What a treat this show is. I'm officially adding Song Zu Er in the list of top notch actresses.The ability to make people laugh means these people hold pixie dust and know how to use it.
Laughing is the most precious trait of human "natural antidepressant" and those who can create it are some sort of magic healer. NOT LITERALLY GUYS.
The things I adored about this show: clothing is normal and not visibly head to toe top brands.
Worse mistake with Chinese drama is lack of relatability. Most of the time we are bombarded with products and clothing that are $$$$ no matter the character. Take Z. I could not stand him, he was covered in so much merchandise that the acting came third on the list of priority. In this show he's dressed normally (more or less-red coat is brand) and without the flashy clothing you can see HIM.
Also, WOMEN ARE DRIVEN AND AMBITIOUS and don't catfight for men's attention. I love the passion of school project, the temptation and the DILEMMA in between the desire to make it big BUT the hesitation when thinking for the welfare of the little people. Honestly, I totally relate. Well done.
PS- is Z voice his or he's dubbed ? The voice is soooooooooooooooooo sexy.

A Surprisingly Refreshing Drama
Legally Romance turned out to be such an unexpected gem. I went into it with absolutely no expectations and honestly, it blew me away.I actually only gave this drama a try after watching The Prisoner of Beauty, where I first noticed the female lead. She caught my attention there, and I was curious to see more of her work. At first, I had avoided Legally Romance because I wasn’t used to her acting style, and I was also a bit skeptical about the male lead due to his dramatic off-screen image. But I'm so glad I gave it a shot.
This drama is so good. I only skipped maybe 2 or 3 scenes, and even then, it was just because they were a little cringy, nothing major. Apart from that, I was fully engaged the entire time.
Every scene is either entertaining or genuinely funny. The comedic moments are well done without feeling over-the-top or awkward. The emotional scenes also hit the right notes, making the story feel grounded and heartfelt. It’s a really sweet and warm drama.
Surprisingly, even the villain didn’t annoy me too much. That’s rare! I found myself enjoying all the characters because they were written with depth and personality. They're relatable to me especially Qian Wei, who is around my age, which made her journey even more meaningful for me.
Overall, Legally Romance is a delightful watch with a good balance of humor, heart, and character growth. Definitely worth checking out !

