Life is hard but worth-living!

I actually believe that life was hard. We dream and we fail but then again life continues. I have a lot of failures, rejections and trials in life but luckily I value the life I had. This series reminded us that life is truly difficult for other people, we can't just expect them to be okay on their own. Sometimes - just like what they say - a little tap and "how are you" can make a difference. What more if you put your heart and soul in helping them.

To be honest, I dropped this series before because it was ongoing. It was hard to keep waiting and got myself focused on old series or complete series that time. And even it was finised I haven't had the courage to continue thinking that I dropped it and might not what I expected. Luckily, thanks to Tiktok and its recommendation, I finally was able to continue and finish it. There were a lot of dramas on hold on my list but because of content creators recommendations I was able to somehow pick what should come first.

Moreover, there are series that we fell in love with the actor because of its character. For this series, Lee Soo-hyuk who played Park Jung-gil grew on me. His character was tough, serious but the back story they have was solid. I just loved him on this series. I appreciate him here - not knowing he was the main character of S-Linr I also recently finish. I just got curious on his other series so I looked it up and got me realized that it was really him- the guy with a lot of Sline.

Nonetheless, it was a good drama. I cried a lot. Not every episode, but most of the episode. Without highlighting much and spoiling much, my favorite episode was the dog. I do not have a dog, but it hits! Life is hard but worth-living!

SO AMAZINGGGG!!!

This K-drama was absolutely amazing. I was kid of hesitant to watch it at the start but once I started I got fully addicted to it. Not only was the storyline amazing, Ro Woon's acting was 110% at all times. All actors made their characters feel alive and whilst bursting with emotion didn't make the performance feel fake. The storyline was beautiful and whilst I'm not a romance fan, the little bit of romance that was in the show was very cute and made the show that much better.

Cha joo ik looks soo good

The drama was really good, the story line, cast, osts everything on point. The drama hit at all the right places, seeing how suicide is a big concern these days.....
ngl I originally started the series for Cha Joo ik but the female lead stole the show for me! she was soooo good. The world is soo unfair and this drama highlights all the wrong parts but also shows why you shouldn't give up and that someone is always gonna be by your side even when you think you're alone. Over all this drama was worth the watch

Absolute Favourite

Grim Reaper, ghost hunter, alien, vampire mystical being always being my favourite genre. When I watched trailer of this drama I remember thinking, this is interesting. And I always watched the drama without remembering any of the actor/actress name. I am good with faces, never with names. And in this case, no one I knew (I know, sorry).

The first one or two episode into, it was quite boring. But I continued because it got me curious as to what will happen to the part time grim reaper. If you are a fan of Jdrama or anime, you knew instantly that this type of person will bring changes eventuality. So, I hang on. Then, it started to kick off with more drama and played with your emotion. I will balled my eyes out at the end of every episode. I AM HOOKED. And the cast, there were soooo good, even the one that only appear as a minor role in every episode. The emotion, the pain, the joy were so real. I feel them. And I can of get it, why people have mixed opinion towards this drama. It might trigger the one that have issues. So, you might want to avoid this drama if you fall under that categories.

For me, a job well done. Not much of the drama/film can capture the harsh reality of our society. In particular the cyber bullying. People hide behind their computer screen and nickname, calling names and leaving negative comments without realising damages done to people that receiving the negatives comments. Convenient, right?

And since now I am recognising the faces of all the main cast (still cant remember their name), I am looking forward to watch more drama from them.

Mental Health Care

As much as I loved it as a narrative and jumping off point for meaningful discussion, I have to point out the conspicuous lack of mental health care. Suicide prevention 101 is that you don't yell at the person and you escort them directly to a mental health care facility or hospital, never sending them off alone after. That may sound like splitting hairs but it gets to my next - and more significant point - which is that the kind of depression suicidal people have would require medication and intensive treatment because it is not just a mood or a temporary state of mind. It is a disease with physiological causes and it's so hard to recover from because even when you "know" that life is worth living and you are worthy of a good life, you can't "feel" it. Even if you can drive the bad thoughts away temporarily, they keep coming back. Not to mention the strong correlation with other mental illnesses like bipolar disorder. All attempted suicide cases or people who are at-risk for suicide need to follow up with long-term care to really heal. Reducing the stigma around mental health care, helping build people's trust in it, and making it affordable need to be included in any critical analysis or deep dive into suicide. I recently watched Dreath's Game and I found Tomorrow to be much more empathetic but both focus too much on trying to guilt people out of killing themselves. Considering your loved ones is certainly important, but scaring people with threats of hell or eternal punishment is not the right approach. Daily Dose of Sunshine and Doctor Slump are the only two K-dramas I can think of that portray depression and suicide treatment accurately.

