god tier, a literal masterpiece
I don’t even know where to start in writing this review, I don’t know if I could ever put into words how much this show means to me, there is no rating that could ever feel like enough. I have never had a show affect me this much, it surpasses every bl I’ve watched. I don’t think I will ever love a show more than I do this one. The acting, the visuals, the music, everything was just completely perfect. The cinematography?? Stunning. The actors that were casted were absolutely spot on for their role. We are so lucky to have bible & build play Vegaspete, Mile & Apo as kinnporsche and Jeff & Barcode for Kimchay, the side characters also did an incredible job. Tankhun as a comedic relief character was such a breath of fresh air. The chemistry between all of the main characters was so prominent both on and off screen. I will never get over the fact that we could see the cast members being each others comfort and safe zones. Barcode having to touch/be close to Jeff because he was so nervous was adorable, Jeff always tried to make him feel comfortable and always smiled when he was around. Mile and Apo’s friendship is so genuine and real, the fact that Apo called Mile to make sure he was doing okay after their scenes, bringing him medicine when he had covid PLSSS I love them so much. Bible & Build make me so happy, the hug they shared in the ep 14 behind the scenes, the fact that they’re always smiling around each other. I could feel the passion, desire and tension between Kinn and Porsche and Vegas and Pete. Build absolutely DELIVERED, it’s extremely hard for me to pick a favourite character but I think if I had to I would lean toward Pete, his crying was so convincing, I could feel his pain. The way he was screaming for Vegas will forever haunt me, his FACE when it went from smiling to absolute fear, literally give this man an award. The fact that this was Bible and Mile’s acting debut? Insane. The way Apo can portray his emotions just by his eyes? Breathtaking. Kim’s action scene in the final episode!?!?! UNREAL. Kinnporsche completely took over my life, from re-watching every episode multiple times, constantly going on my phone to look at posts & videos to making edits to reading the novel, to impatiently waiting for the next episode to air (which was torture because I was dying to see what happened next) I’m SO thankful I got to experience this show while it was airing, getting to live tweet with other fans, watching the cast going live on instagram & twitter, getting to watch the behind the scenes after every episode and their live reaction to the finale. Bible & Apo’s reactions to all of the Vegaspete scenes, Apo & Jeff crying!! These characters will forever hold a special place in my heart, I’m so proud of every single one of them. I feel so empty now that it’s over, like a piece of me is missing. I need like an entire year to recoverWas this review helpful to you?

One hell of a ride!
Kinnporsche is one of the best series I've had the pleasure to watch. No, it's not perfect, the plot has few little holes/stuff that left me dissatisfied, but overall this is a product of quality that any BL fan should try to watch at least once in their lifetime.
What can you expect from KP though?
First of all, a pretty damn nice and capable cast. All the actors involved in this project did an amazing job in portraying their assigned characters, delivering funny/dramatic/cheesy/whatever scene with ease.
KP, in fact, it's not about mafia and the dark side of it, it's mostly a love story. It has very serious elements, but also lighthearted and steamy episodes. It's a mix of everything and that can be seen as a plus or a minus.
Two main couples have a proper storyline (and I admit, a third one has a weak development/plot in my opinion - but I won't spoil who I am talking about) and topics such as consent, abuse and trusting others are very well played.
Unfortunately, if there's something that sometimes KP doesn't excel at is displaying human reactions. While 3/4 of the series is okay, near the end the characters started to react and do stuff just because it was needed for the story to progress. But I repeat, this is not a common problem throughout episodes, so it's not that irritating (or, at least, it wasn't enough for me to drive me crazy and drop the rating).
To summarize, you should definitely watch KP if you're looking for a high budget thai BL with interesting couples, nice action scenes, a sprinkle of violence and steamy scenes. If you're looking for a dark thriller/realistic and raw portrayal of mafia, then forget it.
Ps. Also, if you're italian (like me), pls be prepared for broken italian with a very heavy foreign accent. I appreciated them trying tho XD
Pps. Tankhun deserves to be mentioned because this character is A+ and the reason why I gave the rating a +0.5 in my final score. God, I'd love to be his bff. We all need a dramatic Tankhun in our lives!

