A Very Fun Light Watch
Yes, the production value is low, low budget, random actors/actresses, mediocre acting, etc. But this drama is very fun to watch, and honestly none of those matters compared to plot/story. The director and screenwriter is the original author, so if you like the novel you will definitely like this. The main character here is probably the best and coolest ML ever. Very strong but hides his power until its needed, knows what he wants, definitely not naïve, and is not a lovesick puppy. Simple story, simple writing, but still manages to be very entertaining and funny, I can't wait for next episode every time, very suitable for binge watching, The pace starts out very fast but it does slow down a little at 20+ ep but it is still faster than the average dramas.And the best part? No angst, none of those annoying bullshit trope in all those xianxias and what not, no misunderstanding, no "losing powers," no toxic love rival, none of those usual annoying tropes in most other dramas. Most of the villains are comedic reliefs which is fun to watch, we know they are going to lose like immediately because the main character is overpowered and it feels great watching main character who is not hopeless. Yes, I'm aware that this trope is quite common in novel and manhua, BUT none of those gets live adaptation ever, so hey, this is the best thing to that in live action format! We barely got any xuanhuan adapted if any, but instead all we drama viewers got are all these endless angsty xianxias.
I wish there will be season 2 but it's very unlikely but who knows. It is unfortunate that the donghua also looks low budget, the manhua looks pretty bad, and novel is... just text.

The story line of this drama is very captivating and addictive always making me anticipate the next episode to come out,. Aside the low production value, the drama was really interesting and I would love to watch it again, I just hope that they could make a season 2 quickly. This drama isn't done yet. I hope to see from more of these actors, although in only familiar with two of them i.e. Zhan Yu as 'Qin Chen' and Zong Feng Yan as 'Zhao Gao the emperor of Xuan', I really liked the other actors in the dramas. I hope for more from Dominator of Martial Gods as well as it's cast cause their story isn't done yet.Overall, leaving the production quality aside, this is one of the most interesting Wuxia dramas I've watched this year and ive watched almost all that has come out.
So I recommend this for anyone who wants to watch a good drama with a good storyline just hope un don't mind the production value or quality.

No stress no drama series with OP MC that will save the world
Agree with lots of the reviews, watch this if you like the tag line where the MC is reincarnated with OP knowledge and saves the world. No stress and fuss, just straight up fun story to watch that has the fillings of a manhua wuxia series.No sudden lost of powers
No bad decision making
No all of a sudden you friends has miscommunications and get you into trouble
No girlfriend who turns against you
No oppression from the King
No torture or being captured
Straight forward smart MC OP to the top! good watch

A god among humans
The story is basically about a god, presented as a human, being admired and praised for how "unfathomable" his powers are in comparison to the human's standards... and it honestly felt great to have a hero who isn't a victim and spends half the story getting beaten up. I thought it would give very little space for character development, since he's already so powerful from the start, but with his new opponents coming stronger and stronger, he had to keep up with the cultivation so they still managed to make it entertaining until the end. He still could have used a bit of personal development as well though.The ML isn't humble or particularly nice, understandable given his status, but he could have avoided most of the conflicts if he wasn't such a disrespectful brat. Although it did creat some funny scenes. But he is of a kind nature and did a lot of good around him.
Most of the characters didn’t have much background so it was a little hard to connect with them, but there were some good ones in the mix.
The FL was barely present and had basically no impact on the story, not a fan of the actress’s acting but not bad. The scenes with the Master of Dan Pavilion and ML were annoying, not sure why they put so many of them.
It was funny to watch all of the masters being amazed by ML's knowledge and skills - trying to help him to be in his good grace - while all the other low grades fighters were trying to belittle and mock him xD such a contrast.
I hope Season 2 comes soon!

Interesting
I am infact liking this drama. Usually there are too much blood vomit in other dramas after a fight. But the ML is confident and strong here for a change. He has memories of his past thus naturally he is stronger then the othérs as he was. God. Usually dramas have too much bullying and crying but for a change though there is bullying ML is not affected.No romance but it's okay. The female lead is just Ok. Not much happening on her side.
The story is mainly ML preparing for his revenge as he was betrayed by his lover and friend.
Martial arts and effects and wonderful. I would say this drama is refreshing in a way

