Why WETV Doesn't Save the Last Watched Minute: Is It to Keep Us Hooked Until the End?

If you pause in the middle of an episode on Netflix and return to it tomorrow, the episode will continue from where you left off, just like on YouTube. However, WETV does not save the minute where you paused. Is it because they want us to stay until the end of the episode so we don't forget where we stopped?