Episode 13 alone should be in hall of fame of thai productions
Best three months.Loved it.
Its more of a larkon with mafia aspects
Beautiful fighting choreography
Beautiful acting.
Beautiful music.
The views cinematography is insane...felt like i need to go to Thailand and see of they are lying to my eyes.
After episode one setting...episode two kind of throws you out of the loop cause thats when the romance comedy aspects is introduced. It sets the on coming theme of a comedy romace rather than heavy dark theme.
I can understand those who might not adjust to it..but yall are missing out on beautiful rollar coaster ride.

What An Opening Episode!
Talk about grab your attention within the first few minutes! The fast pace of this 1st episode had me hooked within minutes and I'm now anticipating future episodes. The quality of production is great, the actors all seem well suited for their roles (we haven't met everyone yet) and the action scenes are better than many other series I've watched. The hints of humour also were very well placed.
The BL story of a Mafia son and his reluctant Bodyguard had me intrigued from the moment I heard about it and saw the trailers so I'm hoping the series continues on as great as the first episode.

An honest review from a long-time fan of the cast and novel (No Spoilers)
I want to give an honest review, as a fan of the cast before the show started airing and a big fan of the novels. This review will not contain any novel spoilers. By the time I'm writing this review, only 1 episode is released.+ Novel similarities +
I was very impressed by the first episode. The storyline followed the novel closely, but they skipped over many scenes, added new scenes or completely changed things, but they didn't skim over anything important. This was a very good choice of the screenwriters/authors. All our favorite scenes and the core of the story and characters are still there. The changes made the characters more relatable and seem more 'human'. Also, the story was more fast paced, which I liked a lot. It would have taken much longer to reach the scenes at the end of episode 1 otherwise.
Also, the chess game between Chan and Korn was very interesting, it is foreboding that there is a game being played here by Korn. I wonder if they follow the novel, or do something entirely else?
+ Acting +
Mile and Apo did a fantastic job, bringing the characters of the novel to live. First, I had to adapt to the personalities of Porsche and Kinn, because for two years we followed Mile and Apo and I had to tell myself, wait they're Porsche and Kinn now, don't look at them thinking of Mile and Apo! While watching the episode, I was able to turn the switch about half way.
Mile as Kinn, to me, was so sexy, so hot, without showing a lot of skin. It's the confidence, power, mannerisms. I really couldn't see Mile anywhere, the smiley, happy man was replaced by Kinn. He was so amazing. Porsche was borderline annoying, but that means Apo did an amazing job because I remember thinking Porsche was annoying in the novel too sometimes haha. But he's also serious when he has to be, especially when it comes to his brother. Really loved seeing Apo as Porsche, he really is perfectly casted, just like Mile.
Porsche's uncle, Korn, Big (nodt), Ken (Perth), and Jom (ping) are really good actors, especially Nodt (Big) caught my attention each time he came into view, he's really great.
Barcode as Porchay, sometimes I thought he looked nervous while acting and not convincing, but at other times he really did a great job, especially at the scenes with the letter and the more emotional scenes with Porsche. He's very young and this is his first time acting, I think overall he did a good job and I could feel the brotherly love between him and Porsche.
+ BGM & Close-Ups +
At certain times, the music was nice, but sometimes it was not very memorable or non-existent. And there were scenes without background music, where I think BGM would have made the scene better. I hope when the dvd or blu ray set is released, they will do something about the music. Because music in film conveys emotion and feelings, it's so important and adds extra dimension.
Also wish there were more close-up scenes to provide context and visual interest. Close-up scenes of hands, faces, touches, looks, but also the setting, are so important to give more information about the character and the scene, but we got very little. Especially in a Boys Love drama, it is important because it helps create tension between characters, anticipation, and conveys emotions and mood. I hope the future episodes, especially the more intimate scenes, will have more of those close-up shots. Since the first episode was mostly action, I can understand why they save those kind of shots for later episodes!
