Episode Title: Conspiracy
The police call Lin Shen in for questioning because his client, Sun Dong, suddenly goes missing. Sun Dong's family insists Lin Shen guided Sun Dong with hypnosis to worsen his depression. Lin Shen and Shao Ning think there's more than meets the eye to Sun Dong's disappearance after analyzing the case. There seems to be a conspiracy against Lin Shen, which might even harm the people around him.

Gong Jun is as good-looking as ever, and he gives a convincing and satisfying portrayal of his character, Lin Shen, as a highly capable professional. This episode really highlights his restrained but expressive acting, especially as Lin Shen struggles with the emotional burden of protecting the people he cares about.I genuinely feel sorry for Lin Shen. Watching him break up with Xiao Xiao because he believes being with him would put her in danger is heartbreaking. :-(

Although the breakup logic is pretty over-the-top, Xiao Xiao’s reaction is excellent. A heartbroken girl could have thrown a tantrum or clung desperately, but she didn’t. She left decisively, giving herself space to reflect. Once she came to terms with it, she understood the reasons behind the breakup and even analyzed things behind the scenes. This shows the behavior of a mature person. I feel very sorry for everything Lin Shen has been through.
