Painful but heart-warming drama.

I've watched a lot of xianxia dramas and I include this drama as one of my favorites, Zhao Lusi and Wang Anyu's Chemistry are really superb!!♥‿♥

I love seeing the character change from A yin and Gu Jin who are cute and adorable to Feng Yin and Yuan Qi who are elegant and powerful, they both brought this drama sooo well!!! Zhao Lusi and Wang Anyu also performed the OST for this drama, the song is very touching and sad but it makes me want to hear it over and over again.

Li Yunrui and Jianaina's chemistry as the second lead pair cannot be doubted either, I really like their relationship dynamics, where they fight for a while, then they make up, then become enemies again and finally become a sweet couple!

Everyone is working hard on this drama, hoping that F4 can be together again in one project in the future!!

I didn't expect that I really liked this drama.

I watched this drama when it was on-going until episode 15 and then I stopped because it was a little boring, BUT after the drama finished I just continued watching again AND IT WAS VERY GOOD!!!!

In my opinion, the cgi and editing are not too bad for a xianxia drama which only took about 8 months to air since the last shooting. Again and again, there is no need to doubt Zhao Lusi's chemistry with his co-stars, I fell in love at first sight with Wang Anyu's good looks and acting here. I love the music, some of it is sung live by Lusi and Anyu, they are very talented!

I won't talk too much about the plot, there are too many painful things that ultimately lead to death because this is xianxia drama. I like their acting which can bring the audience's feelings into the storyline.

Nit so impressive.

Some aspects of repetition worked well but on the whole I felt there was too much repetition. Too much going back to their school days and reliving the exact same thing over and over. The love story was very nice, their chemistry was good. But family life was not portrayed in a good light at all. No forgiveness, no real understanding of each other. One scene annoyed me and didn't seem necessary - when on the same day he was being checked in hospital for a wound and he'd had 8 stitches in his hand - she asked him to carry her and he did so without a problem... that seemed a bit odd. On the good side - it was about the possibility of healing and sharing the truth with people around you for support.

Enjoying this so far

I do enjoyed this so far.

A little slow burn rn, but the drama started exciting in the first episodes. playful and a bit childish, but that's how it should be in the beginning. I think as time goes on everything will be more serious. A Yin (Zhou Lusi) is so cute, innocent and playful. She fits so well in such roles. For Yuan Qi (Wang Anyu), it seems like he will make some stupid decisions here and there in the beginning, and I think the role suits him well. Many may feel disappointed at first, but give it time. The drama gets better with time. ❤️

Ditunggu ep selanjunya👍👍👍👏👏👏

A drama full of interesting storyline and not too heavy and easy to understand. Each character played by the artists is carried with enthusiasm. The female lead played by Zhao lusi and male lead Wang yu have made a deeper impact in this storyline more interesting..I am very interested in the custom that they use looks beautiful, colourful and elegant..Through the 6 episodes that i have watched i am very satisfied even though there is a little lack in the cgi part but does not effect the whole this story line. The cooperation between each actor involved in this drama is really good and make the best result..Everyone has their own opinion and i really love this story and I'm looking forward to next episode..

The Last Immortal is a stress reliever

Everything about this drama is great! The first 8 episodes are pure eyecandy! I love Zhao Lusi's voice and everyone else's! The costumes are so on point! The cgi 100%. I am enjoying the adventures of Jin and Ayin. Can't wait for new episodes and with too much time on my hand this week taking care of my child who is home sick, i got to watch ALP to get a gist of Jin's origin.

I love how each character is portrayed. The best artists are well fitted to their roles. I cannot wait for the angst and see all the casts perform with high emotions. I have no idea if it's from a novel but i love the surprises i see each time i watch new episodes. I am watching it with anticipation of light entertainment.

A Journey worth watching til the end…

Currently on Top of my Watchlist and keeps me wanting to see more how the leads story unfolds.
It might not be a cup of Tea for others but definitely my Cup of Coffee! :) Keeps me up all night rewatching and up in the morning to watch as it currently airs.

It’s a storyline worth standing on its own and a story of growth, self-realization, and a path of the greatest love story about to unfold….

Per my perspective, you really don’t have to overthink the plot but sufficient enough to make theories, because of how this journey started and hopes how this story ends . On top of that, the OST is MAGICAL, ACTING is on POINT! COSTUME… je l'aime!😘

Love, love, love How it is starting from innocence to the point of silliness (hahaha), to the subtle “caring” without knowing, the goofy banters but also learning, and falling without realizing…. (ugh I know I will pay for it dearly later down the line when they catch em’ feels and fall too hard).