+ Final Word +
All in all, really good episode, very high re-watch value, and I'm so excited for the next few episodes, especially Vegas and Pete who will play with your emotions a lot. We saw Pete for one second blurred in a corner, and I was so happy to see him, but I guess it wasn't his time to shine yet!

BEST THAI BL TO DATE!!!!
Love it or Hate it, KinnPorsche is the best Thai BL to date. However, from gore to sex - to unconventional relationships - KinnPorsche is filled with a lot of adult content.
If you're into cutesy, first love type of BLs or just handsome men falling in love with each other, this is not for you!
~~ STORY ~~
Just read the summary, but I will say the best part about KinnPorsche is Kinn and Porsche's game of cat and mouse. Neither Kinn, nor Porsche are willing to give in to each other and they are constantly trying to one-up each other. Even when you think that Kinn and Porsche have finally confessed to each other and are now going to become an item, they still play cat and mouse with each other. One moment they are the perfect couple and the next they are at each other's throats.
However, most of their game of cat and mouse might come from the lack of trust they have in each other... Which might be Korn's fault. Kinn's father is the most mysterious character, and possibly the villain of the entire story. Korn has so many secrets and never reveals them until he is forced to, that nothing really is as it seems. Porsche's tragic family background is one example. Korn is hiding so many secrets, in turn making Porsche weary of Kinn and his entire family. It's the mafia, no one can be trusted.
~~ CHARACTERS ~~
Kinn x Porsche
Kinn and Porsche are an amazing couple. While they are a little toxic because they have trust issues, they still are loyal to each other and try to make things work. Kinn's hot-headed and impulsive, while Porsche is more sensitive and understanding than he lets on. They both are two alpha males, who constantly butt-heads, but they fill in the missing parts of each other and that is all that matters to them.
Vegas x Pete
Vegas and Pete were a surprise couple, yet they are very controversial. While not the ideal couple, Pete and Vegas are an interesting couple. There are layers to their relationship, which I will discuss later.
Kim x Chay
If you actually read between the lines for this couple and the limited screen time they have, you can see that Kim was actually interested in Chay from the beginning. It's once he learned that Chay was Porsche's brother, that Kim put on his mafia mask and approached him. After Chay finds out the truth, Kim pushes him away, but is still constantly taking care of him behind the scenes and always calling him. Kim probably has some hidden agenda, like wanting to keep Chay away from the mafia or something like that, but who knows.
Time x Tay
They are the most minor couple in the series, but they are interesting. They maybe got around 20 minutes of screen time in total, but I wish I could see more.
Tay and Time are Kin's friends. Time is a big time politician's son, while Tay is the son of a high ranking officer and hotel chain owner. Time is always cheating on Tay, taking an interest in Porsche's friend Tem. Tay, however, is loyal to Time despite not liking Time's unfaithfulness.
~~ ISSUES IN KINNPORSCHE ~~
Because of the many mature topics in KinnPorsche, there are many people with many different opinions on the many mature topics. Many BL fans live in a fantasy world where they want their favorite BLs to be the utopia they dreamed of. Hot guys, consensual and romantic sex, men being the epitome of Adonis and breathing romance down their loved one's. However, reality if far from utopia. There are many different types of love. Some are romantic and sweet, while others are toxic and crude.
When you look at KinnPorsche and the mafia background, it should be a no-brainer that this world is not utopia. You know the rumors about the mafia, so why should the mafia in KinnPorsche be any different?
KinnPorsche decided to go for a more realistic approach to the mafia, therefore the romance in the series also had to be more realistic. Like it or not, there are many different types of romance. Some are sweet and innocent. While others are more toxic like Kinn and Porsche, and Kim and Chay. There are even some that are downright vile, like Vegas and Pete. And as toxic as these relationships are, KinnPorsche doesn't fetishize these relationships.
1. Consent/Rape - Kinn and Porsche
In the first part of their relationship, you can see there are issues with consent. Kinn takes advantage of Porsche when he is drugged. Fortunately, in the end Porsche was okay with it, but rape is still rape. It's not okay, just because someone is okay with it. Porsche also loses trust in Kinn due to this.