Heartfelt, fun story.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching this show and binged it in only a few days. I really liked how they incorporated many different poignant, controversial, and/or taboo topics such as miscarriage, sexual assault, comfort women, grieving loss, etc. There were multiple episodes where I was balling my eyes out because the messages were so relatable. Even with the many emotions, I still walked out of the drama feeling like it was a fun watch. Overall, the cast I think had great chemistry too. The side characters, especially Park Joong-Gil, seemed three-dimensional when they could have easily fallen flat between the many character relationships and stories. I didn't like how the main character became a side character more towards the end. I also wish they revealed Koo Ryeon and Park Joong-Gil's story. I think the "all at once" dumping of all the secrets somewhat made the impact of the ending for Park Joong-Gil less impactful. Overall, a solid watch.

An Episodic Suicide Prevention PSA

I went in to Tomorrow with an open mind, excited for the idea of grim reapers that don't actually guide dead souls, but instead prevent them from dying in the first place. However, I found that the mostly episodic nature of the show ended up making it feel repetitive and uneventful.

Choi Joonwoong (Rowoon) nearly dies when preventing a suicide - a suicide that was supposed to be prevent by the Risk Management Team of grim reapers. While in a coma, his soul enters Jumadeung, a company in the afterlife filled with grim reapers. He is told he can work with the Risk Management Team for 6 months and then return to his body in the world of the living. Joonwoong then spends his days preventing suicides alongside other grim reapers on the team.

I felt like I was always waiting to get more back story on the grim reapers on the team, as well as get more drama from within Jumadeung. While we got to see glimpses of it, it felt like it came way too late in the show. Instead of dragging on a single case for multiple episodes, I wish we got to see more of why the other reapers hate the Risk Management Team, the stories of the other reapers and how that affects them, etc. but they didn't truly flesh that out until the end of the series. I understand they wanted to portray these different suicide cases, but it started to feel a little heavy handed with the suicide prevention psa. I think if it was more balanced between grim reaper drama and the cases themselves, it would've been a much more well-rounded show.

Wanted to like it because of the cast, but the story is depressing

Episodes 1-6 have some light heart warming moments but episodes 7-16 are increasingly traumatic. The cast is excellent., so I really tried to like this. but The tragic stories , though impactful, equal too much heavy drama & so is too depressing for me . Also, the ending is not nailed down enough to give me a real sense of conclusion satisfaction

A Quest to Find the Meaning of Life

From the plot to the acting, to the visual effects and production value, this drama lacks nothing. In fact, it is among the most beautiful and touching dramas I have seen to date, without being too tough to watch, with the occasional inclusion of funny moments and Choi Joonwoong's antics.

This drama truly makes one empathize with those at risk for suicide or who have already attempted it, as it makes one understand the struggles and trauma that often lead one to make this difficult decision.

All of my respect goes to the director, the screenwriter, all the cast, and the entire staff, who came together to bring to life the masterpiece that is "Tomorrow (내일)"!

Thank you!

Very lacklustre storytelling and characters

The show started off strong, but as the story progressed, I felt that the plot wasn’t consistent. The show also had a very myopic view of mental illness; it was very superficial, in my honest opinion. Mental illness is a very complex and nuanced topic, however the show treated it like something that gets cured once and for all. Unfortunately, once the show ended, it left me pretty unsatisfied, especially when it came to the backstories and history of Park Joong Gil and Goo Ryeon.

I honestly would not recommend the show to anyone. The rewatch value is also low.

Unbelievably beautiful and heartbreaking!!

I knew what I was getting into when beginning the series, yet I wasn't prepared for it mentally. Every episode broke my heart and stitched it together. I finished the series yesterday, and couldn't sleep last night because everything was going crazy in my head. You know how it feels like you experienced everything by being there in the show, that's how I felt.

Overall, the plot, cast, acting, everything was spot on. Every character ate their role and did their best. For some, this series might feel more personal, like it did to me, but I hope you all can gain new hope of living a better life after watching Tomorrow.

In real life, no Grim Reaper is coming to save someone, so help each other, be polite and kind to everyone, and please get professional help when needed. Don't suffer alone, coz you are not alone.

2nd Realistic Drama for me

seriously, before 2022 ended, i was planning to watch this drama, but many assignment was waiting for me!!🥹🥹

And... finally!! in february 2023, i recently watched it!!

I don't expected too much because i already saw many videos in TikTok

Tadaaa!! This drama is really incredibleee for me!!

I feel mixed feelings in every episodes, especially episodes 1, and the plot was aaaaaaaa

Really touching💞 and in every episodes has many stories which related in real life

for acting, i shouldn't doubt with (main character) Kim Hee Sun, Lee SooHyuk, Rowoon and Yoon Ji On (i recently know Yoon Ji On and woaahh his acting 👌) hehe

for soundtrack, honestly i didn't really listen so i have no comment

for story, although there many stories touched my heart,
(i don't know if this is spoiler or not)

in last episode, hmm some scene not realistic for solved the problem, but yeah, i think it doesn't really matter for the plot story, so it's okay

So overall for me 9,5/10

*note: sorry my english not really good*