Just wonderful. Great acting, great plot, so fun and heartwarming. Don't miss it.
Things I adored1 The plot. I'm not a fan of going back and change things plots because most times than not they start well to fail after a while and become nonsensical. Here it has been done so well it's believable and therefore much more impactful. I just fell in love with the concept and the way it was developed.
2 The father of the FL. His journey and his relationship with the FL and his family altogether made me cry more than once. It also made me laugh and yearn for my family. One of the best family dynamics I've ever seen. I wish I could start the drama again and re-experience everything I experienced while watching their family scenes. I wish he could be there until the end.
3 The FL. What a great actress. I never thought when I watched her profile that she could be that great. To be honest I think that she is the best Chinese actress based on this drama. I'm not sure yet how she'll fair with other dramas, this is the only one I watched her in but she was perfection. The difference between her younger self and the present self was done so well and she made it seem effortless. What surpassed me even more is that I never expected her to be that beautiful. Don't get me wrong, she's not unattractive, but at first I thought of her like any decent looking average actress. At the end of the drama and after watching her laugh, cry, be mischievous, be kind, be tough, be heartbroken, be in love I found her gorgeous.
I adored every scene she was in. She was so natural it felt like she didn't act. Her chemistry with everyone was perfect. Her family, her friends, the ML, the 2ML. I've never seen that to be honest. I also adored her character. She was smart, tough, kind, but also with faults and clueless therefore relatable. One of the best characters in a rom com, period. Oh, and I adored that she broke the 4th wall. Many don't like that in movies or series, but when it's well-done I love it. Here it was perfect. The actress delivered it with such talent I was looking forward to it.
4 The brother of the FL. What a great character and his relationship with the FL was perfect. It reminded me of my relationship with my brothers. The teasing, the love, the bond. The actor did a great job and made me connect with his character, with his struggles, his joys, his entire arc. I also loved his romantic relationship and the relationship he had with the ML. I'll be looking for other dramas with him.
5 The ML. He was perfect in his role. Do I find him particularly handsome? No. Did I like his haircut? Definitely no and I took my time to start the drama because of this. But what a great job he did that he made me forget haircut and everything after only one episode. His chemistry with the FL was unparalleled. Their banter, their friendship, their romance, everything was perfection. I couldn't have enough. this is the first drama I watch with him and have no idea how he fairs in other dramas but here he was absolutely perfect.
He was great as the college student in love, as the cold boss in present days, as everything actually. He impressed me and I rarely say that if ever. This was one of the best couples I've ever seen. I loved his character as well. So loyal, romantic, funny, driven. what else can you ask? Nothing.
6 The last scene, the one from their future. It was the scene I needed to make it absolutely perfect and they delivered even in that. Thank you all for such a great drama.
7 The humor. I have to make a separate entry about this because it's the first time I enjoyed so much the humor in a series that wasn't even pure comedy. It was so well done and between all characters that I enjoyed every minute of this. between the man leads, between friends, between the families.
Things I loved
1 The parents of the ML. They were a great couple although I regret we didn't see them a lot. I loved their relationship but also how they were with their son. Loving, supporting, and they made me laugh quite a lot.
2 That it was about lawyers. I love dramas with lawyers but usually they get boring after sometime or they fail at some level, usually relationship-wise. To be fair here the lawyer thing wasn't the focus, but still. It was a big part and I loved that and how they had principles and fought the good fight. We need that more than ever.
3 The 2FL. She was beautiful and talented. I connected with her in many cases, but there was something I didn't get. The music thing. Until the end I'm not sure what was going on. I also would have preferred her relationship with the 2ML was more developed in present day. Most of what we saw was in the past. It was good, but not enough.
4 The 2 ML. I could have hate him. He created enough problems for the main couple and he was a big part of the FL's life. But I didn't hate him. His arc was so well done that I felt for him more than anything else. I did get why he turned the way he did, and I'm happy with the ending. I loved his relationship with the FL, it felt real and I could relate to both. I also loved his relationship with the ML. That also was well done. The whole drama is a study of how to write good and relatable characters and fall in love with them even when you're not supposed to. The actor also did a good job to portray a nuanced character.
5 The 3Fl, Zi Xin. To be honest, I don't like the actress much, and I can't imagine her as a main lead. I imagine her as the villain more, and I was ready to dislike her in this drama as much as I disliked in her in other dramas. But once again her arc was well done and you can't help but like her and want her to succeed. This is what makes this drama perfect, that there's nothing to truly dislike.
6 The mother of the FL. I loved the actress and how well she embodied her role as the lovable spouse as well as the understanding and supportive mother of two smart and sassy children. Great job.
Things I disliked
1 I can only think of one. The music thing with the 2FL. I'm not sure what was the joke. I know I must be dense but what did they say? Could or couldn't she sing? Confusing and to be honest, not that funny after a while. Luckily it didn't take too much time, but it was still annoying.
Things I hated
1 The true villains, but this is also something that adds to the perfection of this drama. I hated the abused woman arc and of course the stupid CEO who was a bit of a caricature villain to be fair, but well, she wasn't a big part of the story so I can overcome this.

One of my favorites! Def would rewatch again.
Legally romance makes me so much emotions in every episode. I could feel happy and then feel absolutely destroyed and flabbergasted the next minute and then somehow shy, a very extreme emotional roller coaster. I can feel the emotions of the characters the actors/actresses. There's not much to critique about except the fact that the FL is sometimes annoying and a teeny tiny bit naive.The music/sounds goes perfect with the lines and acting, I LOVE the cast. There's nothing much to say about how good this drama is, it's one of my favorites, somehow.
This is a drama I would erase my whole memory just so I can rewatch it again! (I hate rewatching things)

What would you do if you could go back in time & change your life...?
I stumbled upon this drama while browsing for a new drama to watch, and I do NOT regret it! While the first episode-ish got off to a bit of a slow start, the drama's plot soon picked up once Qian Wei's dream started.The drama becomes so entertaining, funny, and touching once the dream starts. It was so touching to see all the things little Lu Xun did for her over the years & how his love for her still persists...even 10 years later.
There were definitely moments I cried/got teary-eyed. And as some other reviewers said, all of the characters were well written. Even our protagonists are not perfect.
The music is pretty good; I really love Z. Tao's song <3 If you're thinking about watching this drama, I highly recommend! It's super sweet & entertaining!! <33

Not what you'd expect, but defo touching & sweet
This was not at all what one might expect from the title or from the official blurb. To start with, it is not a legal drama…the characters just happen to be law students and lawyers. A woman is stuck in a dead-end job under a relentlessly picky boss. After getting professionally back-stabbed—at possibly career-ruining levels—by her ex-boyfriend, she gets into an accident and seems to time-travel back 10 years, where she has the chance to try and re-do her years in university.Her choices end up focusing on her current boss, who appears to be the villain competing for every good thing in her life for years, ever since they studied together as classmates. However, as the “time-travel” part of the show plays out, she realizes that many of the choices he made which seemed to go against her…were actually quiet expressions of his heartfelt care for her. This initially seems like a sci-fi rom-com, but turns out to be a touching slice-of-life melodrama that happens to center around a romance and include moments of comedy. Also deals with societal expectations, grief, and poverty as a decision-driver. All with lots of sweet romantic scenes peppered in.
One of the funnier and more thought-provoking side storylines includes the female lead desperately trying to avoid a guy at university who she knows that she will date and then break up with in the future. But it’s tricky trying to explain to the infatuated guy why she refuses go out with him…without telling him that in the future he will turn from a dedicated sweetheart into a back-stabbing scumbag. If she tells him, would it change his choices? Would it change who he becomes? Or is he unavoidably destined for scumbaggery? Oh, the drama!