2. Manipulation - Kim and Chay
Kim manipulates Chay's feelings and uses it to dig into Porsche's background. When Chay finds out he is heartbroken, as he should be. Even if you read between the lines and think that Kim is taking care of Chay after everything, the damage has been done. Chay can't trust Kim.
3. Is it Stockholm Syndrome? Vegas and Pete's relationship
At a glance, Pete might be experiencing Stockholm Syndrome. Why else would Pete fall in love with Vegas after Vegas tortures him?
Well, I beg to differ.
It's hinted at multiple times that Pete might have a thing for Vegas, and vice versa. Also, if you look at Pete's defiant eyes, you can tell he hates Vegas, even after he is tortured. His eyes change slightly after seeing how Vegas's father treats Vegas. He sympathizes with Vegas, as his own father beat him too. He understands Vegas's feelings of self-worthlessness. Pete, himself, overcame that to become who he is, so he hopes Vegas can do the same and walk out of his father's shadow.
Feeling emotion for your kidnapper is Stockholm Syndrome right? Well, not in this case. There is a clear distinction between Vegas in mafia-mode and Vegas when he is being his true self. First, mafia-mode Vegas wears really bright and flashy clothes. Vegas, when he is true to himself, wears his hair down and wears more pain clothes. Pete's eyes and demeanor change between who he is talking to. When Pete talks to Vegas in mafia-mode, Pete glares at him and has a clear hate for him. When talking to Vegas being Vegas, Pete relaxes and softens. This is made very clear if you pay attention. Also, even after Pete's escape, he doesn't forgive Vegas or want to have anything to do with Vegas, when Vegas is in mafia-mode. Every time they meet and Vegas is wearing his flashy clothes and holding a gun, Pete holds his gun to Vegas. It's only when Vegas is not in mafia-mode, and is being true to himself, does Pete hold and care for Vegas.
Pete doesn’t have Stockholm syndrome. Why else would Pete escape of his own volition? Would he knock Vegas out and escape if he has Stockholm syndrome and desperately in love with Vegas? Vegas promised that he wouldn't lock up Pete anymore, so why would Pete knock him out and escape? Why?
Anyways, let's talk about Vegas and Pete's very toxic relationship without the Stockholm syndrome angle.
After Pete's capture, we learn more about Pete and Vegas's family background. We learn that Vegas's father mentally and physically abuses Vegas similar to how Pete's father did the same to him. It's when Pete and Vegas learn that they have similar experiences that they start to sympathize with each other. Vegas slowly starts to open up to Pete. He sees that Pete is much stronger than he let's on and starts to emotionally depend on Pete to get him through his troubles. Pete, on the other hand, sees that Vegas isn't all that strong as he makes himself to be, and sees that Vegas has low self-esteem.
One of the controversial scenes... Aside from Vegas torturing Pete... is Pete and Vegas's sex scene. Vegas projects his frustration and in turn, his heart, at Pete. When Vegas shouts, it seems like Vegas is asking why doesn't Pete escape? Why doesn't anyone accept him in mafia-mode? Why does Pete want him to be vulnerable when he's supposed to be strong? What does Pete see in him that he and his father don't? Pete is initially scared of Vegas's outburst, but seeing that Vegas is just confused, he follows his heart and they have sex. It's after their sex scene that you see Vegas regretting his actions towards Pete. After they have sex, they are on the bed talking. Vegas turns to look at Pete and he looks sad. He knows he can't undo his actions towards Pete. He knows he hurt Pete. It's a short moment, but it's there.
After Pete escapes, Vegas seemingly goes back into mafia-mode with his flashy clothes, but Vegas acts different compared to before. Every time he meets Pete, he apologizes and asks Pete to kill him. Vegas doesn't know any other way to redeem himself and what he did to Pete aside from dying. Vegas knows he did wrong and keeps apologizing until the end. He knows Pete is too good for him. Pete, on the other hand, is haunted by Vegas because he saw the good in Vegas. He saw how hurt Vegas was, yet he couldn't forgive what Vegas did to him even after they became one. Pete needed time to think about whether he truly could trust Vegas or not that's why he kept his gun drawn on Vegas. Until Vegas could open up to him and be himself, Pete kept his gun drawn on Vegas.