A good male lead and story plot in the midst of confused romance and female dominant tv shows
Well - don't watch this if you are a girl who loves pschyo thriller types like Bloody romance or Princess agents.. or enjoy this Legend of Shen li types.Role of the hero is dominant - He thinks from many angles and really deserves to be the hero and does not need advices from ladies including his mom like these majority of current tv shows are confused with and display as if that's what people like ...
Question is with this clarity in thinking how did he get into the situation of cheated by his lover and friend that he considered. Perhaps he trusts people a lot.... which is important if one wants to be the top leader... Lets see how the rest of the seasons work... Great show
Acting is by a lot of rookie artists as the big artists perhaps are keen on women dominant shows .. lol
Hence my overall rating is higher inspite of low rating for acting

Very fun indeed!
As others have pointed out, the production is very low budget, random terrible acting, laughable CGI that looks like different webcam backgrounds, arcade game sound effects but none of that even matters. The story was very interesting and held my attention throughout the entire show. No throwaway episodes whatsoever. The one thing I would say that I didn't like was the portrayal of all of the women, besides his mom and Pavillion Master, were insane. Most were overacting but the immediate accusations thrown at him upon meeting him was a little strange. Other than that, the ML was very cool. I would love to see these types of characters in more shows. Glad this drama left out all the xianxia tropes including the hopeless, angsty romance that dooms the ML. Brilliant
Although the actors are fairly unknown I thought they did very well,each of them brought something to the drama,I think it was low budget as some of the props were very obvious,but saying this, I couldn’t stop watching it and it made a change to have so many special effects…average story.I thought he would have gone back to the beginning to avenge himself,but he didn’t,overall though,I thought it was brilliant…it made a change not to have a big love story,.I’d certainly watch it again.

Addicting
This is one that has felt incredibly satisfying from start to end. An overpowered ML who grants punishment left and right to vicious characters around him. What I love about the ML is his nonchalant personality while maintaining absolute awareness. He isn't one who annoyingly falls in love at first site over a pretty woman nor is he overly righteous as with some other characters. So it's quite refreshing to watch how he wins those around him over and how he metes out retribution. While I'm not always a fan of overpowered characters who have little need for character development, it's not a problem here because he's the trigger for creating character development for everyone around him.The only real drawback for me here was the action scenes and the special effects were pretty lackluster. But the lore was intriguing enough and the plot flow was great. I found myself halfway through the episodes already saddened by how few remaining episodes there were. I even attempted to check out the animation to potentially continue the story but on a side-by-side scene comparison, the live action one was definitely the better of the two for me. So it's really a shame there hasn't been another season yet after three years.
Although the story is incomplete, they ended it well without some crazy cliffhanger - with exception of the last female on scene who might be the only annoying character so far. I highly recommend for those who actually enjoy a good plot rather than just a high-budget production piece with idol actors who can't act at all.

this is a story about a Martial God who fell to earth.he apparently still have his memories intact and also the previous owners.

the storyline in not very engaging I have no clue of what purpose the story is heading other then the ML trying to return back to his former home.
Quite draggy some plot that should have been solved immediately or within few minutes is dragged over the place passing few ep.
I feel dump and numb watching this although I watch it to kill time. Things I would think that is better left unsaid ended up being said which I think is quite obvious killing the suspense and mysteriousness of the characters.
I don't feel threatened from anyone Towards the ML other then few jealous people which I'm getting annoyed with - feels overuse.
Acting
other then the ML, I don't find others acting very convincing. The master and ML cousin just doesn't seem to fit right with me.
almost every other characters don't seem evil enough or funny enough which seems like a joke
Upside
a new fresh story where there is no fl focus.
ML is not typical weak after a fight.
I tried my best before writing a review but looks like I might end up dropping this if they continue on

This drama is a hidden gem
I searched for drama with no romance i was bored with cliche romance ruining a great drama... I reached this drama it was really s hidden gem i started without expecting anything it really overcome all my expectations even though production was little low drama is really absolutely awesome and male lead he is such a good actor hope to see him in more drama . I really hope producers make good dramas like this not focusing on just some cliche romance but having good stories and characters waiting for second season ❤Was this review helpful to you?
You will love this drama for sure.
If you are the person who likes to have the mean lead always the winner at any circumstances then this drama is for you. you will never get worried about something may happen to him because he is strong although he he looks like him but he is strong and you will love the mean lead like the male lead you will love him.I was honestly hesitant to watch this drama because some reviews says that the cgi is not great. I am very particular on cgi editing. I still watched it though because many says it has a great story line. I kind of like the story but what I like the most about is the lead actor honestly, I like seeing his face all the time he is really giving the dominant aura that the character needs.
It is really low budget drama but it is still giving. You may get disappointed on the cgi at first episodes but you will get used to it as you continue watching it. Other characters are so random people like they are just extra but they got to have a few lines but you will understand it because it is a low budget trauma so you will not mind it anymore when you you are watching it.
