Both stories about a young man becoming a stepfather to a middle age woman kids however Starman has more fantasy/science fiction while Papadol! is about an idol.

Both have the alien plot and have young guy, older woman couple.

Same concept of the alien going into a dying man's body and falling in love with the woman.