Vegas and Pete's relationship is very toxic, but when you read between the lines, there is more than meets the eye. They probably will never be able to fix the past, but if in season 2, they can turn over a new leaf and make amends, then maybe they can turn their future relationship into a healthy one. It will take lots of hard work, but Vegas is already trying his best to make amends, so to me, they seem to be the closest couple to be fixing their toxic relationship.
~~ OVERALL ~~
Go watch KinnPorsche.
KinnPorsche can speak for itself, and I don't think I need to beg you to watch it. If you don't watch it, you're missing out.
KinnPorsche really is the best BL to date!

the next week has build and bible when pete was been held by Vegas getting treated badly then good then falling in love with each other
them the sad part when kim and porshay started acting cold towards each other🥺🥺 even though they had feelings for each other. and the funny past when Porsche dressed as a mermaid because he killed Kinn's brother fish and the most iconic moment when kinn and porshe made love to each other and kinn telling his father he was in love with Porsche

EXCEPTIONAL !!!!!
This drama for me is the best one for the year of 2022, and possibly for a long time to come, the number of times I have re-watched this is endless ever since it came to an end.The story, the cast, the locations, the productions, the scenes OMG were out of this world, and the fact that this drama has been trending No1 worldwide speaks volumes all on its own.
I love how each of the characters were so well matched and they fitted there partners well, for me Kinn and Vegas were the hottest throughout this drama. The way each learned to trust and love and work out there difficulties was amazing.
Honestly saying this is a 10 start is a little underrated.
I loved it....
Overall: Lets go do another re-watch (LOL)

I watched this masterpiece twice and im sure that i`ll watch it again. I was sure that KP will be amazing even when it was not released yet. Waiting for each episode was totally worth it. Sometimes i was sad, because i should wait a whole week for new episode, but nonetheless i was never disappointed. In my opinion, the chemistry between the main actors is on high level. The plot, the cast and music was amazing. Every time i heard Why dont you stay, i was on cloud nine. I really like Jeff`s music and acting, of course. I feel sorry for Chay, he deserve happiness and i ship him with Kim ( i hope, in season two, they become a couple). Honestly, on the beggining, i dont think that Vegas and Pete will like each other, but they become my fav. couple of all time. Reading comments about them and i was like " but Vegas likes Porsche" and then "Vegas was with Tawan, maybe he still love him, why everyone think that he will fall in love with Pete??". Whatever. Im so happy for them, even though Vegas is a psychopath..I love this type of dramas. Watching Kinnporsche is totally worth it.

My second best BL
Before starting the series I had some thoughts about it being a bit violent and depressing but it ended up being a cute, sweet, cheesy story as I see Porsche as a guy who makes smile anyone who is looking at him on screen, he's soo cute.Well as fot the adult side I mean not murders, guns or drugs but actual 18+ scenes between Porsche and Kinn were breathtaking I was like "oh, hhmm ... didn't expected them to go so far on sceen but it was a blessing to see"
Also Pete and Vegas had such hot, burning relation wooaahh I always keep on saying myself it's toxic, unhealthy but I still wanted this couple to end up together I mean the tense they create while they are together is crazy
This series has set my BL standards soo high that I'm worried about not being able to find anything good soon

They did find SOME onscreen couple for this (Everyone and everything else was a disaster)
Well, if not for the RAVING reviews, this series would not to live to show me its 10th minute, lol. If I'm NOT interested in something, then it's watching "credible" looking mafia guys trying to be all hotshot, and speaking bad english. The two main actors, one looks a bit mature already (he's 30), is attractive except of his voice (and his bio says he's a singer, lol), the other is not my type (though I guess he is the likeable fun type). But, people wrote like: "Kinn x Porsche ended. I don't know what I'll do with my life, now." LOL. So, I did NOT drop this, though I can confirm that after episode 7 it went massively downhill... And I DID find KinnPorsche couple outstanding. I can't say the same about the other couples, though. The only thing I enjoyed about those was skipping their scenes. (Yeah, Vegas & Pete, too!) This show is called 'KinnPorsche' for a reason. Everyone and everything else was a disaster. My detailed experience follows...1st episode: So, I did not drop this!:-) Skipped some scenes, but the main character's interactions, I had fun! And when I'm having fun 1st episode already, I continue watching. The "job interview" fight was HILARIOUS. And there's the 'Sexual Content' tag to look forward to;-)
Episode 2: Lots of comedy and clearly gay side-characters. Kinn is supposed to be a hardass, yet he's surrounded by toots.