The Key is patience and perseverance on how Ayin & Gu Jin’s story evolves from master-servant, to best-mate, to lovers trope along with their “friends”. I can’t help but root for them and cheer them on! LOL
I love the pacing so far… It’s giving, let these kids have their fun cause they don’t have ANY idea what they are about to go thru!!!🤧

It has only been 5-6 episode in for me as I type this review, but I will have to say this, enjoy the show while you can, smile and laugh a little and embrace the light part of the drama cause I can foresee the ANGST forthcoming brought by “the chaos” looming for our leads.. Tissues, Coffee or Tea and a warm blanket will be your weapon in the future coming episodes…🥹

Let’s go to this journey together ‘til the end…💜

Sidenote: I will come back and update this review as I go on a journey to collect the “horcruxes” … I mean fragments of the Phoenix. LOL

Drama is good only because of A Yin

I confess that I just didn't drop this drama because I love Zhao Lu Si.
Yuan Qi irritates me with his passion for a woman who has nothing to do with him, I loved A Yin, she's super fun, it's a shame she's in love with a muggle, who doesn't know anything about anything.
I know that Yuan Qi is the son of Shanggu and Bai Jue, but his father was much better than his son.
In short, the drama is good only because of A Yin, because if it were a matter of Yuan Qi we would be lost, I sincerely hope that it improves in the next episodes, because as it is now, it's not good at all.

Mythical setting, mortal levels of boredom

I probably should have known that this will be as boring as Ancient Love Poetry, but I gave it a  try because my favorite Chinese Actress is in it. But after giving it a good go, I had to drop it at 25%. I wasn’t sure if it was her character or performance that was ho-hum, but either way, I couldn’t justify spending my time watching this bore-fest.

Gu Jin is also as dumb as they come. Sorry to say, I don’t find this kind of hero endearing at all. Not only is he a wuss, but he gets away with literal murder (though accidental) just because he’s supposedly the son of the Great So and So. His “punishment” is very light compared to his grave “mistake.” If he were in another Wuxia drama, he will probably get at least 20 lashings, or at least a few severe thunder strikes. But his vanilla castigation is to roam the three realms and try to recover the essence that he destroyed. I’m not saying it’s an easy feat, but he seemed to find them with very little effort. The way he went about it, seems more like an adventure, and less of a trip of repentance.

In addition, he is insufferably oblivious and clings to Peacock Princess as if she were the only woman ever to walk the earth. Not to mention, I already surmised who the villains are going to be from a mile away. Very predictable and nothing worth indulging. Besides, Lu Si’s baby-talking in this drama was grating on my nerves no matter how I much I love her. Nice try, but this ain’t for me.

Very Entertaining Drama

Very entertaining & youthful version of Xianxia drama - that's the highlight of The Last Immortal. Xianxia drama had lost its popularity among younger audience and The Last Immortal will bring back GenZ Audience back to this genre.
The drama has a youthful appeal & even CGI visual effects also adds to the overall young audience vibe.
Loved some of the funny interpretation of Xianxia they have included .
Very good drama and it has a big re-watch value . That's another plus point which I saw in The Last Immortal. Giving it 10/10 since this drama is Xianxia 2023 .

A fantasy drama like no other, must watch!

Really loving this fantasy drama, a story between the young immortal gods, both main leads are still naively young but Ayin is smarter. It doesn't start with some romance but it'll progress how the main leads had to work and support each other inorder to release them from master/servant contract bestowed towards them. And of course both are not happy about the situation but this is where their destiny with fun and adventure begins.

The first 4 episodes is about Ayin meeting Gu Yin for the first time and already this is hilarious with Gu Yin accidentally killing the 2nd phoenix before even meeting her ; then later he found a water beast egg that a part of Feng Yin scattered soul went inside the egg .... I love how A Yin despite being only a water beast she actually plays an important part of Gu Yin's development of his power. Gu Yin is too naive and makes you wanna smack him for his gullibility. While Ayin got a good heart to heal others as well as too smart with a good for his own good, she could tell from what is bad and good. There are already some signs of feelings development after Ep5 and it seems Ayin fall for him first and Gu Yin despite showing signs of emotions may not realize it so soon.. With the first 8 episodes you can watch now in Wetv, the story is already captivating with interesting story lines between the Yin, a diligent Shuining Beast, and Gu Jin, son of the true God whose magic power was sealed . How they will overcome their predicament will show in each episodes with how things are developing and it'll get more interesting! just can't wait to see more of the episodes!

As for the main leads, ZhaoLusi truly delivers a brilliant acting in her role here as a smart and innocent water beast, Ayin with her original cute voice; then changes to Feng Ayin for a more matured demeanor character worthy of a princess... Wang Anyu also suits well in his role as the naive and powerless immortal god, it seems he really portrayed his acting well when you just hated this guy for being lazy, naive and happy go lucky LOL he did well i think ... i hope he wakes up and realize his true feeling towards Ayin soon....

As for the CGI I do believe that it was brilliant and amazingly well done, the back drop and scenery is quite vivid and colorful depicting the three realms; luv the heavenly setting the most of course but also having light cgi is good not because of low budget but sometimes simplicity is best, like the one in the death realm with only purple flowers and darkness around nothing to exagerate about after all this is xianxia.