Surprisingly Good. I liked the ML & FL. They were lovely together.
I enjoy bickering between the leads so this was fun to watch. It did drag a bit during the dream sequence and I wondered how long before we get back to the reality.The drama was very low on misunderstandings. I especially love how the Mo Zi Xin handled things both in dream sequence and in reality. She was such a good supporting character (a self-proclaimed one at that).
The 2nd couple was also enjoyable to watch. They just needed to shorten the drama by a few episodes and it would have been golden, but I loved it.

such cuties
this was soo good!!! while it was really melodramatic at times and i would have liked a different ending it was still so fun and nice to watch. it did turn a little dark towards the end, and i'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. yes it added to the plot, but i found the interactions between lu xun and qian wei enough. love their relationship sm and i hope i find someone who loves me as much as they do each otherit was a great drama. not on the top of my lists but definitely somewhere up there!

Fresh and unique ❤️ Loved it
Really enjoyed this series ❤️Both ML & FL were great in their respective roles. Both were the best choices for these roles in my opinion - can't imagine any other actors that could have pulled this off as they did. Also enjoyed the side characters.
The story is fresh and unique and can't recall any other series that's similar to this. Binged this series as there were no dull moments and kept me wanting to see the next episode.
I loved the songs played through out the series, perfectly chosen and played at the right moment and will definitely add some to my Playlist.

I enjoyed every minute of this drama
This drama is captivating from beginning to end. It's important not to miss details...small things mean a lot. It'd be fun to watch it again to see what I missed the first time.Things I liked:
1) Female lead. I liked her much better in this drama than in "To Fly With You" (can't seem to get past ep 29 in that skating drama...) I like when she breaks the 4th wall. She does a great job in this drama, playing herself in different ages convincingly.
2) Male lead. At first, I thought it was an interesting casting choice. It's still interesting, but interesting in a very good way. The actor is perfect for this role. He's very natural in it. After finishing the drama, you really can't imagine anyone else playing the ML.
3) Story. I like what if stories, but sometimes they can be done wrong. I like how the overall message reiterates that as much as you might want to live in the what if, reality is where you need to be and where you can make a difference.
4) Good handling of "others." I don't like dramas where the "others" are constantly trying to sabotage the mains' relationship. There might be some competition, but it's not petty.
5) Ending. Justice prevails, and there is hope. I like that.

Cute and interesting
I find the story very much instresting and on how the sequence of events acted. The casting did a great job in selecting the cast for this drama. They have portrayed their roles fantadtically. The chemistry of the main couple is undeniably surfaced. I LOVE THEM BOTH SOOO MUCH. They have never failed my expectation for this drama. Honestly,I'd love to ship thosevtwo. They're so cute.The story is 100% nice for me.A job well done to the script writer and the director!Kodus to all the staffs,crews,and casts. Hoping for another project for the ZiTao and Song Zu'er. God bless to them and more blessing for their careers. All the cast deserve a praise. A round of applause to all of them.

Unexpectedly amazing!
I didn’t think I would love this show so much when I first started watching it, but I quickly became surprised. If you are hesitating, just go for it!Pros:
Second leads are supporting and don’t try to hurt the people they love. SML is obsessed for sure and that is a slight con, but the sfl is a doll.
The acting is on point! The way they carry their characters through the whole story without changing their personalities is so very rare to see in a drama. Loved it. Also they are super realistic. Like the (not to give spoilers) certain scene on top of the Ferris wheel was so good, realistic and funny.
Music, camera work, editing were all top notch.
I didn’t really get bored at all. There are a few episodes that drag out a bit, but over all it was a good pace and kept you wondering what was going to happen in the next episode.
Cons: SML is a little over obsessive. I get that it’s his character, but he didn’t need to be quite so clingy.
FL is a little demanding to ML especially when he was so patient with her for so many years. Not too horrible tho it mostly fits her character.
Over all a really great watch. I am super picky about the shows I watch too. 👍 from me! I want to see more shows produced like this in the future.