Epi 3: Porsche got reassigned to join Kinn's toot brother's bodyguards, who are all bored out of their wits. Porsche was also bored. I was also bored watching. Isn't it too soon for this show to become boring? Still, it's more Comedy than Drama, the Genres listed here on MDL for this show should probably be adjusted.
Epi 4: First KinnPorsche kiss. The ever so conceited Kinn kisses the ever so carefree Porsche, who is drunk at that time and not sure he only dreamed it:-) There's a comedic scene right afterwards. And I had to smile: the two of them so deserved each other;-) Not only is Kinn the one who kissed first, he's also the one who got jealous first. And despite being his boss, he can't handle Porsche easily: on him, none of his usual methods work. It's just SO enjoyable watching their dynamics. Just to watch Kinn's conceited smile freezing on his lips is a treat. Anyway, someone "smart" thought Kinn & Porsche NOT enough for the series, so there are more characters getting introduced, like "Kim" and "Porchay" who both look lame and I'll be skipping them from now on. After a funny scene where Kinn has to rescue his own bodyguard and admit his attraction for him, we get to first sex scene (Porsche is not drunk, he is high this time:) so it looks like the boredom is gone. Though this show IS over crowded by various toots, freaks and lame looking bad/boys.
Epi 5: Porsche gets sober. To be honest, it's the first time his character is seen sobering up in general:-) It does fit the situation though, because no matter all the comedy, the day he entered the mafia bussiness his carefree days were numbered. Is that worth the money he is earning? It was already mentioned before, that all his house debt and his younger sibling's education cost was taken care of just by selling Kinn's watch from their first random encounter. I'm no longer interested in watching the side-character toots. There's scene of Kinn with his father, reminding him he should not focus on one piece of the whole chessboard only, resulting in Kinn deciding punishment for Porsche, for his letting himself be drugged on duty:-) With this irony, his letting himself be f****d by his boss on duty is left unmentioned, lol. Watching Porsche being punished, I couldn't help thinking he would be better off had he (after getting Kinn's watch) never accepted to work for him. Why did he have to go through any of this? Then, both Kinn & Porsche try to sleep with other people to forget. This seems to be more important for Porsche, because in his case he could be the top with that other person, also that person is female. There's not much need for Kinn to change, he's doing his usual, so him being bothered that it's someone else than Porsche looks like more serious involvement... There's this "Vegas" guy who's supposed to bring more element into this, but he doesn't have a good cast. And it's not just him. Basically, anyone except Kinn, Porsche, Pete, or Big is unwatchable. Then, Porsche actually receives a decent offer from his employer, especially considering Porsche did cause him some trouble:-) He can take a leave, be with his younger brother, then decide if he wants to return to the job, or walk away without any hassle. I must say this satisfied my reservations. Then, we get a small rom-com part by the end of this episode:-)
Epi 6: "Mafia action" is back, again. Kinn & Porsche just barely started to talk about the two of them, so of course they were soon interrupted. I was prepared to endure endless action sequences, but instead, the two of them are alone in a wilderness:-) They are stuck together so they have plentiful interactions. And it's fun again, and it's cute and adorable:-) It's like they went on a sort of a prolonged date. I admit by now I find both Kinn & Porsche's casting suitable (Kinn's bewitching handsomeness Vs. Porsche's immense cuteness) and them both well compatible together. It's romantic and even Kinn repeats the good deed of his father. Even Kinn lets Porsche go.
