What a beloved feeling~
Took me a while to finally watch this and I do have to say that it's different than what I had imagined. It's really good and I would tell all of my friends to watch it (if only I had any).For some reason, Ji-ung wasn't doing it for me until the end of the drama. Maybe it was because he was kind of making a move on his best friend's ex girlfriend? Idk.
I didn't understand why the camera man kept filming Ung's ear or the back of the actor's head.
Anyway, it was good. Liked it a lot.

The couple I've waited all year for.
You're pretty smart. You probably figured out the ending, or at least the one you hoped for. If you think the beginning is a little weak, hang in there, the last half paid off and the ending was chefs kiss perfect. One of my favorites. The rare drama where a second season could work and be just as good as the first.I said it all with the headline, but i could watch another 16 episodes where the leads reminisce about their first dates, who fell for who first...pull weeds, fold laundry and put away cabbage. And the cherry on top, the supporting cast storyline, is really, really good.
If we were friends and you didn't fall in love with this, I'd be worried about you.

giving this series A SECOND CHANCE
when this series first aired, i wanted to love it, but halfway through, the story didn’t compel me enough to continue, so i dropped it. fast forward to 2024, i was in a drama slump, and when i saw the series on Netflix, i decided to give it another try. and i’m glad i did.the reason i dropped it initially was that the story felt quite mundane. there were no surprising twists or moments of intense drama to keep me on the edge of my seat. ironically, that same quality became the reason i grew to love it after giving it another chance. as the years have passed and i’ve gotten older, i’ve come to appreciate stories about everyday life more. a story doesn’t always need to be extravagant or packed with thrills–just like life itself.
the entire cast of this drama truly delivered. Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Shik had amazing chemistry and looked so good together. however, my favorite was Park Jin Joo; her character brought so much joy to every scene she was in! and oh how i felt bad for Kim Sung Cheol’s character. he deserves love and happiness.
at the end of the day, i’ve realized that everything comes down to mood and timing. if a drama doesn’t resonate with you now, consider revisiting it in the future—you might find yourself appreciating it in a whole new way.

I'm an emotional mess
I'm not gonna lie, it took me a while to watch this drama, but i didn't wanna rush it. I wanted to savor every second and I'm glad i did.It was amazing, i loved the peace they set, the way they keep showing you past and present, the way you slowly get to know everyone.
The cast was excellent: i cried and laughed so much!
The characters all had a personality and more or less it got represented so well!
The music was a m a z i n g: i might be biased about Christmas tree but all of the songs made for this drama where great!
I'd definitely rewatch this drama again just to cry like a bitch in the end!

An expected review
I have wanted to watch this k-drama because it featured two of my favourite actors and I am happy I finally did it. At first, I thought it was going to be a simple and relaxing love story but how wrong I was, it was so much more complex and touching. Full of emotions it touched on topics such as youth, growing up, changing, love, friends, family, loneliness, trusting and abandoning issues and even not as clear depression. I am not gonna lie sometimes it was overwhelming but the way they made it so realistic and relatable for any class age was one of the reasons that made me like this k-drama so much. Another reason was the action was so raw and beautiful again made me love the drama all the characters had a purpose to represent something in my view even if it was only for comedic relief, the plot was interesting and how everything got wrapped up was so satisfying. And I really recommend everyone to give this drama a try it´s worth it, they made me giggle and laugh through it all but also cry and be angry, the cinematography, the ost, the production and the actors collectively made this a 10/10.Was this review helpful to you?
Love is indeed sweeter the second time around!
For the love of DamShik and OBS, here you go.It's been months since the show ended but I haven't moved on from WoongYeonsu yet, blame it to Kim Dami & Choi WooShik oozing chemistry.
I really thought that OBS was romance-comedy but gosh, I was so wrong. I ended up crying in every episode. LOL The first few episodes were somewhat heartbreaking BUT I see the beauty in it. The drama is beyond perfection from the cast, plot, cinematography, and its OST. I couldn't think of any other actors who can deliver the characters of Yeonsu & Woong as good as Dami & WooShik, Their high school and college look still amaze me.

More than just a romance
I really love how the plot was written. It is predictable, simple, sometimes boring but I love how the writer tried to use relatable emotions to make the story a great piece of art. I love how this series captured adulting life, the traumas, relationship with parents, friends and lover, the decisions we make everyday that makes us mature a little each day. I love the portrayal of that through this series.Of course, who wouldn't love the casts? Their chemistry are top-notch. DaMi and WooShik look great together on-cam. I feel butterflies in my stomach whenever they are on a lovey-dovey mode. Matched up with the superb OST songs. It was all perfect.
I really recommend this series if you're someone who's just looking for a light-hearted story with minor tear-jerking scenes. You'll definitely fall in love with this series.

Sweet, refreshing, the characters will take you away.
It had all the aspects of a typical romantic Kdrama, but presented it in a new and refreshing way. The two main strengths of this drama were the storyline, and the main actors. The storyline showed the reality of how relationships are impacted by the pressures and insecurities of being human. I like that the main characters were flawed, yet they found a way to overcome and still come together. I like that the main characters were stubbornly themselves, instead of being cliched, throughout the entire story, which showed the realities of how hard it is to be ourselves and be together all at the same time. They had to work at their relationship. It wasn't a perfect fairytale.The highlight of this drama were the actors, of which there were several, but I will focus on the two main characters, Choi Ung (Choi Woo Shik) and Kook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) first. Equally strong characters actors who partnered together to carry the audience through an array of emotional angst, insecurity, happiness, new love, then anger and love rekindled. It was if I could feel what they were feeling by watching their emotions bubble up through their very souls, into their eyes, and onto they're facial expressions. This connection held me through the entire drama. Equally strong in their roles were the side characters, especially Kim Sung Choel.
There was a third strength to this drama, and that was the music. The right music was patterned with the right scene, and kept you completely immersed in the story. I noticed the music, but I didn't, which means it was done very well.
A really good story. I finished it quickly because I kept wanting to see the next episode. And was sad when it ended. Well done to all the production cast and crew on this one!!!

