and Junbei's unwavering quirkyness. Each of these characters felt so natural in their interactions with their banter being the highlight. Sometimes the dumb jokes were nonsensical but that's what makes this more believable. The fact that the jokes they had with each other didn't seem that funny to me spoke volumes about how realistic the friendship was. These are stupid little jokes only they would find hilarious. I really liked that aspect and was able to laugh along as they really made no sense to me. The sketches were beyond crazy. I had no idea what I was watching half the time lol. Make sure you stay until the end of the credits as they finish the sketches.I did find comfort in them just like how Rihoko did however.

Rihoko and Tsumugi had an important part to play as well. I resonated with both of their struggles as they hit really close to home. Rihoko is brilliantly acted by Arimura Kasumi and Tsumugi by Kotone Furukawa. I've seen these two together in so many shows now, it makes sense why they are paired together. They have wonderful chemistry. Rihoko probably has the most dramatic scenes in the series and steals the show whenever they pull one out. Tsumugi felt a little more one sided until they opened up about what her character was experiencing and it felt all too real. I thought her character had the most interesting reason for being the way she was. I will include Natsumi in this as well. Natsumi was a cutie, and I want all the best things for her. Her character motivations and demeanor were so wholesome. I really liked that there was practically no drama with her relationship with Everyone. I was half expecting a burst of emotion at the events but it was tempered with the story.

I also liked for the most part that the series is so light hearted despite such heavy subjects as suicide, life goals, mlms and failures. The themes resonate with anyone who are now in the midst of their adult years. I felt joy, sorrow and appreciation for how they depicted so many different subjects with pillowy tact. The show respects that things aren't really bad or good in all aspects and that was a core takeaway. We don't need to normalize taking the opposite route of everyone else is a bad thing. As long as we have faith in ourselves, it wasn't for nothing.

Sometimes it's ok to take the road less travelled if it means getting you closer to who you want to be.

The Comedy Skit Named Life That We Are All Living In.

Unfortunately, unlike the drama's name, Konto ga Hajimaru is not a sitcom kind of drama. It's the story of wasteful youth that we are all privileged to throw away. we make choices that we all wish to reach to the top, but in the end, most of the less lucky ones fail direly and wander with feelings of loss. In Asia, such wasting of youth is less tolerated from many people, if I am correct. We must make full of our youth for the future, and we have to work hard. Yet, not many recognize the effort. Not many approve such wasted times of grinding of the youths' own ways. Perplexed, disoriented, the youths who could not reach to their goals are left undone, and they have to begin again from the scratch. This is the story of the conte comedian groups that ground their life to devote into comedy, yet failed to reach to the popularity. With a mere aspiration, we start dreaming. For some people, it's because of the love. For some people, it's because of the friendship that motivated to live. And for some people, it's just because. I am the person that dreamt just because. I'm still feeling lost from the apotheosis of college graduation just a few months ago and I am too scared to make another gamble before turning into 30, and Konto ga Hajimaru was something that resonated within my heart. Yet, I must make my own move to start somewhere, and the drama definitely drove me a little. Here's to the people who would waste their flames inside the heart for the gamble of their youths, and here's to the people who are left in a crossroad of either stop dreaming or going for the broke. Here's to the younger me, who still did brave stuffs to dive into the gutter, yet will start again.

Not very entertaining but relatable and lovable

This drama is kind of grey... not very happy, not very entertaining there is not really much suspense, drama or heart fluttering moments... The cinematography is kind of boring,..

BUT

This drama probably has some of dreamlands most relatable characters, characters that feel like humans with a friendship some would kill to get...These characters are mostly lovable and have some pretty great lines showing the life and struggles of some what most people would call mediocre some even say looses... This group does however do a pretty good jobb redefining success without involving cliches and overly positive messages...

Though I will admit some of the gestures where to big and I did find myself slightly bored at times I loved them all and just wanted to join them for a beer and ramen...

life can be funny like that sometimes.

how do you know if you've won at life? is it by looking at how many times you've succeeded? your accomplishments? sure, if you like to think plainly—if you choose to see only in black and white. but life is a spectrum of colors wherein each one shines with the lives you've touched, the people your heart has reached, all the love you've received whether it be in the span of 10 years or a lifetime.

does failing equal losing? does it render all the time spent in struggle meaningless, worthless? life's punchline compels you to believe otherwise. macbeth's conviction to even last that long—long enough to make a fan out of someone like hiroko—is exactly what makes them victorious. one doesn't always immediately get rewarded for one's efforts and it could take as long as a decade to receive affirmation, but trust me when i say it will have been worth it! so while macbeth may not have made it as comedians in the industry, they certainly have to the ones who matter.

if you're reading this, just know that you too have won. in life, nobody genuinely loses. you are here, and you have won.

So so good and realistic

I actually watched this drama for Masaki Suda and Kasumi Arimura because I freaking love the pairing! Their chemistry is ughh 🩵🩵 But this drama is unexpectedly so so good!! It's not the usual type of drama and it's really realistic, so it might be not a cup of tea for some people but I love it! I learned a lot tho from this. This is really amazing becauss not so many drama portrayed the process of disbanding the group. The raw emotions and feelings felt so real. One of the things I love about Jdrama is their natural acting and no multiple angles. Sometimes, it feels like the three of them are really MacBeth, not just a fictional group. The way they joked around with each other, recalling their memories really felt so raw, I love it! 🥺🥺 Honestly, wish for the development of the main leads but the story is still good enough hehe definitely recommended for people who wanted to watch underrated and healing drama 🥰

"Journeying Through 'Macbeth': Unveiling Life's Truths and Redefining Paths"

"At first, I watched the show, thinking it was for joy and nightly laughter, but as I delved into the first episode, I discovered hidden tales, fragments of our perplexing reality, dancing on life's transparency and drawing us in.

I admired the idea of their separation, that group called 'Macbeth,' for we always rush after our dreams, dragging our ages within the folds of ambition, in a path that blends the pleasure of the journey and its pain together.

And sometimes, we reach an end, only to realize that a change of course is necessary, leaving moments of failure behind, regaining the balance of the journey, perhaps on a new path, wiser and more consciously, illuminating the trail of hope."