Epi 7: It's now clear that Kinn loves Porsche, he took a bullet for him. It's clear that Porsche won't leave his job with him. It's 1/2 series still ahead. It's implied that Kinn might switch places with Vegas within the mafia hierarchy (if Vegas succeeds to do that), and asks Porsche to still stay with him, if that happens. Personally I didn't care about this plot, it didn't matter to me whether Kinn is major or minor mafia member, I'm more about excitement in relationships. Even if this might be just a beginning of a some bigger plot. The Vegas guy (unlucky name, thai are unable to pronounce "s" at the end of the word) is lame and I'm not interested in him. If he's to be coupled with Pete, it might be the only thing that might save the boredom of watching him. (I'm skipping the "Kim" and "Porchay" scenes entriely.) The minor family entertains Porsche in seemingly more kind & relaxed environment (where everyone eats in an open courtyard overlooked by multiple tall buildings: which can harbor unknown number of snipers, lol) offering cool toys to Porsche, while Kinn looks like in an awkward position in compare, as everyone can tell that he's in love. But then everyone remembers the last time that happened, he got paranoid and killed his guy. Porsche hears about this. Kinn doesn't want to be paranoid this time, yet he lives the kind of life where everything pushes a person to be paranoid... Last scene, after Vegas pi**es off, it's good stuff again;-) I'm loving this:-D This is not boring!:-D
Epi 8: Happy phase. KinnPorsche are dating. They're both super adorable:-) When Porsche thinks he's being haunted by Kinn's dead ex, it's hilarious. But when that one turns out to be alive and becomes added character on the show, it's clearly a mistake...
Epi 9: Let the dead rest! Adding Tawan into the mix was the kind of mistake I could see BEFORE it happened. This show went downhil at 1/2 already, which is an exceptional pitty, it WAS so enjoyable, LOL. Pete is likeable & funny. A bit unconvincing as a bodyguard, a bit mushroom haircut, but generally a nice guy. But, didn't they have anyone better to pair him with, than "Vegat"? (Thai are unable to pronounce Vegas.) That guy looks horrendous. I'm not interested in watching this side couple. I know about the couple only from reading other reviews praising it, by the way. It's not that anything is really happening between the two as of yet.
Epi 10: Vegas, Vegas, Vegas... Who cares about him? He keeps hovering around Porsche, nothing in between him and Pete, like everyone mentiones. Then there's Tawan again... Who cares about HIM? This show, I'm skipping enough characters already. Now even the main line got plagued by the weeds. I found the whole Vegas-Tawan plot idiotic and it took 2/3 of this episode to resolve it. What now? Okay, now there's Vegas-Pete. But even Pete is too cool for Vegas. Luckilly, we leave that off soon and we get to watch KinnPorsche couple scene in which Porsche punishes Kinn in a way that even I can't spoiler for you, LOL.
Epi 11: Okay, the Vegat-Pete couple everybody appreciates so much? These two get first proper one-on-one scene in episode 11/14, not sooner. And it features Vegat torturing Pete. Is that supposed to be romantic or what? LOL. I found Pete still more cool than banshee-faced Vegat with his "toys". Does he get off on it? I'm not even interested to know. I would so wish Pete would get an attractive guy. He is not really hot but he is cute, with even cuter personality;-) But this "Vegat" is lame both character/actor. Normally I would skip any scene he is in. KinnPorsche are no longer exciting. They got happy too early. But, they both say they love the other for people to hear, which is cute. Vegat keeps getting on my nerves, besides being really ugly he's got the annoying habit of randomly speaking in english, despite being surrounded by thais only, in his natal Thailand. Did I mention "lame"? The only thing I wished to see would be that Pete would kill him, despite being the one held there in chains. That would have really delighted me:-) After all, we still have 3 episodes left. I would love them Vegas-free.