Love takes time and a lot of understanding
OKAY now I never expected to like this drama since this is the first work of Choi Woo Sik that I will ever watch. Kim Da Mi on the otherhand, watched her in Itaewon Class but barely finished it because it was just not my cup of tea. BUT BACK TO THE DRAMA.This drama has all the tropes that I genuinely love. Haters to lovers, highschool sweethearts, exes to lovers again, slow burn and it even has a strong female lead, which I find so cool. I literally cried the first episode! And the first episode isn't even that sad. The SFL and SML didn't even irritate me. Their chemistry is chef's kiss and the sweet scenes were enough to make me wiggle my toes and feel butterflies in my stomach.
Also, Yeonsu's (The main female lead) story is so understable and realistic! Even the reason for their break up is so realistic. Everything in this drama is realistic that is why I love it so much.

a second chance at romance
Can two people break up and fall in love once again to create a much stronger relationship? Our Beloved summer is about friendship and family, what creates a healthy relationship that has boundaries, taking responsibility of your own values while trying to not be a savior of another's.I hate the prolonged misunderstanding plot, so a sole plot progressing material was that, I didn't have the best expectations and thought I would dislike it so much. but as you may see, although still not the best, it was a solid slow burn, glad that I did not rush watching it.
The drama is a study on human psychology, it showed how we can interpret and misinterpret certain events from the past differently. this is executed well in the drama, using different POV's of the character's in same situations.
we have basically no plot, just daily lives of our characters and their relationships, so lets talk about them.
NJ was a favorite of mine, she truly fell in love with Ung and had amazing character development in the show, it's just sad that she had to fall in love with someone who doesn't like her back, nothing on Ung but she needed a better ending than that, also had such little screen time when categorized as a main.
Yeonsu was hard to watch at first but grows with you overtime, Kim Dami was the reason I watched, so I'm glad seeing her amazing performance here. we start off seeing the character full of entitlement, a quote from a book I am reading perfectly described her "I suck and the rest of you are all awesome, so I deserve special treatment". Because of her poor financial situation, she became lost and entitled but gets to understand and rest her insecurities before the credits roll.
Ji Ung was personally a relatable character, always on the background and could never tell what he really felt, pain in so many levels, adding to that is his horrible situation with family, it showed why noble sacrifice is terrible, we should always confront rejections and pain, not hide and cover from it.
in the show we have an artist + a producer as part of the main cast, so exceptional cinematography was expected, good techniques and uses of light, that rain kiss scene is still in my mind vividly. Music was amazing, I sooo loved "Christmas Tree" by V and "Drawer" by 10cm
during the end we are treated with a drawing of Yeon Su, which symbolizes that the loneliness and insecurity from drawing only buildings was no longer there, they were a couple the complimented each other, and made themselves a far better version. also ends with a marriage documentary, it was a clever ending after starting off in a high school documentary. I'd like to praise this show for it's uncoventional take on second chance romances, must watch!

Cute and sweet
I rarely watch shows that are ongoing, since I prefer binge watching, but this was worth the wait each episode. I wasn't hanging from a thread in dire need of a continuation; I was content and quite intrigued.The cast was really well picked. I've only ever seen the FL in Itaewon Class and it was really nice seeing her in this role. The story was great (not AMAZING but it did sum up a realistic childhood-to-adult-life relationship). The music was PERFECT. I have no complaints.
Everything ended quite nicely too and nothing seemed really forced. I recommend watching if you are looking for a lowkey, cute, modern, non-intense drama.

১৯৯৭ সালের মুভি ক্রাইম/হরর জনরার মুভি I Know What You Did Last Summer। একটা গ্রুপ ট্যুর দিয়ে আসার পথে চার বন্ধু একটা এক্সিডেন্ট করে। আহত ব্যক্তিকে হাসপাতালে নেয়ার পথে তারা পুরো ব্যাপারটাকে ধামাচাপা দেয়ার জন্য লাশটা একটা খাদে ফেলে চলে যায়। তারপর অনেকদিন পর সবার জীবনেই কিছু অদ্ভুত ঘটনা ঘটতে থাকে যেটার যোগসূত্র পাওয়া যায় সেই এক্সিডেন্টটার সাথে।

বিখ্যাত Before ট্রিলজির দ্বিতীয় কিস্তি Before Sunset (২০০৪) যেখানে অনিচ্ছ্বা সত্ত্বেও একটা ট্রিপে গিয়ে জেসি আবার সিলেনের দেখা পায়। পুরান প্রেম জোড়া লাগে।
উং আর ইয়ুন-সু দুজনকেই কিডন্যাপ করে একটা ট্রিপে নিয়ে আসা হয় যেখানে তারা তাদের আগের ট্রিপের স্মৃতি রোমন্থন করে।

একশান কমেডি কিং Ryan Reynolds এর ২০০৫ সালের মুভি Just Friends এর রেফারেন্স টানা হয়েছে এই এপিসোডে। মুভিতে দেখা যায় স্কুল লাইফে জেইমি ক্রিসকে ফ্রেন্ডজোনড করে রাখে কারণ দেখতে সে খুব একটা সুবিধের ছিল না। দশ বছর পর আবার যখন তাদের দেখা হয় তখন তারা বুঝতে পারে যে তারা একে অন্যের প্রেমে পড়েছে!
