Both drama are about a "perfect" capable career woman who just wants to sit back, relax and be a total mess inside her own house(gym clothes+beer+manga= happiness). Romance that makes our heroines both become comfortable with showing their true self and slowly make some space in their life for the male lead. Some up and downs but basically both are short, fun and sweet drama with a dose of ridiculous moments of course.
When I watch the first five minutes of Love Kome, I automatically thought of Hotaru and her sweatpants at home with a can of beer! They give us the same vibe of capable women working in an office but at home she is a totally different person.
Kajitani Mitsuki takes care to maintain a modest and refined appearance and has had a fair amount of experience dating men, but in truth, she is extremely uncomfortable with being led by men or engaging in sweet, intimate acts. As a result, none of her relationships have lasted, and she reaches the age of 24 without ever finding lasting love.
Then she begins dating Shinomiya Takayuki, an elite employee at a well-known trading company. However, on their first night together, something unusual happens. Just as they are about to begin being intimate, Shinomiya’s behavior seems somehow strange. In fact, Shinomiya also struggles with leading women and has been unable to overcome his complexes and trauma regarding sex.
Seeing Shinomiya blush and apologize, Mitsuki experiences her heart pounding for the first time. She becomes aware of her discomfort with the expectation that women must always be passive, and awakens to the fact that she has long wanted to be “the one who leads.” Meanwhile, in the face of Mitsuki’s assertive side, Shinomiya also begins to reveal feelings he had kept hidden all along.

Mizuhara Rio, a TL novelist with zero sexual experience, finds herself in a desperate situation after her editor shoots down her work, saying, “Your sex scenes have no realism.” Troubled, Rio meets Fujishima, a handsome but unfriendly bank employee. When Rio boldly begs him for some “field research,” saying, “Please show me how you masturbate!”, he shockingly agrees?!
Thus begins a top-secret “love lesson,” and while Rio is confused, it gradually turns into a sweet, intoxicating time in which they confirm their genuine love for each other. Where will this turbulent romance, beginning with their bodies, lead?

The main similarity is the on/off mode of our main character and their need to hide their insecurities and personality traits they think that contrast their "perfect" image(if you ask me everyone shows a different face depending on where they are anyway) . Another similarity is the sweet/demanding persona of the mls. Also both drama have a younger man/older woman romance.
Same with the 2003 version: The main similarity is the on/off mode of our main character and their need to hide their insecurities and personality traits they think that contrast their "perfect" image(if you ask me everyone shows a different face depending on where they are anyway) . Another similarity is the sweet/demanding persona of the mls. Also older woman/younger man trope happens in both.