Epi 12: At the stage where I am WAY past being attracted to the lead couple (Kinn's looks reminded me of Michael Jackson a bit at one point, and after I saw that, I could not unsee it, so I don't like him anymore), yet another bit of past is revealed which explains why was Porsche accepted into Kinn's house so easily. And why morally speaking, he kind of belongs into the family... It brings a short KinnPorsche angsty moment, which I enjoyed, and also emotinal conclusion. As for our 2nd couple I started reluctantly watching: After his hedgehog dies so it doesn't have to listen to Vegat's english anymore, Pete gets out of his chains. I so wished he would just leave (I would follow his scenes, but not Vegat's anymore), but of course, no. Pete stayed even though he certainly didn't owe him any friendship. I didn't find it touching. Vegat didn't deserve him. And thanks to Pete's stupid decision I kept watching him, instead of skipping all his scenes easily. Then there's a kiss scene & bedscene between the two, which I found a BIT unconvincing, maybe? I mean Pete's whole body was weakened and covered with wounds which Vegat first inflicted, then mended, he practically dragged Pete out of his coffin in the last minute. So, I just didn't find him then jumping his bones that hot, LOL. Plus, Vegat is creepo and when Pete looks like he's enjoying his kinky stuff, he looks creepy, too. I don't like Pete anymore. Okay, now I can completely skip this couple, LOL. Then there is an ending scene which hints that yet more of Porsche's family past shall be revealed next time. Ugh, I would prefer that theme to be closed by this episode. But, just like with Tawan, I bet the writer won't stop at the right point (obviously never heard of "Less Is More").
Btw., I noticed now (it took me a while, lol) that the end credits repeat the same title song, only sung in english. It doesn't sound as good when in english, though. I prefer the opening credits version.
Episode 13: We ARE to niggle in the past, like there wasn't enough of that. Why didn't the writer learn? Imagine they would do the same with Tankhun and let him occupy the screentime ALL the episodes with his "humour", so no one would be actually able to enjoy the drama LOL. But, it's like when we get rid of one annoying element, they immediatelly put a new one in place. So, after bearing with Tankhun-Tawan-Vegas (whom I skip by now, along with Pete), we bring back even the shady "uncle", to harrass us some more... Porsche doesn't do much about it yet, meaning it would plague the final. As if he knew I just mentioned him, Tankhun makes an appearance, too:) He's all tearful and worried about Pete, which is an awkward watch, as his actor really cannot act. Which includes he doesn't know how to cry onscreen, so he wails like a hyaena.
Final: Well, the only thing final epi lacked was a ghost haunting & UFO landing. First, it was funny, the way Pete returned, also blissfully without Vegat. But then, it looked Vegat is going to hang out with Porsche, again, and help solve his family past drama. SO not interested in that both... I didn't like what was revealed, as mentioned hundred times: Less is more. What we thought in episode 12 was enough. Gun as a jealous and frustrated relative, NOT main villain, was enough (minor & major family was supposed to COMPETE as a smart way to always stay on top as a FAMILY, not to stupidly annihilate one another: and then the final twist surprise is even more stupid and it's a total hispanic telenovela farce). Tawan as a dead boyfriend was enough. Pete as a friendly character was enough and would suffice as a comic relief (originally, he was more funny than the braying Tankhun). Kinn & Porsche was enough, no need for Kim & Porchay. AND the main plot about being a mafia boss & his bodyguard, was also ENOUGH.
This is why thai series never really achieve greatness.
Because it never knows when it's enough.
P.S.: The only thing I wished to happen during the silly mess "videogame-action" sequences was for Vegat to accidentally kill Pete and then weep his gay weep, because that's what the character deserved. He never deserved the cool moments he had. But, LOL at Porsche's "I have another gun";-) Which was the last good moment of KinnPorsche. You'll excuse me if I thought it moronic of Porsche to accept the ring right after he witnessed what the guy did with its previous owner, and then have his "cool" walk around the corridors. Or brain-damaged family reunion. It couldn't be more kitchy, I was not able to hold even my original 8 stars rating in place. But! Episode 7 final scene rating: 10. LOL.
